Not too familiar with your particualr vehicle, but I will try to offer a few suggestions. Some vehicles come with overdrive switches in the cab that allow you to shut the overdrive off. These can short out. Your tranny might also have a selenoid that's going bad or perhaps you just need to flush the tranny out.

everybody has this question when it comes to comparing the 2004 marauder with the 96 impala ss. both cars are full size sedans with big v8s. most would agree that they are evenly match in the performance department. so what exactly set them apart? well in this case the marauder seem to have the upper edge over the aging SS. the marauder is more modern and tune better than the SS. the SS is a sloppy driving machine. it doesn't corner like the marauder does, the weight is not distributed evenly throughout the car which makes a big difference in driving. basically the marauder would beat the SS but not leave it in the dust, because the SS is not slow, but it just drive differently, plus its much more heavier.

finally it all depends who driving the cars, and how they drive it.

Need to bring to a garage that has an ABS scanner. Sometimes just driving it will clear codes, because it has been idle for so long one of the sensors may have gotten bocked by dirt or leaves etc.

If you mean the air ride system, could cost more then what the car is worth. Depends where you get the parts. Check out " strutmasters.com" They will have what you need.

WHat model Merc is it? Most are on the starter itself. Look at the starter, if it has a large wire and one or two small wires the sel is on the starter, if the starter has only one large wire and nothing else the sel is somewhere else, follow the large wire and you will find it.

-- Model would be helpful to determine this for sure. But here is the best way to find it on most cars. Find the positive battery terminal (+) on the battery. Follow the thick cable coming off that. It will either go to something bolted to the fenderwell (which should have some smaller wires & one other thick wire attached to it), or all the way down to a smaller cylinder mounted o nthe larger cylinder of the starter.

Either of those is the solenoid. Ford/Lincoln/Mercury often used the fenderwell mounted solenoids on their cars.

Another option for helping find parts is to go to the auto parts store (or their website, and look up the part, then look at what the new one looks like, and try to match that to something under the hood.

It is not adjustable. A solid state sensor is used. This sensor will only work while moving and you should keep the car moving forwards constantly for a minimum of 10 minutes before you rely on the reading as the reading is taken from time to time, not constantly.

If there has been a frontal impact (crash) the sensor or wiring may be damaged.
