Most likely it is protected by a 30Amp circuit breaker, not a fuse. It is located in the fuse panel in the slot marked "ACC". It looks like a fuse but has a metal case.

You can remove the 2000 Chevrolet Astro Van the ignition switch cylinder by removing the retaining ring. The retaining ring will need to be turned to the left. The ignition switch cylinder will slide out.

The first thing to fail in the steering system are the idler arms - they do not have lube fittings from the factory. Change these and the steering will feel like new.

• Step 1 is to be sure you get the correct-fitting replacement wiper blades. All 1985-2005 Chevy Astro Vans take 18" replacement windshield wiper blades on both sides front. The rear arm takes a 14" rear wiper blade.

I have seen a "homemade" Chevy astro pop-top conversion that a couple of guys in Boulder, CO made by installing a used Volkswagon pop-top onto a Chevy astro. Have no idea how this worked out as to leakage etc.

All Chevrolet "V" style engines I have worked on have had the oil presure sensor/switchs behind the distributor, at the back of the motor, or rarely, just above the oil filter, left (drivers) side, towards the back of the engine block.

Chevy doesn't use a "cutoff" or interia switch like Ford does. Chevy activates the fuel pump through a relay controlled by the PCM. As a backup, the oil pressure switch is involved in the circuit, so that if there is oil pressure, the fuel pump gets power even if the relay fails. If the vehicle is not starting, and your fuel pump is not running, you may have a melted connector at the top of the fuel pump/sending unit assembly. You can get a new pigtail wiring assembly from the dealer, and the top of the sending unit assembly will also be damaged, so you will need a new one of those as well.

First you need to determine the size of your engine. If it is a 4.3L V-6 you need to open the hood AND remove the inside engine cover (or "doghouse") as it is referred to as. This will allow you to access all of the spark plugs through one or the other openings. All plugs with the exception of the two rearmost plugs on the drivers side of the engine can easily be accessed this way. The two rear plugs on the drivers side must be accessed from under the vehicle (unless you're a contortionist)! It would also be a great help to have someone inside the vehicle for these two plugs to help to guide your plug wrench onto those plugs as well as to guide your plugwrench to them when re-installing them.I have seen more than a few astro 4.3L V-6 engines where these two plugs were purposely overlooked due to the difficulty in reaching them. Total time; open hood-1 minute,removing "doghouse"-10-15 minutes,removing plugs AND replacing them-25 minutes,re-installing "doghouse"-10 minutes,closing hood-1 minute, washing up and having a much-needed beer-1-2 hours. These are approximate times for a novice. For a total beginner at least double these times! Good Luck!

The shocks are very easy to replace. You have 2 bolts holding the bottem on and 1 on the top. Remove the from wheels. You can use common ratchet set. Don't take to shop. Replace them yourself. Will take no more than an hour with an unexperienced mechanic.. The rear are the same, except do not remove the wheel. Easy stuff.

It ought to be. According to every piece of data on the Prizm that I've seen, the Prizm and the Toyota Corolla are essentially the exact same car, with only a few very small differences beyond the names of the manufacturers. I can't be certain of this, however, because the 1993 Geo underwent a frame alteration to provide more room within the car. This might have altered the internal engine components, though I sincerely doubt it would have. I'd rate the likelihood of the part fitting at around 85%. I'd also probably wait for someone more competent than I to answer this question, though I'll close off mentioning that the Chilton's Manual for 1994 cars includes the Toyota Corolla and Geo Prizm as one entry, with a slash separating them.

Yes,it can be done where all transmission shops and even some national chain oil change centers have the equipment to connect to the transmission coolant lines that go through the radiator and actually "flush and replace" the old fluid with brand new. This operation usually takes less than one hour and can be done "while you wait". Usual cost is about $70 to $100. If you wish to do it your self, there is available an apparatus that will "suck" out your old fluid by means of a tube inserted into your transmission fill tube. However,this method is not only costly for the vacuum pump but also will leave a substantial amount of fluid in your converter which only leaves the job "half-done". Better off to take it to a fluid change center.

If your astro is like mine and has that lovely plastic shroud, then it's gonna take a while. 1.You have to first remove all the bolts from the cover directly over top of the radiator.

2. remove the large plastic tube connected to the shroud to allow you to remove it.

3. You should be able to see the bolts holding down the radiator on either side. remove them

4. Remove the rings holdings the hoses to the radiator and pull them off. make sure to allow the engine to cool before you do this.

5. The radiator should pull right out.

At the dealer.... when you add the other suspension parts they find that are shot... $1100.... plus tax. And btw, that is PARTS and LABOR.
