How do you remove the rear deck on a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue?
You need to take the back seats out. The lower part of the seat just presses in at the front. Where your ankles would be if you are sitting in the seat. Once you get that out you can see the bolts that hold the top/ back in.
Where is the oil filter located on a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue?

What could be the cause of a 1999 Oldsmobile intrigue service engine soon light staying on?
Any problem with the car that affects its emissions will cause the light to come on and stay on until the problem has been fixed. (There are literally dozens of possible causes.)
How do you program a keyless remote for an 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue?

How many miles per gallon does a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue get?
Mine gets about 16 / 22 (3.5L engine) but it's also got 115k miles on it and a bad wheel bearing. I have been getting between 25 and 27 mpg, mostly highway driving.
Where is the fuse box on an Oldsmobile Intrigue?
If your Intrigue is equipped with California Emissions controls (as my '00 is), you will find a third fuse box. It sits next to the regular fuse box in the engine compartment. In my 99 Oldsmobile Intrigue GL, my fuse box is on the passenger's side panel. I'm not sure if the Intrigue has multiple fuse boxes ? But, on my '99 GL - the fuse box is located under the hood ... behind the battery. It has a plastic cover. You may find a fuse puller inside - also, a diagram of the fuse locations is provided inside the cover along with spare fuses. My Olds Intrigue has both fuse panel locations. Behind the passengers door AND under the hood on the passengers side. The 1999 Intrigue has 2 fusebox locations...a larger fusebox under the passenger side of the hood, (unscrew the large turnhandle in the center of the box to open) which contains the larger fuses, a fuse puller, and the relays. There is also a fusebox on the interior of the passenger side...open the passenger door all the way up, and look at the side of the console panel, between the glovebox and the door. There should be a "finger hole" for you to pull open. It may be VERY hard to get open; mine is. Here you will find the smaller fuses. A diagram of the contents are on the inside of both lids.
That's hard to say. The first thing I would do is to unhook the ground cable, then go to the main fuse box under hood ( it may be called power center, etc.,). Under the fuse center there are screws that hold the center together, and if they become loose, you will have problems with electrical circuits that are otherwise not at all related. there is also a junction box where the circuits come thru the fire wall; I would check these too. I hope you get it fixed. I'll bet your headlights will stay on if you turn them on manually, using the switch at the end of the turn signal lever. I've got TWO 1999 Intrigues, and both had this same problem. When the first one developed the headlight/air conditioner problems, I thought it might be the Automatic Dual Zone Climate Control mechanism, but, since it's an electrical part costing $560.00, I decided to swap the unit between the two cars. Am I glad I didn't spend the money, because that wasn't the problem. I finally took the car to the dealer for diagnosis. They told me it was a bad ignition switch. I bought the part (about $90), replaced it (a big job), and everything's been fine since then. When the second Intrigue's cruise control quit working, I didn't associate it with the same type of problem. Then, my heater wouldn't change from floor to vent, and then the headlights would come and go. I replaced the ignition switch in this car, too, and all the problems went away. Why would Oldsmobile route everything through the ignition system?
How do you remove cv axle 2000 olds intrigue?
It's a pain. The inner cv joint goes into the transmission and "snaps" into place by a little ring around the shaft. To get it out you must somehow pull the cv axel straight out toward you. It's not easy. I cheat and use an old dent puller tool. there is no easy way to get it out. Be creative. You gotta replace it anyway so go nuts. Lol.
Where is the PCV valve located on a 1999 Olds Intrigue?
Under the "sight shield," the plastic engine cover. Remove the two black 13mm nuts, then unhook from the clip on the rear valve cover. The PCV valve is located in the front valve cover, on the transmission end of the motor, opposite the oil filler cap.

What would cause standing water on the passenger side of a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue?
If it is coolant, it is a leaking heater core. If it is just water, the A/C condenser drain line is plugged. Crawl under the car passenger side and find the drain line. Use a blunt object such as a pencil to unclog it. One other remote possibility is a leak at the windshield.
Answer 2I just recently had this problem, did your blower motor or resistor go out to? It's because under where the cabin air filter is located the weather strip is either off, or it is not there. you have to loosen one screw to get to it under a black panel on the passenger side under the hood. Right by the vent where your wiper blades are located, ander the black panel is your answer.
Answer 3Answers 1 and 2 are both correct, but limited. I offer the following additional information.
Regarding "coolant." Generally, when there is a coolant leak into the passenger compartment, there will be a very strong ODOR, usually not very pleasant!!! If a disagreeable odor ACCOMPANIES the leak, that confirms a coolant leak, probably the HEATER CORE, but possibly a HOSE connection to the core. It is important to MAKE SURE the core is truly defective [leaking]before replacing it, as a replacement core is expensive.
Regarding the other possible leaks in answer 1, a "leak at the winshield," or a clogged/backed up condensate "drain line." These are two possibilities, BUT there are many other possible sites for a leak admitting rainwater. One was pointed out in answer 2, which only applies for vehicles in which the RESISTOR assembly is mounted to the PLENUM[encloses the core] INSIDE the engine compartment. On many vehicles the resistor assembly is mounted inside the passenger compartment, and therefore cannot be involved in a leak.
Some other examples of possible rainwater leaks include: the gasket around the right front door, plugged drains at the bottom of the right front door, the vent window gasket [if your vehicle has one], and the right windshield wiper assembly [but only if it penetrates the COWL (firewall)]. There are probably a few more possible sources, but that is all I can think of right now.
The very first step in correcting ANY leak problem is to DETERMINE the ACTUAL SOURCE OF THE LEAK!!!!! It may not be cheap, but it will be cheaper than replacing an expensive heater core that was NOT leaking!!!!! PLUS, there is a lot of expensive LABOR required to replace a heater core!
Hope this helps. Good luck.
I had this problem and found someone took out the cabin air filter and while replacing it found the rubber trim was displaced. Popped it back on and no more water. Its under the black plastic trim vent piece between the wipers. Don't have to remove wipers just park them vertically then remove the plastic screws to check.
Where is the secondary air injector for 2000 Olds Intrigue?
The secondary air injection pump is located near the drivers side headlight behind the fender. There is a plastic cover (2 pieces) in the wheel-well that screws to the fender using Phillips head screws. Turn the steering wheel to the right to move the wheel out of the way, and remove the lower front plastic fender guard. Once this plastic guard is removed the pump is exposed. You can also remove the bumper cover to gain easier access, but that takes about 8 screws under the car and a bolt and two plastic fittings near the hood latch.
This will expose a pump which is bolted to the engine compartment by a bracket. The pump is held in place with three nuts, and the bracket is held in place with two bolts. The pump has an air inlet hose which ends in a filter that hangs behind the fender (there is a TSB which moves this intake into the air intake box just behind the headlight this helps with avoiding water intake). There is one electrical connection on the top of the pump.
Troubleshooting advice. Once you have exposed the pump, cold start the car (ambient temperature above 41F), and you should hear the pump run for 1-2 minutes (high pitched whine, or you can feel vibration in the pump. If it is not running, check the 30A relay. The relay can blow due to excessive current draw either due to a frozen or failed pump. Also check the ground wire as that is another possible problem (these pumps draw a lot of current, so any resistance is bad).
There is a TSB and an upgrade for the pump intake that will help prevent moisture in the future.
The outlet side of the pump pushes air into the exhaust, and must overcome exhaust pressure. The exhaust tube can become clogged, and there are two check valves which can fail. You can pull the exhaust outlet, jumper the pump and check for air pumped from the outlet side. If the pump is working it is possible the tube check valves (2) may have failed. These valves check back pressure from the exhaust.
One suggestion I have heard is to avoid hard acceleration or high rpm's (and thus higher exhaust pressure) until the engine has warmed up and the pump has switched off (1-2 minutes). Another suggestion is that ecm uses O2 sensor to detect problem with secondary air inject, so replacing O2 sensor might fix.
Another mechanic's comments on valves - you may need to replace 1 or both of the 2 solenoid valves on the exhaust manifolds. When moisture gets into this air injection system it can ruin the valves as well as the pump.
Where is the signal flasher on a 2000 Oldsmobile intrigue?
In the fuse box under the hood. There is a diagram on the lid of the box.
How do you turn off the change oil light in 2002 Oldsmobile intrigue?
Turn your key to on, but don't turn the engine on. Pump the gas peddle three times slow and steady under 10 seconds that is. And then turn on the car and the light should go out!
Where is the crankshaft sensor on 99 Intrigue 3.5L?
Someone believes you should, "Take Your coolant tank off and the sensor is located under it. It's fairlly simple to replace once you find it."; You will find a sensor there but not the crankshaft sensor. On a 99 Intrigue with a 3.5L, the crankshaft position sensor is in the engine block just above and behind the starter. get under the car, remove the starter and you should find what you are looking for.
Check the linkage between the throttle and the controller box. There is a cable at the butterfly then switches to a nylon strap at the controller box/winch. More than likely the nylon is broke. A similar nylon is at Wally world for ~.80 a roll. Be careful of the length "very important" if you sew the piece together. A new box is a little above $200. Not sure if the cable is available as a single part. Hope this helps.
How do you change the spark plugs on a 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue with a 3.5 engine?
how do change the spark plugs and the coil pack on a 2000 Oldsmobile intrigue
Is it really getting hot, or is the gauge reading a little high? Did you replace the thermostat with the same temp rating? Thermostats of the same rating can vary by 5%. Also, if you had an overheat, it could have fried the temp sensor (sending unit), which could cause the gauge to be way off. The important thing is if the thermostat is opening and closing to regulate the coolant temp. Hope this helps. --Also have your radiator checked for proper air/water flow. This is often last checked or even overlooked. If the car is running cooler on the freeway with AC off but is running hotter in city driving, it's more than likely your radiator has issues. Also, if you require a new radiator, be sure to have the system completely drained/flushed, and refilled with Prestone (or any) GREEN antifreeze, NOT Dex-Cool.

Why is there no heat on the driver's side of a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue?
Sorry, I do not have an answer to your question, but I'm having the same issue with my 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Theheat is working on the passenger side, but blowing cold air on the drivers side. Go figure, I'm usually the only person in the car. Have you found out anything yet?
I dunno if this will help, but i had the exact same problem. i found out a "30a fuse" was missing for the air pump under my fuse box near the battery. i bought the fuse at autozone. When i plugged that in and started my heater again, it fixed it right up. I've also read rumors around the internet that if you leave the doors open and disconnect the negative the temp control will reset itself. (didn't work for me though and locked my radio).
How do you replace the blower resistor on a 2000 Olds Intrigue?
Disconnect the battery negative cable. !!!Power is still on when ignition switch off!!!
I have Olds Intrigue 2000. Blower control resistor (Controller) located behind the
blower motor. Very close to the firewall, and it is a pain in the neck to get there.
Using 5.5 mm. socket remove the blower first. (3 screws are holding the blower)
Using the same socket (5.5 mm) remove one visible screw which holds the resistor.
You will have to loosen two other screws located between the resistor and firewall. You don't need to remove them completely, just loosen them! Resistor just slides out
when they loose.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disconnect the battery negative cable.
Remove the RH instrument panel insulator retainers. Adjust the carpet for access.
Disconnect the courtesy lamp from the instrument panel insulator by turning 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
Remove the RH instrument panel insulator.
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the blower motor resistor.
Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector from the blower motor.
Loosen, do not remove, both forward screws. The blower motor resistor opening is slotted as access is extremely limited.
Remove the rearward screw.
Remove the blower motor resistor.
