There is NO adjustment screw ANY where on the caliper. When putting new pads in, the caliper piston must be pushed in so it fits over the new pads.
What if your car does not crank?
Could be a dead battery, broken starter, broken solonoid, or an electrical problem like a broken wire, or fuse.
How do you change a starter on Saturn 2000 S series?
You will need a jack, jackstand, 10mm socket, 13mm socket, 3 or 6 inch extension, and an 8mm crescent, or box end wrench.
1) Use the 8mm wrench to disconnect the battery.
2) Set the parking brake, then jack the car up using the jackstand to support it when in place.
3) Test for stability by clearing everything fragile from under the car, then pushing on the car door firmly several times to make sure it is stable.
The starter will be behind the engine attached to the transmission (side).
4) There will be two nuts holding the positive and negative terminals, remove these with the 10 and 13mm sockets respectively.
The negative should the be the 10mm, and will be on top, the center will be the positive with two leads (13mm). There will also be a third nut, but the wire is attached to the starter, so save yourself the time and do not remove it.
5) Using the 13mm, and the extension, reach behind the starter to find the bolt and remove it. Do the same for the front bolt.
This may be a slow process depending on several factors I do not feel like expounding on right now. Reaching the one in the back may prove difficult, while the front one should come off pretty easily. I suggest doing them back to front to avoid a starter-to-the-face result.
Reverse this list for installation, except for the car shaking part.

1996 Saturn what refrigerant should you use?
A 1996 Saturn vehicle will only use R134A refrigerant. I was a Saturn technician for years in Saturn Dealerships.
It is located under the dash just behind the glove box. Attached is a plug with a black and a purple wire. Unplug the blower motor and connect a fused test wire to where the purple wire connects and the positive terminal of the battery and a test wire from a good ground (there's one close by after removing the fuse compartment door where the radio ground wire is attached) to where the black wire connects to make sure the blower motor works as opposed to spending the money ($43.00) to replace a blower motor that works when the problem may actually be the switch ($29.00) (in the HVAC control panel) or the resistor ($39.00) (located under the dashboard and defroster duct - major pain to remove). I am going through this right now. The blower motor works on the bench test and I've changed the resistor. I am currently waiting on a switch to come in the mail. If this doesn't work there must be a short somewhere in the wiring. Check for loose and/or faulty connections. There's are youtube videos on removing/testing the blower motor. Another possible cause is the relay located in the fuse panel. I noticed that there are two identical relays next to each other (3602, I think). One for the high speed blower motor, the other for the fuel pump. If you swap these out and the results are the same, the relay is working. If the blower motor works, but the fuel pump quits, then the problem may be in the relay. A dealer can check the relay.
Where is the o2 sensor on1997 Saturn sc1?
The primary Oxygen sensor is screwed into the exhaust manifold at the point where all 4 chambers dump into the headpipe. It's the only component on the exhaust manifold that's connected to wiring.
There should be a second oxygen sensor after the catalytic converter, but they seldom fail.
What does the P0133 error code mean in a Saturn SL2?
P0133 Means the Bank1 Sensor 1 oxygen sensor is not communicating correctly with the computer, weather the sensor is failing, or there is an issue with the wire/connection from the main harness to the the sensor lead itself. usually replacing the oxygen sensor (this one is located just off the engine in the exhaust manifold) will resolve the issue.
