Are you serious? There is a button in many Toyotas with automatic transmissions called "ECT Power." There is a corresponding light on the dashboard that comes on when the feature is activated with the button. The button causes the engine to rev to higher rpm's before the vehicle shifts to the next gear. It achieves higher accelleration than you can get without it, while sacraficing something in the way of gas mileage and engine wear. Just push the button again to turn it off. It's probably on the front of your center console, depending on your model.

I have a 1987 that is doing the same thing.

The computer systems chip is fried. The car runs fine and most everything works.

But, lately, the suspension won't charge while driving and will fault until the car is restarted.

The odometer also does not display mileage, just the word "error" where the reading would be.

My sub-questions to this issue is;

Does this systems chip control the transmission shifting to overdrive?

And the suspension system?

And is it the same performance chip that I see advertised for $69.00?

You have to remove the transmission pan. Although it is only a screen and not so much a filter it should not ever have to be replaced unless the transmission has failed completely.

Your pulley system that controls the motion of the belt and the tighness will either consist of 4 or five pulleys, with the Alt, being of course at the top. the very bottom pulley that likey can only be reached from under th car, should be your compressor pulley, the one in the middle, between the alt. and the compressor, should be your water pump with its pulley. Using the process of elimination, you can find out that there will be a pulley left, this is the belt tensioner pulley. It has a bolt in the center of it, it may be either 5/8 or 15 mm. This can be fitted with a wrench, or if you are lucky, a ratchet, and then turned as if you were loosening it, you will see the alt , pull up and it will be tightened this way, you may also want to apply some belt dressing. if this doesn't help , the belt may be squealing for another reason, such as the water pumb may be getting ready to go out or the compressor pulley may be getting loose.

Most likely. Same thing happend to my ZX7R, if I have the starter button pushed in and hit the relay with the back of a screw driver I can get the bike to start.

Check your battery first.. If it is fine, you might need to replace your cold start injector timing switch. Fairly expensive, but should work.

Cut it open and count the rings

Simple: remove the small piston on the right side of the open glove box. Squeeze in the sides of the box to bypass the stops in the back of the box. It will fall forward. While you are at it open the long door behind the box and replace the "Cabin Air Filter' while you have it open.

You buy a new motor for the window or open it using the switch beside the driver door (if it is a relitively new car).

The housing needs to be removed. Check for scratches on the housing or engine. Make sure that all of the old gasket is removed before using gasket sealer to help seal the new gasket.

The sensor is left bank 1/1 is ft and 1/2 is the rear

NEW ANSWER: Bank 1 is the drivers side of the engine. Sensor 2 will be the second sensor in the exhaust pipe on that side of the engine. Start were the exhaust pipe bolts to the engine and work your way down the pipe until you see the second sensor and that will be the 1 you need.

You have to take the whole back panel off. start from the tailgate there are parts to unscrew and then most of it comes off by pulling it off. there are plastic push pins in the plastic interior that needs to be removed and the speakers are under that

Preferrably on a lift, look at the angled body sheet metal that would equate to the engine side of the passenger side floorboard. In a space almost impossible to access (behind (aft of) the right side exhaust downcomer pipe) is a boot/curved hose molding. THAT is your evaporator drain hose. Mine dissappeared and has been allowing condensate to enter the car (which smells terrible.....mold!). I just purchased (today) the hose molding from my local dealer ($11.50 + tax). Now I just have to figure out how to get my big "meat hooks" up into that small space????? You're going to want to eat high carb foods; pasta, oatmeal, breads, potatoes (white and sweet). PLENTY of fruits and vegetables with protein (grilled chicken works). You are going to be eating at least 2-3 times what you usually would because you need to fuel your body for running. Avoid "whites", going for whole wheat instead. Drinking at least 1 gallon of water per day insures your body is properly hydrated to cool your body while running. Almonds, peanuts, etc make great on the go snacks for marathon runners. remember, if you're going to be running for more than an hour (easy) or 45 minutes (intense), drink an electrolyte beverage such as Gatorade or Powerade.
