How many quarts automatic transmission fluid do you need for a 4 cylinder 2000 Toyota 4Runner?
In my 93 Toyota pickup with a v6 4x4 it takes 5 quarts to change the transmission fluid. That's by draining it with the plug in the pan. If it was completely dry, like it was new, I would think about 8 to 10 quarts.
What is largest tire size to fit on 1989 Toyota MR2?
It depends on a combination of rim and tire size. I would not go above a 17" myself.
also, if you have a premium sound amplifier it could cause a bit of trouble. I JUST figured out that my 1997 harness doesn't power on my aftermarket radio. I could hear feed back through the speakers but no power/sound. after rewiring to ignition radio turns on and NOW allthe speakers are working perfectly.
AnswerI willstate the obvious first and you probably did this but I have to ask. The connections on the speakers are still on the speakers right?I shall assume so and move ahead. I will assume the stereo wiring is not accessable yet so check these things first. Check to ensure the stereo is set to play sounds to all speakers. Then try both CD and radio during the next tests. Start the CD playing and then turn the fade and balance controls. Do you get a left to right change, can you fade out the front speakers when you turn the selector to play in the rear. Then the fronts come back up as you fade to the front. From the question you asked I would guess the answer is that the other speakers work OK during this test but the rear speakers don't. If the connections were ok on the speakers then the only other culpret is that the wires got pinched when the decking got replaced. You can follow the wires to find the pinched wire or you can run a new one. Before I did that I would gain access to the rear of the stero and find the rear speaker connectors. Then with a new wire laid over the seats and connected to the speaker I would ensure the speaker has sound. If so then replace the wire. If not then you could have a bad speaker or a blown amp that feeds the rear speakers. I have seen both happen. Just depends on the brand and model you have in the vehicle.
The simple answer to the question you asked,, You have a bad wire, a bad speaker or a blown stereo. Since both are bad I would bet someone disconnected something when working on the deck and you just need to find where they did it.
How do you turn off the Daytime Running Lights on a 2001 Toyota 4Runner?
On the 2001 4Runner the DRL relay is inside the vehicle, near the driver's right leg, just left of the center console. It is labeled "Running Lights." You can reach it without taking apart the dash at all; just reach behind it and unplug the connector, remove pin 2, tape it securely out of the way, and plug the connector back in.
I have a 2000 4Runner which has a grey box that is unlabled. I followed the instructions above and it worked. To assist any who attempt to remove PIN2 please note you will want to find a very small flathead screwdriver. I actually grinded a small screwdriver down very flat so I could push it into the backside of the PIN2 hole which relieved the catch inside the connector. Once I had the small screwdriver inserted into the backside of the PIN2 hole I pushed backwards from the front and PIN2 slipped out. This way if you decide to replace PIN2 all you have to do is snap it back in.

What is the curb weight of the 2004 Toyota 4Runner?
The curb weight of the 2004 Toyota 4Runner is 4035 lbs.
In a situation where there is heavy vibration, water, and overall movement its best to use two different metals. One reason is rust but as with your cam which is a hard metal it sits in a brass bushing in the engine, the two metals , one hard and one soft will wear less and therefore not loosen more than two hard metals, or two soft metals. In other words the steel lift blocks will wear a hole through the differential or thin out the leaf springs which are much more costly to replace than a piece of aluminum, its the weak link theory, leave a weak link so that it breaks before an expensive part does. heres another reason, its not safe to put lift blocks in the front of any truck.

Where is the 1986 Toyota 4runner 22re EFI check plug?
Look into the engine compartment. Look to the right side behind the air filter box. You should see 2 connectors that are either pushed into 2 rubber covers on the side wall. Or you will see them loose behind the box. One will have 2 wires and one will have three. The one with 2 wires is the T1 E1 connector the books talk about.
Where is the power steering pressure switch on a 1994 Toyota 4runner?
Exactly where the switch is located depends on the type of engine installed in the vehicle, as this also would determine exactly which type of power steering pump is used. There are two engines that were available in the "2nd Generation" 4Runner, which was made from mid-1989 through 1995. Technically, the "switch" is NOT electrical, it controls a vacuum signal that changes the engine idle to maintain RPMs if the steering wheel is turned at low engine speeds. These type of vacuum switches have been known to start leaking power steering fluid after some time, and can actually cause power steering fluid to be drawn into the engine intake manifold if they totally fail. This causes the engine to emit a LOT of white smoke when that happens, but will not permanently damage the engine itself. Replacement of the faulty switch will stop this, and the engine will clean itself out after some driving time.
The 6-cylinder engines have the switch mounted on the left side (looking at the pump from the pulley side) that has a slight upward tilt combined with a lean towards the rear of the engine compartment. The 4-cylinder engine has the switch mounted on the left rear side of the pump, with about a 45-degree upward tilt towards the rear of the engine compartment.
I have had a 1995 4Runner for some years now, purchased used. It has proven to be one of the best vehicles I have ever owned!

How do you remove the entire dashboard on a 1983 Toyota Pickup to find water leaks?
You don't have to go, to all that trouble, unless, as I guess, you have a leaking heater matrix, located deep within the dash and a common Toyota fault. If this is the case, patiently locate and remove 300,000 small screws, 100,000 clips and remove the dash piecemeal until you can gain access to said knackered matrix. If your memory is not what it was, a digital camera is useful to document the process should you (inevitably) become confused as to how it goes back together. If however you live in a warm climate, a very quick (temporary) fix is to disconnect the water feed pipes from the engine to the heater and loop one pipe back onto where the other leaves the engine ie so that the water stays in the engine and does not reach the matrix, thereby "fixing" the leak.

Toyota 4runner 1995 oil leaks from motor?
In most cases this problem is from excessive oil burnings as well as oil leakage from atop the valve cover's. It would be wise to replace the valve cover gaskets as well as check the oil drain plug for proper placement. However the use of synthetic oil in this engine leaks faster. the use of conventional oil in this case is preferred.
Was the 22re motor featured in anything else besides the Toyota pickup?

This procedure is included in your owners manual.
Make sure that all your tires (INCLUDING THE SPARE) are inflated to the proper pressure. Then - on the very bottom lip of the dashboard - on the drivers side - just to the left of the steering column you will see a small black button - (you will have to look under the dash - the button is NOT visible from the drivers seat) - with the ignition in the 'on' position depress this button and hold for 5 seconds. This will re-set the monitoring system and extinguish the light.

Radio clock accessory 15amp fuse blows in 1997 4 runner?

SOUNDS LIKE THE STARTER CONTACTS HAVE WORN DOWN. THEY ARE INEXPENSIVE TO REPLACE. THE PROBLEM WILL GET WORSE UNTIL THE STARTER CANNOT MAKE CONTACT AT ALL AND WON'T START.
AnswerI have a 97 Intrepid 3.5 that had the same sympoms. A faulty power cable that connects the battery to the "under the hood" fuse box was corroded. It looked as though it was manufactured to give out. The cable widened in diameter for a couple of inches as it intered the fuse box. There is a small hole that let water in that eventually caused the malfunction. at that the that way so Dodge could get a few extra dollars to replace it for 180 dollars. I said hell with that. They found it and I just spliced into it, pulled it apart (because its a male/female connection underneath the rubber sheilding), wire brushed the corrosion away, and electrical taped it back together. I was out 5 minutes and a 10 stretch of electrical tape. To hell with that 180 dollars they wanted.
