Why is your radiator fan not running?

You should check the fuse, and also do a computer diognostic. You could need a new radiator fan relay or wiring or diode wiring, or a new fan altogether.

Where is the radiator drain plug on a 2000 Chevy Blazer?

I have a 1999 Blazer and I was looking for the radiator drain plug as well yesterday. mine appears to be broken but it is located on the passenger side of the radiator near the bottom edgeon the engine side you might have a small black rubber hose coming of of the area of the drain I think this is supposed to make collection of the coolant easier. The drain is plastic and should look kind of like a wing nut. You also get the best access to it from inside the wheel well by moving out of your way a rubber skirt. Its still not easy there is not much room. I have read others have just removed the lower hose to drain the system. I know that makes a real mess.

1. Turn wheels all the way to the right.

2. Lift rubber flap inside passenger side (right side) wheel well to access white plastic drain cock

3. Place 1/4" drive rachet into end of drain cock and rotate 90 degrees (1/4 turn) counter clockwise

4. Remove rachet and pull white plastic drain cock outwards (towards firewall) to release coolant

Good Luck.

Where is the Radiator plug drain on a 2002 Monte Carlo?

Bottom drivers-side, engine-side corner of the radiator. A total pain to get to and there's part of the frame in the way, so coolant gets everywhere. (This is from experience gained within the last 30 minutes.) It's also plastic and can break if you're not careful. Some recommend disconnecting the lower radiator hose on the other side instead.

What if your car is overheating even after you already filled up the radiator and resovior and what does it mean when your defrost wont work when the car is hot does that sound like a blown head gaske?

It does not sound like a head gasket to me. I would check the oil if you see clear bubbles or it is foamy, in my experience that would be a blown head gasket. Is the floor on the passenger side wet=heater core is bad. Are you losing water? Where? Did you replace the thermostat? Hope this helped.

What causes a 95 Mazda millenia to start over heating when driving when fan is still turning on and has new radiator?

could be a bad water pump or the thermostat. i would check the thermostat first for two reasons one its cheaper some where between 8 and 15 dollars and also more likely to fail

Where is the radiator cap on a Saab 93?

The cap is on the coolant reservoir (driver's side behind the battery), not on the radiator itself as in many other vehicle makes. Mine is yellow. DO NOT remove cap if engine/coolant is hot as system is pressurized.

How can you fix a radiator leak?

There are radiator sealants available at many auto parts stores. I personally have never been able to get them to work though another good way to seal a leak if it is on the aluminum part of the radiator is to solder it with silver solder.

However, in general the only real solution is a new radiator.

if your in a bind and your desperate and just so happen to have eggs available keep in mind that you can throw a couple of them in your radiator when its still warm and the eggs will cook and when they do they will fill the cracks a little so you can limp it somewhere, no racing.. hope this helps... oh ya do this while its running for those of you with less common sense than us other people

Why after the replacement of the radiator the car still overheats in a 1997 Toyota Camry 2000 cc model what else could be wrong?

Overheating problems are caused by clogged radiator, non-functioning cooling fan, defective thermostat, defective water pump, defective or incorrect radiator cap, clogged water ports in engine, or collapsing radiator hose.

Why does my 2001 Honda Civic overheat but still produce heat when the radiator and all hoses have checked out fine is this a thermostat problem?

When this problem happens I would always replace the stat first.Make sure you bleed all the air out of the cooling system by allowing the car to run at idle for about 30 minutes with the rad cap off.

Where is the drain valve located on a 1996 park avenue radiator I have looked for it but dont see one?

Bottom corner of the radiator, facing the engine, typically opposite end of the radiator from the lower radiator hose.

How much does a water pump cost?

For a current price, I'd check any of the big parts houses' websites. Or give
them a call.

You found the drain plug but no coolant is coming out of the car?

Assuming there is coolant in the engine

the most likely cause is a build up of sediment behind the coolant drain

or in the coolant drain tap itself.

Where is the drain plug for the radiator on a 1998 Dodge Stratus?

The drain plug for the radiator on the first generation dodge stratus 4-cylinder (1995-2000) is located directly below the driver's side headlight. If you look through the vent a little below the headlight, you should see a black plastic wingnut. if you've located that, you've found the drain plug. You will probably need a pair of pliers (I used a pair of needle-nose), and you will definitely have to come from behind. With a little bit of work and frustration, you'll get it loose enough to drain the radiator fluid.

Hope this answer helps!

Note: The drain plug is probably in the same location for the 2.5L V-6 powered stratus, but I've never seen one so I can't be sure. If someone else knows this information, they can feel free to post it here.

You can access the drain cock from top or bottom, it is a blind area so you will have to feel for it. once you drain the radiator REMOVE THE DRAIN COCK BY OPENING IT FULLY AND PULLING IT OUT. Inspect the O-ring on it! if it is damaged replace it; if not you will have a leak. The valve is a 3/4 turn and any more and it will break off. WHEN it breaks off , PULL the Radiator! it's a pain but makes repair much easier, you will have to fabricate the plug, there are none left on this planet. put on a new O-ring and use a metal screw in the center hole coat with rtv/sealant and instal.
