How do you get rid of Tapeworm egg sacks in carpet?

A thorough vacuuming will do it - if you want to be absolutely sure, a shampooing with a bit of Lysol added to the solution tank, perhaps. I got that information from a vet, as I had to consider the same problem myself at one time.

Where is the fuel filter and how do you replace it on a 1999 Buick Lesabre?

It is at the right rear tire on the rail or frame. WE know this because ours started leaking today and we had to find it. Hope this helps.

Do you need a vacuum canister?

Usually, it is not essential in the function of the engine. It serves more of an environmental protection purpose and has as slight use in improving fuel mileage. Without the canister, the fuel system can vent some fuel vapors directly to atmosphere (not very enviro-friendly and wasting fuel) instead of storing them for reintroduction into the fuel system.

Do you want to play outside with me?

What is a belt tension pulley?

Most cars now have a serpentine belt that drive the alternator, water pump, power steering unit, etc. The belt tension pulley is a spring loaded pulley that keeps the proper tension on all these units. It can be moved to release the tension in order to remove the belt.

What do you do when your 1989 Buick LeSabre 3800 either idles too fast or too slow and sometimes wont start or stalls?

There could be many reasons including the spark plugs may be worn or not gapped properly if the car does not idle right, faulty spark plug wires, vacuum leaks, incorrect ignition timing, incorrect compression ratio. The culprit could also be the EGR valve or plugged PCV valve, fuel pump not delivering fuel properly, timing chain worn. I would suggest get the car check out.

How do you repair a passenger window that will not roll up on a 1988 Buick LeSabre?

Hey Steve= the most common problem is for a roller in the linkage to break. It is a big job and someone who knowa how, to repair it. Call your local auto trim shop. GoodluckJoe

I had a rear window that did this. I removed the window motor. Now it's a manual window; I have to use my hands to pull it down and lift it up. I don't have to worry about locking my keys in my car although it will set off the car alarm if you roll it down with the car locked; you have to put your key in the ignition to stop the alarm. Of well.

What do you do if the fan on a 1995 Buick LeSabre won't turn off?

Replace the relay/ When the AC Module goes bad , it goes 2 ground & makes the circuit for the fan-causing the fan 2 run ALL the time-REGUARDLESS of the key in the switch or not-& is usally mounted on the evaporator case inside the car on the Passenger side-just under the lower dash panel. Replace the fan control module. Sold a lot of them as a parts salesman at a buick dealership, relays and the fan module ar located on the passenger side of the blower motor under the hood, been there done that!

How to recharge air conditioning on a 1991 Buick Lesabre?

You will need to convert the A/C system to either R134A or an R12A type refrigerant, since the original R12 is no longer legal for sale.

To accomplish this, you will need first to evacuate the whole system, and leak test the system before adding new refrigerant. Leaks will need to be repaired. These tasks require professional equipment, and cannot be done at home. You will need to replace the accumulator (large silver cylinder with 3 fittings on it at passenger side firewall- about a $50 part). R12A charging kits can be obtained for home use at an auto parts retailer- it's a fiddly job because the gas pressures for R12A are different than for R12 and it's easy to undercharge the system. R12A Duracool has a website that gives good information, but R12A is not legal everywhere, so you may be forced to use only R134 which can only be handled by tech shops.

Probably best to get a tech shop to do the job- estimated cost if no parts like compressors etc. are bad is around $300. If you need compressor, condensor, or other parts, they are available at rockauto.com. and can add considerably to the cost. Be patient afterward- the new refrigerants don't work at the same pressures as the old R12 and the system will probably need some further attention to get it working right.

What are some reasons your car accelerates slowly?

Your car can be accelerating slowly because it is a piece and is about to break. It may need something fixed on it.

What does it mean with the volt light comes on?

Your alternator has either stopped working or is putting out less than 14 volts, therefore not enough charge is getting to your battery.

Battery location 2000 lasabre?

It's under the rear seat. Simply remove the rear seat by sticking your hands in the "biteline" (where the rear seat and seatback meet), and pull the seat up and out. The battery is tied down there with a battery brace. When replacing the rear seat, be sure that the two steel tabs on the front/bottom of the seat frame are in place before pushing the seat biteline back into place.

Do you have to have a dealer put in a crankshaft position sensor?

I had to have the crankshaft sensor replaced on my 92 PA. I was told that a special gear pulley was required to do this that only a Buick dealer was likely to have. My local repair shop couldn't do it or even the nearby Cadillac dealer couldn't do it. May want to check before bringing it elsewhere.

Why would your '92 Buick LeSabre suddenly stop after driving it for a while but the lights and radio remain on?

Overheating Computer ChipI had a 1991 Buick Regal that did the same thing. The control chip (computer) was overheating and when it became too hot, the car would just stop.

More than likely the alternator went. Once an alternator dies, the car has to run off the battery to power everything in the cab, as well as the spark plugs and other things for the engine compartment. When the battery gets too low to run the engine any more, obviously the engine would stop running, however the battery isn't completely dead, so it might still power the lights, radio, windows, etc.the topstall or no start problems for buick fuel pump fails when hot next the electronic spark conrpl module bad circuit fails when hot then may restart when cooled off next cam or cranshaft position sensor failure these parts had very high failure rate that buick replaced them out of warantee for some time. also fuel pump wiring in fuel tank have a electrical connector problem that causes power connector to melt

How do you replace the front brake pads on a 1998 buick lesabre?

loosen the lug nuts Jack up one side of the car, "e brake should not be on" remove tire. On the back of the caliper "caliper is what hugs the rotor" there should be 2 bolts loosen those two bolts and pop out the old pads, replace them with new ones. Make sure that the pad with the black clip is on the inside .. "back of the caliper". tighten the caliper bolts... CRITICAL STEP YOU MUST BLEED THE BRAKES!!!! There is a small bolt on the b ack of the caliper, looke like a little nipple "usually a size 8mm or 10 mm" loosen the bolt, have some one pump the brake, They should pump the break until you have a long steady spray. when you have the long steady spray tell them to hold down the brake. tighten the bolt
