You can't, It is spring loaded and it adjust itself.

I went to Auto Zone......they ran me off a copy of the belt diagram.....any place like that....Pep Boys, Auto Zone....they will run you off a copy of the diagram

It will depend on the year, make, and model. Most vehicles fall between 100,000 km and 150,000 km for timing belt replacement.

your original belt length is 1735 mm, when you bypass a/c compressor new lenght will be 1400.

thereby you have to use any 6pk1400 or 7pk1400 belts

I am currently replacing the belt on my '97 Buick LeSabre. I have done much research on this. On some models, like mine, an emgine mount must be removed in order to relpace the belt. I don't know what configuration you have, but on mine the belt goes like this: Starting at the top left: Facing the pulley system from the passenger side of the engine compartment, It goes over top the alternator pulley, then diagonally down and to the right to the A/C then underneath to the crankshaft. It then comes up and around the right side of the water pump pulley, then to the left around the tensioner, then down around the underneath of the power steering pump pully and back up to the alternator.

Some type of polyester . I guess they fall apart real fast.

DEPENDING ON WHAT ENGINE IT IS, YOU MAY HAVE TO REMOVE THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND A/C COMPRESSOR.

the way I do it makes it EZ I take the top bolt out of the alternator and push it back then go around all your pulleys but the one in the middle that adjusts the tension. after you get it on all but that one push that one down and it should slide right on (mine does).just don't forget to put the bolt back in your alternator.

open the hood and look up, it will be right in front of you. If that does not work, you can buy a haynes or chiltons manual.

recommend changing both belts at the same time, you have to remove alternator belt to get to power steering belt, you will have to raise vehicle off of ground to remove rt. ft. wheel and than remove plastic inner fender around the bottom than from under hood loosen bolt in center of tensioner pulley for alternator belt and loosen adj. for pulley, remove belt, than from underneath car back by power steering unit you will find the other tensionor for power steering belt, you have to loosen bolts on tensionor and unscrew tensioner until you have enough slack to remove belt, don't remember bolt sizes, but they are metric, and it will be some tight areas to work in, reinstall in opposite manner, approx 1 hrs. worth of work

Are you saying What it is or Where is it. If what, its the diagram on the very front of the motor on top of the radiator cover on my 92 Lesabre that shows how to install the belt, I answered both questions, bye.

It's in your owners manual. I couldn't find find it on the radiator cover either. Chapter 6, I believe.

I think that you are asking what the belt routing is.?.? If you go to http://www.autozone.com you can look in the specifications area, and get all sorts of factory specs on almost any car. There is only one belt, the serpentine belt. All you will need is a ratchet, and an extension to place in the idler pulley.

First there is not a fan belt on the Dodge Neon. there are two belts one is for the power steering pump and the other is for the alternator and A/C.

First thing you need to do is to jack up the right front side, support the car on a jack stand and put on the e-brake. remove the right front tire then remove the inner fender well cover, it is held on by a couple of 10mm bolts and some push in tabs. after you have this removed you can the get to the alternator mounting bolts which mus be loosened to remove and replace the belts. the power steering belt can be removed by taking tension of the idler pulley. You can do this by using a pair of vice grips on top of the bracket and pull towards the front of the car. Replace the belts in the reverse order.A local mechanic shop should do this for you for about $50 to $75.00 including the belts. Its worth paying to have it done especially since you don't sound mechanically inclined.

Depends on which belt you're referring to. If it's the cam belt you need to check the position of the cam WRT the crank, and also check the cylinder head/valves for damage. Might see enough through the spark plug holes.

Any other belt just replace, check routing and tension and you're done.

it depends on the engine. on a 2.8l, the serpentine belt tensioner is below the power steering pump. pay careful attention to how the belt is routed, especially if there is no belt routing diagram under the hood (should be on the belt guard on top of the engine). release the tension from the tensioner, replace the belt, make sure you have it routed correctly, release the tensioner.

actually i already change 1 set of timing belt kit including water pump, cost about rm500.

If you are referring to the tensioner pulley's nut size, it is usually a metric 15mm nut.

The order is 1-2-3-4-5-6

98% of the time it is the tensioner or idler pulley. With engine off take WD 40 with that little plastic tube & spray the back side of either one, idler or tensioner pulley, not both. Take a drive & if you still hear the belt noise then it is the pulley you didn't spray. The tensioer pulley is replacable on most dakotas. When you remove the belt the tensioner should have strong spring action & move smoothly. If it does then just replace the pulley. Some places will try to sell you the whole tensioner.
