Let the engine cool and press down and twist the radiator cap to the left to remove it. Fill the radiator to the top and reinstall the cap. Check the coolant level in the overflow reservior and fill it to the fill line.

Smoke from the radiator would be do to a leak evaporating off of it. Find the leak repair or replace necessary parts.

In a closed cooling system, as the radiator fluid cools after shutting off the engine, the fluid contracts creating a vacuum in the colling system. This vacuum sucks fluid from the overflow tank via the radiator cap so as to keep the radiator full even when the engine is off. If the radiator cap's internal check valve is plugged or stuck shut, or the overflow hose/tube is clogged or not functioning, the vaccum will collapse the upper radiator hose instead of sucking fluid from the overflow tank as it should. Try to clean radiator cap by pushing on spring while submerged in clean warm soapy water so as to clean it out and also clean out overflow tank and hose/tube to make sure all gunk is removed. Also, make sure radiator fluid is clean. Better yet, drain and fill with new fluid. Should be done often anyway to prevent head gasket failure and or water pump failure. If no improvement, replace radiator cap with oem one from dealer. Do not use aftermarket. May not have check valve or may have improper pressure rating, leading to leaks and/or overheating.

It all depends on what kind of car you have. Most of them you have to press down very hard to be able to turn counterclockwise and remove.

From the front of the vehicle, on the passenger side of the bottom of the radiator, there is a plastic plug with a Phillips head screw. There may be a plastick cover under the vehicle that you may have to remove. (Piece of cake, held on by four Phillips head screws.) There may also me an access hold in the plastic cover exposing the drain plug. Simply unscrew the plug to drain the radioator. Once the plug is removed, removing the radiator cap will speed up the draining process. Once drained, simply reinstall the plug. (Do not overtighten, just make snug.) Refill radiator with a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water.

on my 95 SE its on the drivers side of car ,look down the right side of radiator,

If your referring to the drain plug, it's on the driver side of the radiator on the very bottom facing the front of the car. CCW opens the drain valve and CW closes it.

If the water is circulating, simply fill the radiator while the car is running. If there is an air blockage, a heate hose that loops up, you can install a T fitting in it that will allow the air to escape. Usually running the car while filling will do it.

Turn the black reservoir lid counter clockwise and lift it out. It can be very tight sometimes and if you have to do it when the engine is hot, cover it with a towel or something, as steam will come shooting out as soon as you release the pressure and you WILL get burned.

There is no drain cock on the '07 G6 GT. The easiest way to drain is from the water pump connection at the bottom passenger side of the radiator.

Only one drain plug on a 350 that's the oil drain. on forward part of lowest part of pan.

New answer- There are 2 water drain plugs on all V8 blocks, And you can find them

1 on each side of block, They our in the center of the block just above were the oil pan bolts on the block. They will be real short and takes a 1/2 inch socket to remove.

The coolant drain plug is located on the bottom left side of the radiator when looking from front of car. To access it you must remove the passenger side fog light and push the rubber cover out of the way. It only takes a 1/4 turn and the fluid drains out of the hole in bottom of front spoiler. If it has none, then the bottom radiator hose will have to be removed to drain the coolant.

If you are getting coolant inside the car your Heater core is leaking but if only smelling coolent. The hose on the exterior maybe the issue and it maybe that the sound blanket in that area where the ends of the heater core pass thru the firewall is asborbing coolent hence the smell. This should give you a starting point hope it helps.

Most antifreeze has a chemical that freezes at a very lower temp than plain water.

Your heater core is leaking. It needs repaired or replaced.

Most cars should be able to handle this themselves, older cars you use a small hand pump to suck air out from either the radiator cap or the coolant tank cap respectively.
