The crank shaft sensor is a common problem on those. It is under the ignition module. Post you findings. It may have a problem starting especially in cold weather because you battery could be bad. Cold weather starting is hard on a battery. Just go have you battery and your alternator checked and most likely one of those is the problem. Had the same problem. The Chevy dealership had no clue what to do. Replace the spark plugs and coat plug ends (side where cable attaches with di-electric grease. Remove EGR valve from plenum. There is probably a ton of carbon deposit in the port hole (should be about one inch in diameter. Use a dremel tool to grind out the carbon and a shop vac to suck up the debris. You don't want the debris going into the plenum! Be sure to clean up the carbon on the EGR port hole as well. I'd replace the oxygen sensor too. Cheap fix - about $35. Re-assemble and your car will run like new again, the heater will blow hot air again, and your gas mileage will improve noteably.

normally what i do it is to have some one hold the mirror very tightly while the button assembly is sitting firm against a hard surface (like the edge of the table) then i take a flat head screwdriver and a hammer - put the tip of the screwdriver on the button and just knock it out with the hammer - works like a champ for this redneck p.s. make sure you glue the correct side of the button and yes - use the primer first.

remove master cylinder cap, raise vehicle and take off tire, remove caliper mounting bolts, detach the caliper and be very carefull of brake hose.hang up caliper with something to prevent breaking hose. use a screwdriver to pull up the retaining spring on the outside pad while sliding it out of the caliper. unclip the inner pad from the piston, before putting on new pads, compress piston back in bore with a big c-clamp! place old pad on piston to compress. installation is in reverse order! when done do not forget to put master cap back on.

However, I can tell you there is a trick to releave the pressure on certain valves so you can get to were your going.. or if your stuck in traffic..Put your heater on full blast and roll down the windows that will hold you over until you get her in the shop.the library should have a shop manual for this vehicle :)
