How do you repair a horn on that is not working on your 2000Kia Sephia?
Could be the clockspring, particularly if the airbag light comes on. First, find the actual noisemaker under the hood and make sure it makes noise. Then maybe replace the horn relay or fuse. If those are OK, you probably have a problem in the steering wheel.
Could be a bad horn, bad relay or possible a bad horn ground. Try touching a wire straight from the battery (+) to the horn. If it sounds bad you need a new horn but if OK it's probably a dirty ground or bad relay. Try tightening the horn itself down a little to insure it's getting a good ground. Still sounds bad its probably the relay. Replace it. If none of this helps... a bad steering wheel switch maybe? Hope this helps.
What to check if the horn doesn't work in my 2007 Chrysler minivan?
Start by checking the fuse panel for a blown horn fuse in the fusebox. If it is good, move on to the horn button and relay. The easy way to see if these are working properly, turn the key to "on." There is a horn relay, probably in the fuse box. Push the horn button and listen to the relay for a "clicking" sound. If there is a clicking sound when you push the button, these two should be ok. This should narrow the problem down to the horn itself. I have owned two dodge vehicles and have had to replace a horn on each of them and this was how I determined that it was the horn and not other circuitry.
Why does the horn sound on a ford galaxy when I turn the steering wheel?
Most likely a damaged wire, causing a short circuit.
A common cause of this condition is a worn upper mast jacket bearing. This can cause excessive play in the upper steering column, which causes the horn wire to be chaffed and short out against the jacket.
Consider taking it to a mechanic, because special tools may be needed to replace the bearing .

How do you know if a 3000gt engine is blown?
That sould be pretty obvious, It wont run, makes funny bering knocking noises.
3000Gts have interference engines which means if the timing belt slips a tooth the pistons will hit the valves and bend the valves and or damage the pistons. Check the timing belt for proper alignment with the timing marks on the Cams and crankshaft.
***EDIT***
Yes, it will sound horrible, loud loud rattling, screeching, etc. The SOHC engines are non-interference. You could also have broken ring land/rings, or a melted piston, etc. that I would consider beeing a blown engine, and most likely make your engine run bad. You can test this by pressure testing the cylinders and performing a leak down test.

How do you disengage the horn or alarm system on a 1993 Ford Explorer?
The alarm brain is located in the rear of the SUV, in the jack compartment. You can disable it temporarily by removing the horn fuse, or by unplugging the harness from the brain. Unfortunatly the latter will cut your interior lights, but at least your horn won't sound off everytime you shut off your truck.
Where is the horn located at in a 1991 Chevrolet caprice classic?
The actual horns are in front of the radiator but the problem is usually the buttons located in the steering wheel. Very poor design and prone to breaking. I have had mine fixed twice. Unless you know what you are doing be really careful because the airbag is also located there. Pull the #12 fuse before you mess with it. Also, to disable the airbag on pretty much any car, there is a yellow wire which travels through the steering column which delivers the current needed to fire the bag. Disconnecting this wire near the base(by the pedals) of the steering column will keep the bag from firing.
Disconnect the battery. It's probally doing it because of the weather change. We had a 1985 Toyota 4Runner back in the day and it'd beep non stop when it'd get cold at night.

What happens when a driver presses on the steering wheel to honk the horn of a car?
there is a contact to ground that takes place wich activates the horn relay wich in turn activates the horn
There is a dead short in the horn pad, take off horn pad and look for two wires touching or a hot wire rubbing on something that is grounded. First, disconnect horns in bumper area then press the horn button then check fuse. If the fuse is still good, hook up horns and press horn again. If it blows fuse it is the horn itself.

Your horn don't work what areas do you look at?
If your horn is not working first check the fuse for horn located on the fuse block underneath dashboard on drivers side, if fuse is good check wiring to horn underhood, see if there is a disconnected line or shorted out wire. If Both fuse and wiring check out good, then you have to check the lead wire going threw the steering column (it end up at center bumper pad on steering wheel. 1 wire will attach there and the bumper pad is held on by 2 screws or bolts from the backside of steering wheel.
