What causes psychosis or delerium that comes and goes hourly and daily?

The very nature of delirium is a fluctuant course: ie. the disorder changes along the same day: worse when the light is less, or there is less stimulation. It maybe characterized by hallucinations especially visual and those maybe frightening in case of delirium tremens (a disorder occurring to those who use alcohol for may years and suddenly stop for any reason. : that maybe why it may be misdiagnosed as a psychosis where the hallucinations occur in clear consciousness.

A key feature to distinguish is to test for attention. An easy way to do that is to ask the person to count from 1 to 10 and then backwards. If person is able to do it, then attention is intact.

Psychosis is a very broad term. Some scientists especially for researc purposes consider the term to be equal to: having delusions and hallucinations. There are other schools that consider an individual psychotic if their judgment is impaired, have no insight, are not functioning in the absence of a physical disability that may prevent their functioning. Detachment from reality is a term used to encompass a broad range of behaviors and experiences, that include but are not confined to experiencing hallucinations and delusions.

Psychosis maybe organic: ie. caused by a tangible, measurable, disorder that can be proved by investigations, eg blood samples, EEGs, CT and MRI, ...etcOr it maybe functional as in schizophrenia or mood disorders.

Psychosis may occur over and above a dementing process. Alzheimer's disease (the most commonly diagnosed dementia nowadays) may have superimposed psychosis (and delirium)

It is necessary to add that the demracation between functional and organic is becoming hazy. Everything now maybe viewed from a "biological" perspective. Attempts are being made to identify the disorders through measurable and tangible investigations eg. MRS, SPECT, PET.

How do you bleed brakes clockwise or counter clockwise?

The Bleeders Will Open Counter Clockwise, Just The Same As Removing a Bolt. Make Sure You Put Some Penetrating Spray On Them If They Are Feeling Real Tight ( not WD-40 ) A Good Brand Also Use A 6 Point Socket, Or Wrench And Take Your Time. The bleed valve is turned COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to bleed air from the brake lines. You'll need someone to press the brake pedal as someone else turns the valve to let air/brake fluid out. Once the pedal is down as far as it will go, turn the valve back closed, then the pedal should be let back up. Repeat that process until the brake pedal is firm. Make sure you keep the brake fluid reservoir full.

Why would an almost 13-year-old have breasts like a flat board?

Thirteen isn't all that old so I wouldn't worry just yet. Before your breasts grow in, sometimes as much as a year before they will be very tender. This is a sign that your milk ducts are maturing and after this process is underway you will begin adding a layer of fatty tissue over the milk producing tissue. You can expect that you breasts will continue to grow until you are between 16-20. Late starters usually finish later also. The best indication of what size you will be is to look at your mother, her mother and sisters and your father's sister and mother. On a side note, there is a small chance that you have a hormonal problem which can be caused by an number of things. If you have had your first period but have not noticed any breast tenderness or changes you may want to talk to a doctor just to be certain. Breasts are mostly made of fat so if you are in poor health or are not eating enough your body won't waste it's reserves building fat in your breasts. But, when you recover or start eating normally growth will begin. I hope this helps some. Don't worry too much about what develops when, it will all even out before you leave high school. :) We're all a product of genetics. If your mother or your fathers mother were small breasted, you have a good chance of having the same physical characteristics. If your mother and grandmother had medium or larger breasts you'll probably inherit that as well. Some young women just take a little longer to develop, so look at your mother and try to figure out what size you'll be then maybe ask your mother how old she was when she developed. Whatever happens, recognize that you're more than your body shape. The only thing that separates humans from animals is our ability to understand, our intelligence distinguishes us. Rather than focus on what your breasts look like, read and do well in school. There are some young men who are really attracted to smart women. These are usually smart young men and are typically the ones who do well later in life. Maybe some day you'll want to marry. Would you rather have a husband who wants a smart wife or one who wants a wife with large breasts?

You are feeling light cramps and have had spotting for a few minutes one day skipped one day then light spots another day could this be a sign of pregnancy?

Spotting is sometimes considered implantation bleeding, though this is not as common as we would like to believe especially when trying to conceive. It's entirely possible to be pregnant, though it depends on when the spotting occurs. If it's a week or so before your period is due, this COULD be implantation bleeeding (which is a bleeding that happens when the egg implants itself of the uterine wall) although if it comes on the expected day or close to it, this could just be a light period that is scanty. I would suggest taking a home pregnancy test or seeing your doctor as soon as possible, for blood tests will remove all doubts. Good luck.

What causes a tingling sensation in the tongue that comes and goes?

It can be too much smoking or you may have a tooth that is irritating your tongue (jagged edge.) Sometimes if we are stressed out our taste buds (on the surface of the tongue) can have a pH level problem. It usually goes away so I wouldn't worry about it. If you haven't been to the dentist then go. If it continues please see your doctor.

How many miles is Pluto from Earth?

For 2012 and 2013, Pluto will be about 3.1 billion miles from Earth.

Pluto's average distance from the Sun is 39.4 AU. (An AU is an Astronomical Unit and is defined as the average distance between the center of the Earth and the center of the Sun.) One AU equals 92,955,807 million miles. But Pluto's distance from the Sun ranges from 29.7 to 49.3 AU. So, depending on the orbits of Pluto and Earth, the distance between the two could be anywhere from 28.7 AU (Earth directly between Pluto and Sun when Pluto is closest to the Sun) to 50.3 AU (Earth directly opposite the Sun from Pluto when Pluto is farthest from the Sun).

This represents a distance that varies from about 2.7 to 4.7 billion miles.

If you need to know the precise distance from Earth to any other celestial object at some particular moment in time, you can use the Stellarium planetarium program to calculate this. Stellarium is free open-source software available from www.stellarium.org.

As of January 13, 2011 at 10:16 PM PST, Pluto was 32.89406876 AU from the Earth, a number which is changing minute-by-minute as both planets follow their orbital paths around the Sun.

Is Pluto a planet?

Planetary Status

World astronomers have declared that Pluto is no longer a major planet under new guidelines. It is now considered a "dwarf planet".

History From its discovery in 1930 until 2006, Pluto was counted as the Solar System's ninth planet. In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, however, many objects similar to Pluto were discovered in the outer solar system, notably Eris, which is 27% more massive than Pluto.

On August 24, 2006 the International Astronomical Union(IAU) defined the term "planet" for the first time. This definition excluded Pluto, which the IAU reclassified as a member of the new category called dwarf planets along with Eris and Ceres. So now Pluto is just the second-largest known dwarf planet in the Solar System (after Eris).

IAU Decision (August 24, 2006)

According to the International Astronomical Union's 2006 redefinition of planet, there are three main conditions for an object to be called a 'planet'.

1. The object must be in orbit around the Sun.

2. The object must be massive enough to be a sphere by its own gravitational force. More specifically, its own gravity should pull it into a shape of hydrostatic equilibrium.

3. It must have cleared the neighborhood around its orbit. Pluto fails to meet the third condition.

The IAU further resolved that Pluto be classified in the simultaneously created dwarf planet category, and that it act as prototype for a yet-to-be-named category of trans-Neptunian objects, in which it would be separately, but concurrently, classified. Prior to this decision several other definitions had been proposed, some of which might have ruled out planetary status for Earth or Mercury or may have classified several of the asteroids as planets. This version was democratically chosen in a successful attempt at avoiding these non-traditional results.

What would cause blisters on both sides of a three-month old industrial piercing and how do you get rid of them?

Blisters on both sides of a three-month old industrial piercing could be due to infection, irritation, or contact dermatitis. To treat them, clean the area with saline solution twice a day, avoid touching the piercing with dirty hands, and follow any aftercare instructions recommended by your piercer. If the blisters do not improve or if there are signs of infection (such as increased pain, redness, or discharge), consult a healthcare professional.

How long would it take for a 15-year-old to lose 10 pounds?

diets are a process. the faster you loose the worse it is on your body, sudden weightloss is the loss of muscle along with fat and usually causes stretch marks, weakness and in the long run many diseases since the girl is 15 she is at major risk of damaging her body by eating an unhealthy and imbalanced diet at that crucial growing stage...crash diets are not the answer if she wants to keep them off. so she should eat a nutritional 2,500 calorie diet and the weight will come off and stay off.

How do you reset the heater and gas displays both went blank at same time on a 1990 Cadillac DeVille?

If the displays for the heater and gas went blank simultaneously, it is likely a fuse issue. Check the fuse box for any blown fuses related to the displays. Replace any blown fuses with ones of the same amperage to restore functionality. If the problem persists, it may be a wiring issue that requires professional inspection.

Your 93 trooper was driving fine but would lose power a bit on highway than it would stall when startingi'd pump the gas pedal but the engine would sputter than stall than next day start up normally?

Your fuel filter may be clogged and need to be replaced. You may also have a weak fuel pump or trash in the tank. The strainer on the fuel pump in the tank may be clogged( build up over years of use). That may be why it cranks fine the next day , the trash has settled back down to the bottom of the tank. I would like to add to this answer. My Trooper is a 1999 and was having a similar problem. It was like chasing a ghost. It would start cold every time but after it warmed up, I would have to press the accelerator to get it to start. The reason, I finally discovered, was because the fuel pressure regulator was bad. What I did was to run the car until it was warm then shut it off. Then go to the fuel pressure regulator and remove the vacuum line and check to see if there was fuel present in the line. If there is, the regulator is bad. In essence, what this does is to bleed fuel back into the combustion chamber after you shut off the engine therefore overloading it with fuel the next time that you start it. That's why you would have to pump the gas to clear it out when starting it warm. That fuel dissipates over time which is why its fine in the morning. GOOD LUCK.

How long does it take to get pregnant after being on oral contraceptives for one full year?

How long would it take to lose 28lbs by not eating?

Not eating will not cause you to lose weight as quickly as you would like. Unfortunately our bodies are programmed to "feast or famine" from the time we were cavemen. If you suddenly stop eating all together, your body instinctively "thinks" there is a famine on and it needs to retain as much fat as it can. The best way to lose weight is to eat LESS food. Halve your normal meal sizes and make sure they are healthy meals. Cut out your sugar and fats and try to eat less refined carbs such as white rice, white bread and potatoes. Eating brown rice, brown bread and sweet potato instead will mean you feel "full" for longer. You also need to exercise to burn up the food you are eating. If you exercise, your body will use up the food you have just eaten, then start in on your "stored" fat. A normal weight loss routine should see you lose 2-3lbs per week.

How long will it take to lose 1 pound by walking on a treadmill at a speed of 3.0?

Not knowing your weight and general physical condition, below is the approximate calories in a pound of fat, you figure out how many calories you're burning based on your activity level and condition: One ounce = 31.103477 grams One gram of fat = 9 calories One OUNCE of fat = 279.9 calories one pound = 16 ounces So 1 POUND of fat = 4478.4 calories. Find out how much time it takes to burn that by calculating your calorie levels based on you fitness, weight and the activity.

I just bought a 1991 s10 w 2.5l and 5speed manual it has 145000 is there any important maintenance like timing chain or fluids like clutch or manual trans any other concerns I should look into?

For your 1991 S10 with the 2.5L engine and manual transmission, it's important to check the timing chain for wear and proper tension. Additionally, ensure that the clutch fluid is topped up and that the clutch itself is in good condition. Regularly check and change the transmission fluid to maintain smooth operation. Keep an eye on suspension components and cooling system hoses for signs of wear as well.

Which way do you thighten the tension bolt clockwise or counter clockwise on a 1991 acura integra?

To tighten the tension bolt on a 1991 Acura Integra, turn it clockwise. This will help apply tension to the belt and ensure it stays in place properly. Be sure to consult your vehicle's manual for specific instructions and torque specifications.

Is it a fact that the weight of the earth is zero?

It better to ask "what is the mass of planet earth?" Approx. 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. The measurement of the planet's weight is derived from gravitational attraction that the Earth has for objects near it. Any two masses have a gravitational attraction for one another. The attraction however is extremely slight. From the measurement you this attraction of the two planets you can determine the mass of the two objects.

Newton showed that, for spherical objects, you can make the simplifying assumption that all of the object's mass is concentrated at the center of the sphere. The following equation expresses the gravitational attraction that 2 spherical object have on one another: F=G*M1*M2/R2.

R is the distance separating the 2 objectsG is a contant that is 6.67259x10(11)M(3/s2 kg.M1 & M2 are the 2 masses that are attracting each otherF is the force of attraction between them

The radius of the Earth is 6,400,000 meters (6.999,125 yards).

2002 accent 16 DOHC What direction remove crank pully bolt clockwise or counter clockwise?

To remove the crank pulley bolt on a 2002 Accent 1.6 DOHC engine, turn it counter-clockwise. It is a right-hand thread, so apply force in the opposite direction of normal turning. Use a breaker bar or impact wrench for better leverage.

How do replace the serpentine belt you don't know what they mean when they say rotate counter clockwise how do you rotate it?

Rotate means to turn. Counterclockwise=Opposite direction a clock turns. They are probably talking about rotating it on the pulley in order for it to mate correctly. Just put it back on exactly as the diagram shows. Inspect the idler to see if it is good. If not replace it.
