There are a couple of different times when you'd turn off your headlights. You'd turn off your headlights when the car is off for example.

The engine has not been properly refilled with anti-freeze. This air bubble blocks collant flow to the cabin heater.

open the hood, look at the battery, trace the wire from the battery leading downward to the starter and solenoid. It will be in the front section, however, on the underside, so possibly not visible right away. You may access it from underneath the car. The solenoid sits on top of the starter, you will see them, they are both cylindrical in shape, the starter being much larger than the solenoid.

The easiest way to reset the ABS light in a 1992 Chevy Lumina is to disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes. When it is reconnected, the light should be reset.

Remove the fuel tank. Mounted inside on the top of the tank.

A failure in the ABS self-check. This light staying on means the ABS will NOT function again until the problem is located and fixed. -- A side note: the most common failure in GM cars is the front wheel bearing / ABS sensor.

It means that the car is not able to recognize the chip that is in your ignition key. This is bad because usually with security features like that, the lack of the chip causes your fuel pump to shut down which means you'll be running on only the fuel already in your lines.

I had this happen on mine only once and a gentle wiggle of my key made the light go off. You can also try cleaning the key with rubbing alcohol to get rid of any grime that may be preventing the chip from being read. It's something worth having a garage take a look at.

because you have your heat on when you see it. White exhaust smoke is a sign of coolant entering the combustion chamber. If you are loosing coolant, then you more than likely have either a blown head gasket, or a cracked head, especially if the engine has overheated recently. Stop driving this car immediately or severe engine damage will occur. Change the oil & filter and drive it to a professional for repair.

Shift right preserves the sign by preserving the sign-bit (leftmost bit):

This more than likely has nothing to do with the turn signal switch. Check the bulbs, fuse, and look for loose wiring.

Actually, I had a similar problem on my 97 Lumina and it was the turn signal switch. I'm getting it repaired tomorrow so I'm not sure what it costs yet.

Low battery voltage .?

You will need to remove the retaining ring at the top of your 1998 Chevy Lumina ignition switch. Slide the ignition switch out. Remove the wiring harness.

When there are problems with a vehicle it is important to find out what is causing them. To find the codes, one needs a code reader to do it on their own, or run it to an automotive shop.

I am assuming this is a traction control warning light. Some vehicles have yaw and roll sensors. If the sensor is bad and is returning a faulty voltage value to the module (probably the body control module) that monitors those sensors, the light will come on.

on the back of the block almost under the exhaust downpipe right above the oil pan. two wires plug in purple and yellow. there is normally a second sensor behind the balancerbut it's to keep the idle smooth after starting

Well if it takes you 3 hours, there is a problem. an hour tops

I took out the back seat so i could run it underneath it, and then the trim along the doors, under them as well. I ran the wires for the stereo down the left side of the car. The power wire i ran up the left side. There is a wire under there that i could plug it into. There was a wire there i plugged into. I wired my power wire into the wire labeled power. It can only handle 10 Amps, and there is a very large warning sayin that if you overpower it, it can cause damage to your electrical system. I've never been able to find anything on this, so not sure what its for exactly, but I've had it wired up for a year or so now an its been fine. Better make sure ya do it professionally or it could cause problems as well. Make sure you have a 10 Amp fuse between your amp and this connection.

There are 2 issues that need to be looked at in this case. Procure a can of CRC MAF cleaner from a FLAPS. Follow the directions and clean the MAF sensor. The GM sensors get dirty and that confuses the computer. Second clean the Idle air controller with carburettor (Berkebile 2+2 or equivalent) cleaner. Also clean the manifold passages where the IAC lives. If this doesn't fix the issue replace the IAC unit. (NAPA part about $60).

Once you fill the radiator and recovery tank start the car break the water pump blender to prime pump the then the the thermostat bleeder as you fill you should have the car running and the heater on two to three time it should be blead check your top and bottom hoses to make sure there both getting warm also check the heater hose to make sure you have full circulation
