Where is the flasher fuse on a 1994 sunbird?
below the steering column on the left almost to the floor
There're two in a 1994 Pontiac sunbird. The one explained above is the HAZARD flasher; the other flasher, for your signal lights, is on the right side of your steering wheel column, higher up, if it hasn't been changed before, then it could be jammed up there. It's hiding pretty good, but I promise you...look hard, it's there. If it hasn't been changed before, it should have two blue lines across it.
Don't know if this is correct but i heard that if we disconnect the battery terminals for at least one hour and then reconnect if will force the computer to reset and clear up the problem. I will try this today and let you know more manyana. Heard this from a ford owner works for him. Go to your local Auto part store have them to reset system for free.
Where is the PCV valve on a 2004 Cadillac DeVille?
I have a 2001 Deville. The PCV Value is under the cover ( this is the one with the cadillac emblem on it ) that is across the top of the engine. It is located at the back left of the engine. You must remove the two plastic nuts that are at the front of the panel...left and right center front. Then up and forward. There is a small black metal piece at the center back of the silver panel top ( this is the one with the cadillac emblem on it ) that hold it at the back center. Hope this is helpful. Vw passat electric trunk won't open even with the key?
If the actuator cable breaks then the key and the interior release both don't work. It needs to be replaced. If your trunk has a manual release inside then you can pull the back seats down and reach in to release it. Then undo one screw in the interior handle and pop out the plastic covering on the trunk. Then you will be able to see the cables. Good luck. Check out youtube.
You might have 2 problems.
1) The radios are VIN specific and so to get it unlocked you have to go to the dealer and have them program your VIN in the replacement radio, could be $10 to $75 depending on your dealer.
2) If you are trying to put a CD/Cass. in where there was just a plain cassette, it won't work anyway, the cassette player is internally amped, the CD/Cass. has an external amp, so if that is your situation, don't waste your money getting it unlocked.

What causes the fuel data center on a 1992 Cadillac DeVille to go crazy?
In most cases it is the BCM, located directly behind the glove box, mounted up high and horizontal. It is metal and looks just like many other GM car computers of the early 80's to mid 90's. In all my experience working on these cars, only once have I seen the problem caused by the Fuel Data panel. The BCM for the 1992 is same as 91-93. The 89 has a different service number.
== == == == I am going through the same problem with a 1989 Deville. I replaced the Fuel Data Center and the Sending unit in the tank and the tank itself. Now I am going to replace the BCM ( body control module) Some times the data center is perfectly normal next time There is just a "d" displayed. Will update you on my next step!
Where is the oil filter located on a Cadillac CTS?
The Location of the oil filter depends on which engine you have in your CTS. the 3.2 engine the oil filter is located on the bottom of the engine to the left of the oil pan. It is not a screw on type filter it is a canister filter. You will have to unscrew the lid to gain access to the oil filter. On the 3.6 Engine the oil filter is also a canister filter but it is located on the top side of the engine. On the drivers side around the center of the engine cover. It will take a 15/16 socket to remove the lid.
Why does the transmission hard shift between 2nd and 3rd gear on a '99 Isuzu Rodeo '98-'04?
I have 2 1998 rodeos and the one with the most milage starts that clunk shifting when the temperature starts getting hot in the summer. In the winter it is not a problem. The other car did this for the first time last week when it was hot and the car sat at the airport for 10 days. It seems to be a solenoid plunger sticking thing. I have not been able to find an answer yet either but I am working at it........ I am having the exact same problem and found this post on another website. Check out the link for a nice set of instructions on how to fix it yourself complete with pictures. Hope it helps. http://isuzufaq.ibctech.ca/range.pdf "I've had a problem with hard shifting on-and-off for over a year. It usually happens only in the morning, and is always after the dash light fails to indicate that the truck is in drive. I had the codes read at a dealer last June, and got back a P0705 code. Is this the range sensor malfunction? If so, any recommendations on what needs to be done and where to get it looked at? I had the same problem with my 99 Passport. I was able to remove my range sensor, take it apart and clean the contacts inside. I remember it was quite dirty and greasy inside. I think they used too much dielectric grease in it, but the contacts were definitely dirty so I cleaned them reassembled it and I have never had the problem come back. The unit is located on the side of the transmission (drivers side) just forward of center. It's been well over a year since I fixed it, but if I remember right to remove it there was a small metal shield that pops off. Then I had to remove 2 bolts and 1 nut that holds the shifter arm and unplug the wire harness (the wire harness was a little difficult to unplug due to the tight space) and the unit will just slide right out. You will need a torx driver to take apart the unit. I wiped most of the grease out of mine; I left some of the grease there so things will slide properly and to keep moisture out. Depending on how dirty the contacts are you can clean them with a pencil eraser or a very, very fine sand paper. Don't spend the 90+ dollars for a new one this is a fairly easy fix, once you see the inside you won't think it's worth the price tag! It should take you about 45-60 min to repair."
How do you replace a heater core for a 1990 Cadillac DeVille?
Remove glove box to get better access. It takes a few minutes to unhook the vent tubes and heater mechanisms, but you will finally get to the point of opening the black plastic housing. There you will see the core. Remove the one bracket that is still holding the core and the two hoses from the engine side of the firewall. A little manuevering and the core should come free. I replaced mine three times before realizing the thermostat was causing overpressure and apparently the heater core gives up first.
You have two choice's, Brakes or Bearings both require immediate attention. So get it to a qualified person ASAP. Good Luck and Remember.

How do you replace the headlight bulb on a 2001 Cadillac deville?
There are 3 bolts that hold the headlight casing on. Two on top and one at the bottom, down near the bumper. Once those are removed, you need to GENTLY pry the headlamp from behind near the fender. There are two covers for turn signals and headlamps. The INSIDE cover is for the headlights. The top one is for normal lights and the bottom for high beams. After cover is off, gently twist the bulb and pull out.
This answer assumes that you know how to use timing light.
1. With the engine off and cold, clean off the crankshaft damper pulley where the timing notch is. Then clean off the timing scale so you can read the numbers. (It is usually easiest to remove the plastic fender liner from the right front wheel well so you can reach this area)
2. With the engine at operating temperature (top hose too hot to hold on to), turn off the A/C and then the engine. Attach a timing light to the # 1 plug wire (it's the one in front closest to the fan belt).
3 Loosen the hold down nut at the base of the distributor, enough so it will rotate. The nut is 15mm but very hard to get to, I use a special tool designed just for this purpose. I f you cannot get this tool you will have to remove the air cleaner and maybe other parts to get to it with whatever you have.
4. Under the center of the dash inside the car there is a plug (ALDL) that you must jumper (connect a wire) from pin A to B, leave this in place while you do the next step.
5. Start the engine and set parking brake.
6. Aim the timing light at the timing marks on the pulley you cleaned off earlier and rotate the distributor until the mark lines up with the 10° mark (6° if you are using regular gas). Tighten the distributor hold down nut and recheck the timing (very important will change when tightening).
7. Remove jumper wire from ALDL plug, put back everything you had to remove and you are done!
