What might cause a smaller car to wobble back and forth and slow speeds?
Bad tire, bad wheel, bad cv shaft.......
Unsure if your exhaust has come loose or if it is something else as your car is shaking?
If the exhaust pipe, muffler, or tail pipe have come loose, you will certainly hear the rattling, but that would not be the cause of the shaking. It is something else causing the shaking, ranging from bad tires to bad engine performance.
the cause of this indicates one or more spark plugs,and/or coils need replacing
You need to check the following brake rotors for warping Pads for uneven wear wheel bearings for wear steering control arms and ball joints may be worn out
How do know i need my tires balanced?
If you feel any vibration or shimmy in the steering wheel or if you feel the same things in the vehicle you have a tire out of balance. As you need to rotate your tires at least every 10,000 miles that is a good time to have the tire balance checked.
As a blind guess, the ECM is basing the Air/fuel mixture with incorrect data from a bad sensor or vacuum leak. Check the Idle air control actuator, It's responsible for allowing more or less air to bypass the throttle plate to stabilize the idle. It gets commands from the ECU based on information from various engine sensors.
Where is the crankshaft sensor located on a 1998 Dodge 2500 truck?
If you have thick or short arms, get someone else to do the job.
This might be the exception, but most Dodge light trucks with automatic transmission have a crank sensor near the top of the bell housing just to the drivers side of centerline. Unplug the connector from underhood, passenger side (if you can see it) then from underneath the truck remove the 7/16th head bolt from the sensor. You may need a swivel and very long extension to remove this bolt. You may also need to remove the shifter linkage if this vehicle has an automatic transmission; don't forget to set the parking brake.
Once the bolt is removed, you should be able to give the sensor a short twist like a spark plug wire boot, then pull it out.
On the other hand, we might be talking about a 'logical' crank sensor that exists only in PCM software and is created based on cam sensor data from the pickup in the distributor. Either way, really. Can I have another beer now?
Why would your car rumble at idle?
Bad gas.
Could be a natural function of the idle. If the sound is loud, rough, and uneven, yet the car runs smoothly everywhere else, it might be the way the car is tuned.
What will cause a tire cupping inside?
Shocks or struts worn out, worn suspension parts, or front end out of alignment. Most likely worn shocks or struts.
What makes your car shake when you push the brake pedal?
More than likely you have a warped rotor. Have your brake pads replaced and the rotors turned or replaced.
Also, some cars will automatically pump the brakes in an emergency, or panic braking.
This can be felt as if you rapidly pumped the brakes several times in quick succession.
the purpose of a gasket is to make a seal between 2 other surfaces,to stop fluids, oil or gases from escaping In general, it provides a tighter fit between two pieces of an assembly, hopefully reducing the potential for leaking.
What causes my Jeep to wobble when turning at low speed?
A wobble in your Jeep when turning at low speed could be caused by several factors. Here are some common causes:
Tire Issues: Uneven wear, low pressure, or misaligned tires can cause wobbling. Off-road tires that aren't balanced can also contribute to the problem.
Suspension Problems: Worn-out suspension components such as ball joints, tie rods, or control arms can lead to instability and wobbling when turning.
Steering Components: Issues with the steering system, such as a worn or loose steering rack, steering box, or power steering problems, may cause wobble at low speeds.
Wheel Bearings: If the wheel bearings are worn or damaged, they can cause a wobbling sensation, especially when turning.
Drivetrain Issues: A problem with the drivetrain, such as a failing universal joint (U-joint) or CV joint, could lead to wobbling during turns.
If the problem persists, it's a good idea to have the Jeep inspected by a mechanic to pinpoint and resolve the issue.
What causes heavy vibration at high speed?
Could be motor mounts, the tires out of alignment or out of balance, or the steering needs work.
1997 Chevy crankshaft sensor location k1500 5.7?
I have a 1997 1500 chevy truck vtect engine and I hit a bump in the road and it would not start. What do this mean
Will a bad bearing cause your tire to shake?
a bad bearing will cause it to shake, also a rotar or shocks will do the same.
Motor or transmission mounts. That or your transmission is slipping one way or the other.
Why does the steering wheel vibrate and jerk at high speeds?
wheel balance is out.if it jerks alot at high speeds possibly a tire seperation.if those two possibilities check out then check the toe angle of the front suspension.
Jack up the front end and check for play in the suspension. Check for looseness of the brake caliper. or try checking the outboard CV (Constant Velocity) Joint which is common in front wheel drive vehicles.
Is it safe to drive a 4 cylinder car on 3 cylinders?
Safe yes, smart no. You could very easily ruin the O2 sensor and the Catalytic Converter which are quite expensive.
Could be low of lubricant. Have the level checked. Also can be a clutch throwout bearing problem.
Removal and installation of outer tie rod ends on 1995 Chevrolet lumina minivan?
lift vehicle. remove front tire. loosen jam nut securing inner tie rod to outer tie rod. if equipped, remove cotter pin from outer tie rod nut, which is attached to the knuckle. next, remove outer tie rod nut.with either a hammer, or a pickle fork and hammer. separate tie rod from knuckle. unscrew outer tie rod from inner tie rod. alignment is a must after job is finished.
