Remove trim panel from the door. First try to hammer on the motor while pushing the up button. If this does not work drill out 3-4 rivets ,remove the motor , push the glass with both hands up into close position then replace motor with new or for the mean time reistall with old.

Hello there If you have a 1996 Toyota tacoma,4 cylinders. THERE IS NO WAY to adjust the timing on this trucks,because it comes permanently configured,so you do not worry about adjust timing on your beautiful truck,so you have maybe another problem,or maybe you have to change the whole timing chain kit.

The '94 had two sizes. 22 gallon and 33 gallon. If you get below a quarter tank, and it takes 25 gallons or more to fill up, you can assume you have a 33 gallon tank! I have put almost 34 gallons in my 91 Chevy Van that I bought new. In 17 years, I have come to know that Van pretty well. Could be I was almost dry and the fill hose holds a gallon.

I've noticed that my knee or the passenger knee lines up perfectly with the power lock switch...simple but true!

Check the door pin switches that turn the dome lights on when opening the doors. If one is not getting pushed all the way in when the door is closed, every time you hit a bump, the switch will momentarily open & close, which causes the locks to lock & unlock. Also, if the cargo lights are set to turn on when the doors are open, they will flash on & off when the locks do.

you take a screwdriver and pop the covers off (they are a pressure clip, no skrews).

from there you should see 4 skrews or bolts on each speaker, remove those... the speaker should come right up. disconnect the clip holding the wires on.

You need to remove the transmissions lower pan. Start by loosing the bolts around the pans flange. Make sure you hav a container under it to catch the fluid. Once you have loosened all the pan bolts let it set for a while until the fluid stops flowing. Once that's done let one of the corners of the pan down lower to get most of the fluid out of the transmission pan.

Now you can remove the rest of the bolts being carful as not to tip the pan to far or your going to get fluid all over. (The pan still has about two quarts or so left in it.)

You should do this on a calm day so as not to get dirt blown in the transmission. I'd recommend replacing the transmission oil filter also. Most of them just pull off or are held in place with a clip or bolt. Install new filter. Then clean the old pan gasket from the underside of the tranny, and the pan. Put a little gasket sealant on the pan cover. Place the ne gasket on the pan cover making sure it's on correctly. You should be able to see that the bolt holes in the gasket align up properly. Put the pan in place under the tranny and start all the pan bolts. Once all the bolts are in place you can snug them all up evenly. After they are all snug you can tighten them being carefull not to over tighten. To tight will disform the pan and it may not seal. Get about 5-6 quarts of the proper fluid and put in 4, start the engine and check the fluid level. Add more as recquired. There is going to be some old fluid you couldn't change because it was left in the torque converter. A shop removes it all by vacuum. If you have any concerns about doing this yourself I'd take it to a shop and have them do it. Good Luck!

you probably have an blown intake gasket and/or a blown head gasket. The gm gaskets do not hold up to the red coolant and are eaten away. I just had it replaced on mine.

It's a Chevy... That is the biggest overall reason why. Now, myself, I've found if you want a vehicle that will get stuff done, Ford is the auto maker to go with. I own 3 and all 3 run and drive good, and one of them has been in 3 wrecks in an 8 month period all because of other people. I own a Tempo (runs and drives well, just needs a new rack and pinion), a Topaz (runs and drives well, just needs sway bushings and cosmetic accident damage fixed), and a Taurus (runs well, only needing a front windshield from a hail storm and front end fixed where my woman had an accident in it.). Now, these vehicles are not the newest, and even have pretty high mileage, yet still run and drive despite situations arising from weather or non-drivers. Junk the Chevy, Burn Chryslers, and Buy and keep Fords!!! Best advice you can ever get. It's worked wonders for me.

To replace the headlight (old style - separate rectangular headlight) - you have to remove the bezel that surrounds the front of each headlight. If your bezel screws are rusted in - and they well may be - then be sure to saturate them well with some penetrating oil and let it soak in. Otherwise you may snap off the screw or if the screw is really well-stuck to the bezel, you can snap off the cheap little spot weld that holds the bracket to the bezel, and then you will have to order a spare from Chevy or get an aftermarket one - which are also cheap quality. So take care and you can keep the original bezel. Good luck with this one. This is one area where Chevy went way too cheap and got a really chintzy part from its in-house supplier. Don't get me started where GM went wrong on this otherwise fine vehicle.

Not knowing what type of car you have , I suggest you take your car to a local parts store to purchase windshield wiper fluid and ask the store personal to help put the fluid in your car ( show you were it goes ) they will do this for free in most cases

By repairing he problem, which is more than likely a blown head gasket. Do not drive this car as severe engine damage will occur. My two cents:

Note that other leaks can cause this problem. GM 3.1L and 3.4L SFI engines get this problem from a lower intake gasket. Chrysler OHC V6 Engines (chain timed) will do this if the water pump leaks.

Did you check the Power Brake booster vacuum hose? Also the booster itself make have a busted diaphragm.

From the upright position, push the armrest in towards the seat and rotate it backwards a few inches. It will pop off when it is in the right spot. Be careful not to lose the curved washer that goes on the pin as you will need that to reinstall the armrest.
