The Sensor for the fans is located on the upper right side of the radiator, ( the Passenger side).

iF THE ENGINE IS A 4.3L AND 3.8L BUICK ENGINE WILL BE ON THE LEFT FRONT OF THE DRIVERS SIDE , ALL BUICKS PUT THERE DIST CAP AND ROTR ON THE LEFT FRONT. ANOTHER HINT YOU CAN USE 4.3 HAND GASKETS IN A 3.8 AND CAN INPROVE THE GAS MILEAGE BY RESETTING THE DWELL AND THE TIMING. GNX MAN

My 1999 Regal had the same problem. The problem is a switch in the gear shift mechanism in the console. It intermitantly is working. The dealer wanted to replace the complete shift mechanism in the console for $381. That was to expensive for me so I took the console apart to get to the shifter and disconected the wiring plug on the front of it and using a tester determined which wire was hot and which one went to the steering column to release the key. I then spliced in a small rocker switch to bypass the one in the shifter and mounted it in the console next to the traction control button. Simply flip the switch to on before you turn the car off, remove the key and then flip the switch back to off. The cost was about $7 plus sweat.

I believe that beep is to let you know you've had your turn signal on for an extended amount of time. Hopefully this is of some help.

I believe the unit inside the air cleaner assembly is the ecm. Electronic control module/ car's computer.

I don't know if you're saying you changed the key system to a starter system or the system wouldn't start but just clicks.

If its the latter, you may want to check for coolant in your cylinders by removing your spark plugs and spinning the flywheel. If any coolant comes out of the cylinders, then you don't have a starter system problem. The plenum on your Buick, (the plastic dome above the intake manifold/ the black rounded dome on top of the engine) may have wore a hole in itself due to friction and has pumped coolant into your intake manifold until it spills into your cylinders and makes them too full of coolant to spin through with the starter.

Again, this may be completely not the issue if you know for certain you haven't lost any coolant recently or know its a wiring problem. But this thing had me puzzled for two weeks until I took the plenum off so I figured I'd throw it out there.

There are no lights. their just reflectors.

on the left side of the steering column is a knob that controls the lights. Pull it of push it until the beeping stops

There should be 2 bolts holding the old one on. Remove them and replace it with a new on from a parts store.

By frontera do you mean Suzuki Fortera? This is a product of Daewoo Division of General Motors Corporation. It's a real oddball here, less common than most Ferrari's in my (ghetto) neighborhood, but I'd expect it's near the flywheel somewhere. Expect to see a Denso starter with 3 mounting bolts.

Hey Roger===If you stated the kind of car and engine you had it would be easier. Just guessing, it is either the cable to the throtle body or carb hanging or the idle solonoid needing cleaning. GoodluckJoe

A sizable vacuum leak could also do that.

If it's carbureted - then it should be on the passenger side (ummm or Drivers Side lol) near the front of the engine block and have the fuel lines going to and from it. Fairly easy replacement.

If it's fuel injected - it's in the Gas Tank. Sorry about that :-( since if it's bad you have to drop the gas tank to replace it. Believe me it ain't fun. So, if you are mechanically inclined and have tools (including a floor jack to jack the tank down and back up) and don't mind spending the better part of a day doing it (you need to have the gas tank almost empty (at least that makes it easier) go for it. Otherwise it's dealer or local garage time.

Don't get me wrong, I have replace many in tank fuel pumps, it's just that it's a real pain to do in your garage or driveway. Also, while your in there (if you DIY), then make sure the wiring is good and replace the "sock" filter and replace the in-line fuel filter which is mounted on the drivers side frame rail. It would really suck if you put in a new pump just to find out that it was the wiring :-(

Yes. The warmer a tire gets, the more air pressure increases. You should not notice a increase of more than 3-5 psi ( or a decrease if it is cold out ).

You have to get a special dash kit, due to the "cube" style OEM stereo. whether you have the blank pocket above the ash-tray, or there is an EQ, the new stereo will go into that pocket. You can also purchase a piece to replace the cube portion, or you can leave the accessory attached and use it for a clock. You will also need; an antenna adapter, extra wire, as the existing has to be extended, a wiring harness, a dash kit, which you will probably have to order from crutchfields.com, and a whole lot of patience.

Yes. It happened to me and even in less than a full day it did kill the battery. The problem is the ingnition switch lock out. You can try to squirt a little oil into the key. I havs also put the car in gear and back inti park, or just wait a few minutes and rotat the key forward and back (not to start). It usually comes out. be carefull the constant turning of the ket to the start position will burn out a fuel pump.
