Press and hold the service wrench button with the ignition off. While still holding the button, turn your ignition to "on" (but don't start the car). Press the Min clock button and then release the wrench button.

I found these steps work well:

1. Key in slot (no Accessory activated)

2. Hold "0.0"

3. Push key in to activate Accessories

4. Push "wrench" icon button

5. Release "0.0"

6. Start vehicle

Yes you can, I have installed a Turbo on my VW Polo Classic 1.6 1999 Model. You will just have to change your cooling system, coz the Car will over heat quikly, and you will either blow your Turbo or Head Gasget, attemting this without any experience is a recipe for desaster, Rather just Google Turbo Boy's, and Speak to a Pro.

Hi I dont really understand the 1951 plate but I have a Astra 1998 station wagon 2.0l that may have the same prob.There is a yellow light which looks like an engine with a z in the middle.This is between the oil and batt warning light.The car still runs fine but a bit worried when this comes on as I dont Know what it means.

Siphon out as much as possible and refill with deisel, keep topping up every time you use a gallon or so, I've done this twice and no damage to engine.

To change the headlight bulb on a 2003 VW Polo you must first remove the rubber cover from the back of the bulb. Pull off the connector and loosen the 2 torque screws to allow the black plastic locking to turn. Turn the locking ring counter-clockwise to remove and replace the bulb.

hi. Remove the glove box under the steering wheel by pressing the clips at the left and right hand side of the open glove box. The fuse box is behind this.

Just read in a forum that they're 6.5" .

Not sure as i thought they wer actually around 5", but i guess 6.5" would fit. Look around the polo forums.

There are two buttons either side of the clock on the odometer. The buttons look like the one u use to reset mileage

You have to take out the screws in the number order 1-4 the you can lift it out and the spark plugs are below.

1 Jack up the car and place on stands. 2 Remove wheel 3 Take off the Master Cylinder cover. 4 With a flashlight look behind the rotor. Here you will find two bolt heads. These are what hold the Caliper to the Hub assembly. 5 Extract those same bolts.(BE CAREFUL NOT TO LET THE CALIPER HANG BY THE BRAKE LINE) 6 Slide off the Caliper. 7 Remove the outer pad. 8 Using a 6 inch C clamp run it into the inner pad and tighten gently until flush with the caliper. 9 Take out the inner pad. 10 Put in new inner pad. 11 Insert new outer pad. 12 Buff the rotor with some Emery cloth. 13 Reverse steps 6-1 14 Be careful at all times. When setting the new pads. 15 Drive the car around the block 10mph brake to stop , 20mph brake to stop , 30mph brake to stop 40mph brake to stop. Your done.

I have just removed a pedal box with the assistance of another 50+ year-old Mechanic. It was character building to say the least! Some of the "advice" we got on the net was misleading . The steering column on this vehicle was the adjustable type and does not have to be removed. The easiest way round the pedal clip problem was solved by using a small crow (wrecker) bar and pinging the clip out of the pedal, then crushing the clip into submission and remove it from the push rod. The clip is well built (the only part in the whole assy. that is!). With the pedal removed it takes a little bit of wriggling to get the box out. The welding job is straight forward and will probably out live the car. I do not know if the clip is available from non-VAG sources.
