How do you change a 2002 Daewoo Lanos fuel pump?
1) Remove the fuse for the fuel pump in the engine compartment fuse box.
2) Start the car and let it run until the engine stalls. This will release the pressure in the fuel system.
3) Remove the lower back seat. There is a bolt that needs to be undone, down the back of the seat
4) Remove the plastic cover. You should now be able to see the fuel pump.
5) Release the electrical connection to the fuel pump.
6) Using a brass punch and a hammer knock the locking ring that holds the fuel pump in position to the fuel tank round to release the pump.
7) Remove the fuel lines to the fuel pump.
8) Remove pump and sealing o ring.
There is a high probability that it's the fuel pump, but don't go changing parts until you've verified that the pump is bad.
read the wiring diagram and figure out which wires going to the fuel pump run the fuel pump and which are for the fuel gauge. Make sure you have electrical current to the fuel pump, recognizing that the fuel pump only runs for a few seconds if the engine doesn't start. That means you may need to have someone help you by turning the key on and off after you have your voltmeter in place.
If there is no power to the fuel pump it could be the fuse, but understand that if it's the fuse, most likely the fuel pump has failed and started pulling too much current.
It could also be the relay or even a sensor.
Check things out before you replace parts. In the long run it will save you time, money and a lot of frustration. I've seen far too many times when people have thrown parts at a problem and later found that they've connected something wrong.
Daewoo lanos compressor not cooling?
The compressor may have a leak, to check you would need freon with UV dye and a light kit to check for a leak in the a/c system. * If it is leaking - replacement or possible sealing The compressor may not be cycling on due to low freon levels. * Recharge a/c system Those are the most common issues.

What could cause a 99 Daewoo Lanos to go through 5 injectors in 3 years?
It could possibly be an additive in the fuel. Some types of fuel injector cleaner can clean as well as possibly damage fuel injectors. It's also possible that debris from somewhere in the fuel lines is getting into them. It wouldn't hurt to change the fuel filter and check the fuel pressure to see if the fuel pump is operating correctly. Another possibility might be the electrical side of the system.
What are the timing marks for a 2000 Daewoo lanos?
The timing marks are for referance on where the cam and crank are to be positioned. The Lanos has marks on each of the timing gears. There is a notch to line up on the bottom (crank/ little cut out in the pan) and up top, the intake at 9 and exhaust at 3 O clock (lined up with the valvue cover). Not a great explaination but hopefully this helps. Actualy I told you wrong on the cam marks, they should line up with each other (pointing to each other along the lines of the cam bolts)
How do you access the brake light bulbs on a Daewoo Lanos to change them?
I found this tricky too. It's not that obvious and it's different to how it works on some other cars I've had.
Undo the 2 screws on light cluster. Then to get the cluster out, if you are standing at the rear of the car and you wish to remove the left cluster, move it slightly to the left to release it from its fixture, then pull it towards you.
Once you have release the light cluster, you can remove the individual bulbs via the rear of the cluster - rotate the bulb's round plastic fixture and then pull it out.

How do you remove the starter motor on a Daewoo lanos?
The starter is in between the intake and the transmission, it is a very tight fit and very difficult to remove. The first thing to do is disconnect the battery and then safely jack the car up. Climb under the car and reach up over the transmission and remove the wires first. There should be a gap between the transmission and the engine that you can see thru. After the wires are off, remove the bottom bolt with a size 13 deep socket, it is very slow going one click of the ratchet at a time. Once the ratchet stops ratcheting on its own use a long screw driver in the other hand to press against the socket to maintain the ratcheting action. There is no way to get your hand up there so everything has to be done with the ratchet. After the bottom bolt is off its time to move to the top bolt. The top bolt can be much more difficult and is accessed from under the hood. Recommend using a ratcheting wrench due to lack of space. There is a lot of wires and coolant lines in the way that make it extremely difficult to remove. Again this bolt will be very slow going. After the top bolt is off remove the starter from under the vehicle, this can also be a challenge just be patient and you'll get it. This is not an easy fix on a Daewoo, 3-5 hours should be set aside just for removal and another 3-5 for installation.
