Can you show me a diagram of the location of the brake fluid on a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan?
The brake fluid is located in the Master Cylinder mounted under the hood, drivers side, in front of the booster, on the firewall. You will see a reservoir containing the fluid. Of course there is fluid in all the brake lines, wheel cylinders, & calibers.
This is just a secondary brake line in case something would happen to your primary line. Instead of bleeding the brakes with the bleeder valve, chock the wheels and slightly unscrew the fitting on the brake itself while a friend gently pumps the air out of the brakes. Make sure between each brake you top off your brake fluid.
the bleeder is on the passenger side of the truck. use this to bleed both of the wheel cylinders. i have had to find out the hard way on my 1984 Mazda b-2000
Where do you put the brake fluid on a 1999 ford escort wagon?
Master cylinder reservoir is located on the firewall driver's side
How do you bleed brake fluid in a Ford Focus?
Use a helper to pump the Ford Focus brake pedal several times. While holding the pedal down, open a wheel bleeder valve and let air and fluid out. When the pedal reaches the floor, close the valve and pump the pedal again. After several times, the air will be out of that area, move to another wheel and repeat the process.
What happens if i put Power steering fluid in the oil?
Nothing Drain the oil and change the filter. You more than likely did no damage. PS fluid is a lube but not heavy enough to use as engine oil.
How do you check the brake fluid level on an 2002 Honda accord?
Look at the master cylinder driver's side next to the firewall. It has a see though reservoir. Look on the side and you will see a full and add mark.
What will happen if you change front disk brakes and don't bleed them but pump them?
If you don't bleed the brakes after having disconnected a brake line, you'll have air trapped in the system. Air is compressible(acts like a spring), brake fluid isn't. With air in the system, it's like having a fluffy pillow between your foot and the brake lever. Braking will be weak and kinda delayed.
lithium grease or bearing grease
axle lube I had a similar problem with both sides of the rear axle on my '97. The fluid coated both parking brake pads. There is a small vent tube that comes out of the top of the differential. Wasps had filled the top end with mud and every time the axle heated up oil was pushed out of the seals. Disconnect the tube from the differential, insert an air compressor nozzle and blow out the tube. I had to replace both parking brakes and the seals.
How do you add brake fluid on forklift?
Locate the brake fluid reservoir, and pour brake fluid in until it's at the appropriate level.
What is the pink fluid leaking under your suburban?
trans fluid,power steering fluid,dex-cool antifreeze
You should immediately check your brake fluids, then each wheel for signs of fluid leaks ( they typically make greasy black runs on the inside of the tire.) If you can't find anything wrong, take it to a shop. This may be serious.
What type of Brake fluid do hydraulic brakes use?

You may have a bad master cylinder, or proportioning valve,
Does the vehicle have Antilock Brakes (ABS) ? Please let me know.

How do you add brake fluid to your 19292 Honda Accord?
Looking at the engine bay from the front of the car, look in top right corner (driver's side). If it's got an automatic transmission, there will be a single white reservoir, open it, and top it off with DOT 3 brake fluid. If it's got a manual transmission, there will be 2 reserviors, one for the brakes, and one for the clutch. The one for the brakes will be the larger of the two, and most likely be the one on the left. If this is the case, you may as well top both of the off with DOT 3 brake fluid, as the hydraulics for both systems use the same fluid.
What type of brake fluid for a 95 Ford Ranger?
For a 1995 Ford Ranger ( in North America )
( DOT 3 brake fluid meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A )
Why does your car have to have brake fluid?
A car has to have brake fluid to allow for the effective operation of the brakes to stop the car. When we apply pressure to the brake pedal, brake fluid, which is largely incompressible, will transfer that pressure to the pistons that operate the in the calipers or the pistons that operate the brake shoes. Further, the fluid must be of the correct type for the system in which it is used. The continued safe operation of the brakes may be compromised by the wrong fluid.
