How do you change the radio settings in Hyundai Elantra?
I talked to a guy in service and asked him the same question. The guy told me the settings can not be changed and added GM car radios have a menu that allows you to change the settings but not hyndia. I dont like the annoyance of the radio volume going up or down with the speed of my car. I am ready to have someone install a new radio.
Radio waves are electromagnetic waves. The radio waves have the longest wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum. A radio wave has a much longer wavelength than does visible light. We use radio waves extensively for communications.
How do you enter Honda radio code?
If it is a anti-theft radio, it will say so on the face plate. If it says "CODE" and won't play, you will need a 5-digit code to enter, unique to your car. Ways to get this:
1. Don't bother going to a Honda dealership. They will just try to get you to pay a "technician" to do something you can do yourself.
2. Look around the car for places that list a 5-digit code: some have found it on the inside of the glovebox, sometimes on the outside left, others under the hood, in the center console, in the ashtray, etc.
3. If you have all your original paperwork etc. that came with the car, look in the "Service History" booklet, not the owner's manual. This will either have the code, or at least the stereo's serial #. Or check for a plastic card labeled "Anti-Theft Radio Identification Card", has both serial # and 5-digit code #.
5. If it's a 1999 or older Honda, pull the radio out of the dash, look for the stereo serial number on bottom or back of stereo, then call Honda and they can look it up with that and your VIN #. Kind of a pain.
6. If it's a 2000 or newer, you can get the serial number by holding down the 1 and 6 preset buttons and turning the radio on, then call Honda, etc.
Once you have the code, enter the 5 digit code with the station presets. You have a limited # of attempts to insert the code, so if you've been trying or a service technician has been trying random codes, it will lock up and not accept any code. If the radio locks up, run the radio for 1 hour and it will allow you to try again, or disconnect the negative battery terminal for 60 seconds and that will clear the lock on the radio. Then you canenter the code.
Just press 1 and number 6 button at the same time and your code number will come up, then enter the that number, when it request the code. Honda claims it does put this on their literaturer for security purposes.
How do you remove radio from 1991 VW cabriolet?
You only need a pair of the special "radio removal tools" for that car. Most audio/ electronics shops will carry them. They look like a very thin piece of metal--about 1cm wide with a notch on the top and bottom as you hold it vertically. Each will fit into the small vertical slot on either side of your Preset buttons. Slide in, hear it click into place, and simply pull out. Then you unplug the power and signal cords from the back (2 plugs, very obvious). (If your radio still works, I'm looking for one, lmk!)
How do you replace a broken automatic antenna on a 94 Honda Accord with a fixed antenna?
That's easy, I did the same job to my 90 accord. First buy a fixed antenna, I went to radio shack, something like $12, instead of $200+ for the power antenna from Honda..
In the trunk, on the side of the antenna, pull back the trunk liner but be careful not to break an clips. once the trunk liner is out of the way, you'll see what tools you'll need, and what nuts to turn. The new antenna will have all of the parts you need, find one that fits the fender the best. It is a relatively easy job, self explanitory once you expose the antenna from under the trunk.
I completely took the old power antenna assembly out of mine. It's pretty self explanatory. Remove old antenna assembly, install new fixed antenna to quarter panel, plug in your antenna cable, replace trunk liner (carpet).

Is there a List of long songs DJ's played when had to go poop?
"MacArthur Park" sung by Richard Harris was the one I used in the late 60s and early 70s. Seems like it was almost 13 minutes if I'm not mistaken ... enough for the comics AND sports. But the real professionals, the guys who ultimately made it in the business, were the ones who were smart enough to take care of it before their air-shift.
Try turning the dimmer switch up. It's located under the headlight switch. Roll it towards the steering wheel to brighten the dash lights, and away to dim them. If this doesn't solve the problem then you have a blown fuse or a short somewhere. Let's hope it's the dimmer.

How do you preset radio stations on a 1988 buick lesabre?
If I remember correctly, those models may be old-style 'push-button' type radios? If so, do the following:
1) Select the 'station' or frequency you want to store as a pre-set by turning the right (tuning) knob.
2) Pull the 'push-button' mechanism out towards you all the way (one click, usually) -- it may take a little more effort than you think or you way need to lift up slightly on the push-button to get it to move, especially if it's been a couple of decades.
3) Push the 'push-button' back in all the way -- the linear mechanism on the dial should not move at this point.
4) Test your new pre-set by moving the dial to the left or right using the right-hand (tuning) knob then pushing the same 'push-button' in. The linear mechanism -- if working properly -- should now move the dial to your new location and change the frequency to your chosen 'station'.
On new (digital) radios in cars & trucks, of course, with the radio on you tune in the band and frequency (and in some cases a 'bank' of presets [such as 'FM1', 'FM2', 'XM1' / 'SAT1', or 'AM1']) that you want to store then push 'set' then push the preset number you've chosen OR push-and-hold the chosen pre-set button (generally the radio will beep and / or flash the display and / or audibly re-tune the station once the setting has been stored) with the 'push-and-hold' method it may take up to three seconds in some cases for the setting to 'take'.
If you're having issues, hold the button in a bit longer until you get some sort of reaction from your radio and / or watch the radio's display to see if there is a message or prompt, as in many cases the radio may ask you if you REALLY want to change an existing preset, or the radio may need more information such as the 'bank' [again, meaning something like 'FM1', 'FM2', 'XM1' / 'SAT1', or 'AM1']in which you want to store the preset. Hope that helps!
