Where is the PCV valve on a 1996-1999 Sable 3.0 Duratec 24v DOHC?
The PCV valve is on the right side of the engine compartment, if you're facing the front of the vehicle, just under the air intake hose. Its not directly on the engine but rather inline with the oil separator tube/hose.
A) To access this area and change the PCV valve just follow these directions. They aren't as complicated as they seem... # using a 5/16" socket, loosen and remove the positive side cable of the battery.
# using a 5/16" socket or nut driver, loosen the worm drive clamp that holds the breather hose onto the manifold.
# next unsnap the clamps that hold the breather hose to the air filter housing.
# noting their positions disconnect the 3 airlines that connect to the breather hose.
# disconnect the 2 electrical connections from the air intake hose. The front one is the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and the back one is the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor, remove the air intake hose and set aside.
# now using a 5/16" socket remove the 2 screws holding the throttle cable cover.
# remove the 2 screws holding the throttle cable bracket. You now have the best access to the PCV valve. B) Now to replace the PCV valve pull the u shaped hose off the elbow. I recommend purchasing this molded new hose for about dollars from your Ford dealer. They tend to clog or collapse after several years. Next simply pull the PCV valve out of the oil separator hose and insert the new one. The whole process can be done in 15 to 30 minutes and save you a lot. C) Now just reinstall everything in reverse. The PCV valve is located on the drivers side, underneath the silver intake manifold. Follow the black accordion tube from the air cleaner to the throttle body valve. Place your hand on the bottom of the throttle body and you will find the PCV attached to two short rubber hoses. Hand access is limited, so you have to feel for the PCV and blindly remove the hoses from the PCV. Be patient, and allow time to finesse the new PCV onto both hoses. While you're at it, be sure to check the condition of the connecting hoses. I found one of mine to have totally collapsed on my 1998 DOHC v6. there is a pcv valve. it is located under the "snorkel" of the upper intake manifold. it is accessed by removing the vacuum line from the front valve cover at the rubber connector between the air filter housing and throttle body(swing out of the way, to the left is best). next remove the two screws that hold the throttle linkage cover in place and remove the cover. third remove the throttle return spring. you can now reach the pcv valve for removal and replacement. It's at the right rear corner (facing the engine), tightly underneath the throttle body. It is in-line in 1/2 inch or so diameter hoses - look for where the one of these hoses takes a 90 degree turn. 97 Merc sable, 12, valve, 3.0 liter, vulcan engine: located on top of intake manifold box, vertical position facing down. manafold box is on passsenger side, near firewall. horizontal hose extends to the right.

How do you remove the left side door panel on a 1992 Toyota pickup?
After recently completely changing out a 1992 cab to a 1995 cab, there insn't anything i don't know about this year of truck (89-95).
this is going to be really easy there is only three things to remove from the front of the panel and the hardest is going to be the release handle. lets start with the easiest!
First, and i am sure you probably tried to get this one already, remove the pull handle, two Phillips screws. then the window roll down handle, this ones kinda tricky but shouldn't be too hard if you have a small standard screwdriver, push in on the panel and look behind the lip of the handle where it rubs on the panel, you might need some one to hold a flashlight, you will see a metal wire, if you don't, then turn the handle, what you are actually looking for is a "C" clip, this is a big clip, and you will need the screwdriver to push one side of the clip off and perhaps grab it with a pair of needlenose as it peeks out the other side. once you have that clip off, or if you can't find a clip at all, (but make sure there is no clip because some times previous owners may have lost these) and then pull out straight out, not from the knob of the handle but from where the handle goes through the panel.
then the harder one, the door release handle, you will want to take out the screw from the center of the handle, then push the entire handle assembly forward, twords the hinge, it will only move about a quarter of an inch, this is because it has hooks that it holds on the the door core with, then pull out a little bit twords you, you will notice a bar connected to it, and a plastic clip that is white if i remember right, you will need to remove this clip from this bar before this handle will come off, hold everything square to each other here because you may bend or break something, to get this clip of you will need to press a little bit on each side of it at a time, it is 15 years old, and you don't want it to break, because it holds that bar in there and you don't want to have to roll down the window to open your door with the outside handle, once you have this clip undone, then then bar will come up and the handle is freed, leave the bar, from here the panel has several holders or clips that keep it on the door, just use a larger standard screwdriver, and start from the bottom between the door and the panel pry you will hear a pop, that's ok they are reusable, then move to the next clip, then the next all the way around, there is only one odd ball clip on the top above the release handle that's metal but it is reusable but some times it will stay with the door so make sure you put it with the panel before putting it back on. and there you go, any more questions my e-mail is kc0tdw@kc0tmo.com
Why is water pouring out of a hole on the water pump on a 1994 12 ton V6?
The most probable cause is the failure of the seal around the shaft of the pump that isolates the impeller, which is on the coolant side of the pump, from the pulley side (the "outside") of the pump. When this seal fails, coolant can "get past" the seal and leave the coolant system to escape. The hole is in the bottom of the outer housing, and it's put there so water can drain out if it is leaking past the seal. This (the leaking water) is a sign to anyone inspecting the assembly that the pump is leaking, and in almost every case, it's because the seal has failed. Which means you will have to replace the pump.
What causes the oil filter to leak oil when truck is started?
The filter may be lose if this is not the case the threads around the filter may be "stripped". Try changing the filter if this does not work I would take your vehichle to a certified mechanic.
Where is the PCV valve on a 2002 ford f-150 located?
It Should Be Located In The Back Of The Passenger Side Valve Cover. It Is Kinda Hard To Get To. But You Should Find It There. Good Luck
The Chevy Gen I motor spanned from 1955 to 1995 with almost no changes to the bottom end or the block it self. So basically, if it's a pre-95' motor, a 350 is a 350 is a 350... almost any Chevy will take it. If you're going carburated you should be fine, but if you're are going FI, which i recommend, be prepared to deal with the ecu swap to. That's gonna be the most crucial part of the swap. But anything is possible, aside from a smart car, I don't think there's a car out there that hasn't had a 350 swap done. Be creative and have fun. Best of luck to ya...
