Did this to my 98 Malibu v6, the low pressure valve is on line beside fire wall behind engine, it has blue protective cap on it. high pressure valve you would not use has red cap on it located beside radiator/condenser. You don't say what year your Malibu is so this may not apply to you if your unit uses the R12 refrigerant.

first of all, make sure its your clutch. You will have to drop the tranny which will involve removing your front drive train. (both axles) Your clutch will be bolted to the ring gear on your engine, but you cant just change your clutch. You should also change your pressure plate,release bearing, pilot shaft bearing or, in some cases, it might be a bushing buddy its not a small job. I hope this helps good luck

The struts on a 1999 Chevy Prism are changed by jacking the vehicle up and removing the wheel. The struts are then unbolted from the vehicle while the tension is low, and new struts put in place.

It's almost certainly low refrigerant. When the compressor turns on the low pressure side is evacuated, resulting in refrigerant pressure that is low enough to turn off the low pressure switch. As soon as the refrigerant leaks back through from the high side to the low side, the pressure goes up enough to trip the low pressure switch back on, allowing the compressor to run briefly. Just add some refrigerant and you will solve the problem. Most auto parts retail stores will sell you a kit that lets you add a little refrigerant. Add a can to your AC and see how it runs. Use a gauge to add enough for the system to operate at it's optimal level.

good question. I'm trying with my 2001 but can't get the handle off, despite following the instructions from the haynes guide. I'm afraid I'm going to break the door or another mechanism if i force it. did you succeed in the end?

remove screw, push (takes some force) the entire door handle towards the front of the car. pull side closest to the front of car out first. with flat head screwdriver, lift plastic tab off metal L shaped door release. slide metal up and out of plastic.

Go to an AC specialist, the leak is easily found if you use die when recharging.

The blower motor speed resistor is burned out.

yes,it is expensive 125.00 but if you loose the master key it will run 500.00 and 1000.00 to get a new computer plus 75.00 to reprogram.the master is the only key that opens the glove box.i know this first hand i bought a used Toyota 2003 highlander with no master and had to fight the dealer to eat up the cost and still had to pay for programming and a remote.

NO. There is a timing chain, and under most conditions, lasts the life of the vehicle. Do not get hooked into replacing the timing chain unless absolutely necessary with high mileage and extreme engine abuse. It would cost about $1500 at the dealer.

You can use any permanent antifreeze( prestone, peak, store brands) mixed at 50/50 with water. 15 years ago it was a concern because not all antifreeze formulations were compatible with aluminum engine parts but now all are. Antifreeze companies would like you to change your antifreeze every 2 years but changing it at the 100,000 mile intervals should be fine.I hope this helps you. Begin by loosening the tensioner pulley. Slide the tensioner pulley to the right and the belt will become loose. Remove the old belt and put the new belt on. Tighten the new belt by sliding the tensioner pulley to the left.

inside the radiator,but you need to change when the radiator is to hot.ok.

Here are some things to check:

1. make sure the fuse is good.

2. It could be low on freon, if so the pressure sensor will not allow the compressor to run.

3. The AC switch itself could be bad.

Where is it located? It is under the rear of the vehicle almost directly under the muffler next to the charcoal canister.

Is it easy to replace? That depends! It isn't particularly difficult but it is in a confined space and does require patience some mechanical ability and a few specialized tools like 1/4 drive sockets, stubby screwdriver and box end wrenches.

The sensor is secured by two fasteners that require stubby Phillips #2 scredriver and box end wrenches or 1/4 socket drive. It is in a very confined space and will require you to twist, turn and curse getting a good shot at the securing hardware. The muffler and exhaust pipes are in the way and the repair manual says to remove them to gain better access. It can be done without removing the exhaust but it is almost certianly more difficult. Removal of the exhaust can be difficult and adds more complexity.

Answer Options. There a few features that are standard on the LSI that are options on the Base model (if I recall it is things like tach, power windows/locks, folding rear seat, things like that). I always thought the way to tell the difference between the two was the trim around the windows. LSI has black trim while the base is mostly body colored. Having said that I have 02 Base with the above features, no black trim and my Insurance says it's a LSI. Go figure.

I read somewhere that you have to carefully do this (piece is VERY fragile) with a small screw driver and basically push it away from the window. Don't know if it works but what I read.

check cigarette lighter for metal debris then change fuse.

That is a job best left to a repair shop with the proper equipment. The spring must be compressed and that can be very dangerous.

you need to adjust the rear brakes and that will tighten up the e brake. If that doesnt help, you may need new rear brake shoes.

Underside of the engine on the passenger side. Facing towards the rear you'll see a drain plug at the bottom of your oil pan (about 1 1/2 feet back).

i checked the fuses and don't know if this is the problem---should i lood for somethin else?
