Which way does a distributor turn on a Daewoo Lanos 1999 model 1.5L?
I have 1999 lanos and it is a distributor-less model.
check plugs and wires first. Then fuel filter, ait, then tps then map then cranshaft sensor, The order is from cheap to expensive, You can check the sensor voltage just get a manual. Last but not least check the o2 then the cat. If non of these are at fault its more that likley a mechanical, check compression for head gasket then the timing check. Start with having it scanned then this is from low to high in price. I was lucky i checked all this stuff then found the wires were bad, 39 bucks and she ran fine, Had i followed this list i would have found it before checking all the other stuff. But i know they are good now. Good luck let others know this list. Cheap to expensive possible problems with deawoo loss of power problems.

How do you remove the cylinder head from a 2000 Daewoo Lanos?
if you are not mechanicly minded you should leave this to an expert.
you will need good selection of tools, most of all a rattle gun and air compressor, don't try if you don't have as you have to remove crankshaft bolt, which is done up real tight
first disconcet battery, drain all coolant, remove radiator, remove the exhaust shield and manifold,
remove air cleaner box and hose, drain power steering fluid, remove all belts firstly loosen the three bolts that hold on pulley, loosen and take off all the bolts that hold the a/c compressor to its bracket,be carefull as the compressor gas is under pressure.you can let it hang carefully.undo the pipe that goes to the power steer pump, then there are 2 bolts that hold the pump on,remove these.remove fuel and wiring connectors, remove all the manifold bolts, they are a bit of a pain to get to,also you will have to undo the manifold stay bracket, located in the middle half way down the manifold
the inlet mainfold can stay in car but make sure its loose and no bolts still hold it to the head.ok now comes the triky part, removal of timing belt, remove all the bolts holding timing cover on,you must remove crank pulley now. remove the rest of the cover bolts and the cover.remove the rocker cover, remove spark plugs,
turn engine over by the bolt on the camshaft,to align the timing marks, make sure they are in the correct posistion, use rattle gun again to remove cam shaft bolt, leave belt and pulley attached now there are 3 Allen head bolts that hol the water pump on loosen these bolts, the water pump then has to be turned to slacken off tension of the timing belt, when this is done remove timing belt and cam pulley, remove the other bolts from all around the the plastic inner timing cover, some are triky to find when you have found them all the cover will fall off.remove all the head bolts now the cam box will then lift off becarefull because all the rockers are loose and will fall off.
now double check that you have undone everything and the head should come off.
to refit is more hard task
but this should help you
When change timing belt on Daewoo nexia?
Timing belt on the Nexia should be change every 60 thousand miles, but due to the plastic enclosure, oil leaks and extreme weather variations timing belt could suffer major wear and tear way before the recommended replacement mileage point is reached. I would check for oil leaks that stream down the timing belt area and to take care of them at once and then proceed to decide if replacing the belt would be a safe practice. Timing belt replacement might as well implicate replacement of idler and tensioner pulley, plus water pump, and I would consider it overall a major repair that requires time and patience. The amount of money most shops would charge you makes convenient for the do-it-yourselfer to attempt the repair.

Jack up rear of car, use axle stands for safety. Ensure handbrake is off. Remove rear wheel, a single small Posidrive grub holds the drum to hub. Sometimes if high mileage a rim is left on the outer edge of hub, unequal wear. This can make pulling off the hub difficult, use a 3 legged puller. Be aware this can pull the shoes off the retaining pins.
if its a manual it could be your clutch slipping, it more likely to slip in highter hears up inclines. if its an automatic it may be an internal fault on the gearbox, take the gearbox dipstick out and smell it, if it has a burnt smell then you have problems and need to see a specilist. robb http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=S001&UserAction=viewSimpleDiagInfo&Parameters=info sounds like a manuel transmission with a slipping clutch

How do you remove the door panel on a 1999 Daewoo Lanos?
have to remove the glass mechanism handle the three bolts in the bottom of the panel the rest are clips pull them
The Daewoo Lanos 1998 has only 2 screws at the bottom and one in the handle. I tried the shoe string thing to remove the window crank, without successs but managed to get the circlip out using a flat trowel to separate the window crank from the inner spacer and then hooking the circlip out with something thin with a hook. Getting the circlip back on again afterwards proved a lot more problematic. Mark
There is a small black plastic piece that surrounds your door handle. You MUST take that off, I find a small flat tip screw driver works best. The plastic cover that goes on the inside part of the door where your mirror is should be removed, makes it a lot easier to remove door trim: No screws on that part just grab from both sides and pull. 3 screws on bottom and 1 screw inside the armrest. The window crank, easiest way tried and true, shoestring, pull handle towards inside of car until you have enough room to fit the shoestring between crank and plastic washer. Give it a pull back and forth and it'll pop right off; clip should stick to shoestring as an added bonus.

To put the handle back on simply clip the circlip onto the handle and then push the handle onto the spindle
