The rotten egg odor means your catalytic converter is toast. If no codes were given try to determine what may have caused the cat to fail and correct before installing new one. Generally, raw fuel to the cat will cause early failure. If tune up hasn't been recent good time to check/replace/evaluate all plugs/wires plus cap & rotor.
How do you run the trailer harness to the outside under the van on a 2003 Astro?
The best answer I found for my 2002 Astro was to keep the trailer harness inside the van until needed, then simply open the door, bring out the harness, and close the doors with the harness on the floor of the van, coming out between and under the dutch doors. The rubber gaskets around the doors allow the doors to close on the harness without putting a kink in it, even. This protects the harness from weather when not in use.

How do you change a door mirror on a 2000 Chevy Astro?
There is a black triangle at the front of the side window inside. pry or pop off that black triangle off and you will find screws that hold the mirror on. Unscrew the screws and gently pull the mirror until you find the elctrical connection plug, undo that....and your mirror is free. If it is only the mirror (glass part) that is broke, go to Pep Boys or Autozone and see if they sell replacement mirrors. I am talking about a thin piece of mirror with double sided tape that you peel off and put over the broken mirror glass. It saved me a lot of bucks from changing out mirrors when all that was broken was the (glass) part.
This happens occasionally on my '96 van, especially on uneven ground. Look at the very bottom of the lower slider. There is a small piece of metal which will pivot fore and aft. Push it in and the door should release and close. The metal piece is only about 1" X 1/4 " and is silver colored. Just keep trying to move all the little parts at the bottom of the slider and you'll eventually find the one that moves. Annie
Actually I know of the indicator light which you speak Mine has just started to flash compressor not coming on I do believe that it is just low freon. will let you know more when I have mine tested.
There is not a a/c light on a 1991 chevy. Perhaps it's your alternator light? If the compressor is locked up it will more than likely burn your belt off.
defrost is the default mode. in most cases a vacuun leak is the culprit.

freeze plug at back of engine trans fluid coming from seal behind torque converter. transmission will need to be pulled to do repair.
Or it could be the hose coupler on top of the intake in the rear that corrodes and cracks all the time. Check it out.

Seats are on a track with positions. It seems to me that you would have to move the track itself. However, I am sure that doing so might put you in a less safe position in the car and that you would need to ensure that the new position would be as secure as it was in its original place.
How do you replace the third door handle on a 2002 S-10 Chevy?
Remove the 2 torx head bolts, using a T-30 torx bit, holding the handle housing in place. Using a small knife or utility knife, gently score around the handle housing releasing the small bead of caulk or glue. Pull housing away from the door jam just enough to get your fingers or needle nose pliers on the plastic push pins. Squeeze the push pins, then push through the hole. Remove the housing from the door and tap out the pin with a nail or punch, from the bottom. Install new handle, reinsert pin. Reinstall the housing by reversing the above instructions. Please note: Do not use OEM or Aftermarket plastic handles! They will just break again. There are several Billet Aluminum Handles available now that will last the life of your vehicle. Just go to any search engine and type in 3rd door handle. These fit all S-10's and Sonoma's from 1996-2003! Good Luck!!

I'm on the process of doing this job myself. The IAC motor/valve is located directly above the throtle body where the gas pedal cables attach. You will have to remove the cables bracket with a 8mm, three bolts. Then use a torx bit to remove the two screws on the IAC. BE CAREFUL! I snapped both my screws off and had to drill out and re-tap the holes. Good luck!

How do you fix 95 Chevy Astro van pressure switch and clutch not getting power on ac?
The pressure switch will not allow the clutch on the compressor to engage if it has too low of a pressure, or too high of a pressure. The normal reason for the clutch to not engage is that the system is low on Freon, and that normally means you have a leak in the system that is costly to NOT repair. To Test: Unplug the switch and turn on the AC, probe each side of the switch with a Volt Meter or a test light for power, if you have power then that is not the problem. If you do not have power begin at the fuses and work outwards to find the problem (advanced). Switch replacement is simple, unplug the wires, unscrew the switch (there is a Schrader valve to stop leaks) and put a new switch on. If that does not solve the problem, you are low on Freon you need the system checked before you throw good money after bad in refilling the system constantly.
