Does gumout engine flush damage your vehicle?
Engine flush is designed to clean out the gunk in the system. If the crud blocks up in the engine and the flush just piles it up worse, then there could be problems, but the flush itself is safe.
Engine power reduction on a 2002 coachman catalina?
1. Engine compression perform engine compression and cylinder difference test. 2. Fuel filter and fuel pump pressure verify the in tank booster pump is running and producing the correct pressure. Replace all fuel filters.
I Have a 99 Ford Explorer XLS 4X4 OHV and it does the same thing. I discovered that it is the Idle Air Control Valve(IAC) located under the intake manifold. You can try cleaning it first to see if that solves your problem, if not you can get a new one for about $45 to $50. Removal and installation are very easy once you locate it and identify it. Hope this helps anyone dealing with this annoying problem.
2006 ford f150 horsepower 5.4 engine?
I believe it is 300 SAE NET horsepower at 5000 RPM and 365 lb ft torque at 3750 RPM for the 5.4 3V
check your fuel pump, fuel filter and air cleaner
Where is the Engine number located on a 2004 Murano engine?
looking at the engine right side by the rear head yo can see it without taking anything off
Why is neutral difficult to find sometimes when engine is running?
That's the enduring 'sticky plates' problem in the clutch basket. The clutch plates sit in oil and as the oil gets older it can break down leaving sticky deposits. More commonly the plates wear to a polished finish which causes then to stick together. Practice this: Engine running, clutch in, put the stationary bike in second. Brakes ON, find the clutch bite point and short rev (blip) the engine against the bite. As the revs drop, quickly pull the clutch right in and half press the gear lever. That will be neutral then!
How do you get sludge out of engine?
What I like to do from time to time is add a quart of Transmission fluid about 3 days before an oil change, the transmission fluid has detergents that clean out any sludge from your engine. of coarse if you never change your oil and its thick as tar you may need professional help for your car.
Which engine is stronger B6-4 or C6-3?
The C6 -3 is twice as strong as the B6-4 but runs for a shorter time. It will propel a bigger rocket. I use C6 on rockets about 30-33 inches long, 1 inch diam.
Why are two strokes faster than four strokes?
Both types go through four phases: intake, compression, expansion and exhaust.
A 4-stroke needs two turns of the crankshaft to do this while a 2-stroke can do it in one turn of the crank.
And since it's only the expansion phase that makes power, being able to make power at every turn as opposed to every 2nd turn means a 2-stroke can make more power for the same size engine, or the same amount of power from a smaller engine.
The cost of this is that they tend to pollute more, and have less torque at low rpms.
What might cause a noise in the engine and the engine is missing?
well we need more info on your problem to be able to give you a fairly good answer. is it a tapping sound, knocking sound. where does the sound comes from top or bottom of engine. just listen to it and try to determine where you hear that sound the most. trust me it may be nothing expensive.
As the previous user suggested we need more info. A source of noise can be the combustion itself. The phenomenon sometimes responsible for noise inside engine is called combustion instability. This phenomena is caused by coupling between the acoustics (caused by the injection system, fluid flow etc) and the combustion itself. When this two couple and the excess energy can't be dissipated the perturbations inside the combustion chamber grow and the entire combustion process becomes unstable. The engine becomes very noisy and you can see a lot of vibrations. On a side note, combustion instability is a phenomena very important in rocket engines. That's actually the reason why USA won the space race to the moon against Russia. Russia was not capable to solve the stability of combustion in large engines as US did.
What is the difference from a 302 engine to a 347?
347 stroker is a 302, bored .030 over with a .400" long crank.
302= 4 x 3 inch
347= 4.03 x 3.4inch
the check engine light comes on for many reason or many parts usally emmision related.
Does a 1996 clio engine have an interference engine?
yes both the 8 valve and 16 valve engines are interterence engines
How does an internal combustion engine rely on metals to conduct heat .?
Some heat from the combustion chamber goes out in the exhaust, but some gets conducted from the cylinder walls into the water jacket (liquid cooling). In an air cooled engine, heat is conducted into the fins and ultimately convected and radiated to the environment. If that did not happen, the engine would quickly overheat. That could cause it to sieze, or the fuel could preignite, basically throwing the ignition timing way, way off and the engine would stop.
To provide an accurate reading of the gas in your tank, the dash gauge relies on a stable power supply voltage and a relatively slow changing linear variable voltage proportional to the liquid level in the tank. Problems with either will result in misleading readings. Because the power supply in a car will vary between about 12.4volts and 14.5 volts it is usually not stable enough to supply the gauge. Instead the instrument gauges (gas, temperature, oil) receive their voltage supply from a stabiliser unit (generally mounted at the back of the instrument cluster). If this unit develops problems one or more and sometimes all guages will behave erratically. The gauge receives a voltage signal proportional to the tank liquid level from a sending unit (sensor) located in the tank itself. To test.....locate the supply wire from the sensor to the gauge. Ground (earth)this wire temporarily. Switch the ignition key on. The dash guage should indicate a full tank. If it does then the problem is with the tank sensor. If the gauge does not indicate 'full' then the problem lies with the guage end of things and not the tank sensor. If all other dash gauges are behaving normally the problem is most likely the fuel guage itself. If any other guage is reading erratically in addition to the fuel gauge the problem is most likely the voltage stabiliser, but don't forget to first look for more obvious problems like loose or dirty wiring connections. Hope this helps.....if more info needed, email me at seahog@btinternet.com
please be more specific, but in short - coolant system and coolant used is the same as any other car. rotary's do run hotter than piston engines on generally speaking.
No the engine fluhsing does not ruin the engine.
Cleanliness of diesel & Mobil oil is of the utmost importance. Damage to engine can occur if diesel & Mobil are not properly and completely cleaned. The contamination in the engine can occur from various sources, such as bio degradation of fuel, formation of microbial contents, water presence, More sulphur presence, gum, wax, and sump tank etc.
The flushing need is arises due to black smoke coming out from silencer, increase in fuel consumption, drop in pick up, due to increase in wear & tear of the the engine component etc................
The flushing needs to be done with a proper procedure, whether your vehicle engine is under warranty period or not but this procedure should be carried out in authorized workshop. If the precautions are not taken then the engine failure will take place.
The other way out is to to take the diesel from fuel pump & changing the mobile on time interval recommended by the car manufacturer. In case if the over heating takes place check the viscosity of the mobil and then only use it. In case if there is any hose leakage that will drop the oil level which you can see in the oil indicater then use top up oil or if it has reached changing interval period then change it with new oil.
Perhaps the driver of this 1990 Tracker is referring to the speed in which the torque converter cluch (TCC) blocks up. My 1991 Tracker's TCC is designed to lock-up at 40MPH. This is accomplished by the governor pressure (which is determined by road speed). The TCC relay is under the hood and it sends the signal to the governor pressure switch. When the governor switch closes it energizes the lock-up solenoid valve, which pressurizes the TCC mechanism causing lock-up, which could be mistaken for another shift by some.
