How do you change a headlite bulb on a 2005 Nissan altima?
first you have to remove the windshield wiper fluid tank. This is not hard there are only two screws. Also the tube you use to fill the tank can be taken out by twisting the tube and pulling up.
On the other side you will need to remove the air filter box and connected parts. This is also not that hard you unscrew one screw and pull it out. You will feel resistance but its just a snap in box. To take the air filter out pop the two clips on the side of the box and pull the top off take the filter out and place it on the side. Then you can pop off the four plastic clips holding the plastic routing tube the takes the air from the radiator and routes it to the air filter. Use a flat head screw driver for this.
Once all of those parts are removed you will have access to both headlight assemblies. Remove the plastic round cover that blocks out moisture from the lamps and you will see the old lamp just study it and put the new one in the same way. Make sure the grounding plate doesn't rest on the hot lead once you replace the lamp or you will be replacing fuses too!
Class dismissed!
Clear the code for dpfe sensor on 2001 ford escape after new sensor is installed.?
The only way to clear any emission code on an OBD II vehicle is with a scanner. Disconnecting the battery won't do it. An OBD II vehicle is any vehicle sold new in the US after 1996.
What is bolt pattern for 2008 Ford Escape?
I'm no expert, but the info I have forund says 5x114.3.
Here is a link that may help:

I am assuming your truck doesn't have front manual locking hubs, since most of the 1/2 ton class of trucks made today buy the most popular manufactures-Ford,Chevy,GMC,Dodge Etc... do not have Manual locking front hubs to engage your front axles like in the past older versions of 4x4 trucks. Some of the larger rated 4x4 trucks 2500,F250 Etc...and up can still use manual locking hubs. This Explains Manual front locking hubs-they are just like it says-you personally have to manually go to the front axle hub and turn the selector from the free position to the lock position 4x4 then when you are driving you select 4 wheel drive from your cab usually a selector lever or push button then the front wheels are given power by the transfer case-which is 4 wheel drive.
With the new series of 4x4 trucks they do not have manually locking hubs on the front axles no more. They are direct coupled to the front drive axles which go into the front differential housing then routed to the front drive shaft then to the transfer case. Your front axles and differential, front drive shaft turns when your truck is in motion frontwards or in reverse its a constant. You have control to engage your truck in 4 wheel drive by your selector usually a button you push on your dash or a manual lever coming up from the floor. So when you assume your in 2 wheel drive the only wheels with power is the rear which is correct BUT the front wheels and its connecting partners are still turning even though they are just rotating freely for the ride.
Otherwise with MANUAL LOCKING hubs you could push your button or pull your lever to engage your 4 wheel drive and the dash light 4x4 indicator may be on but the rear wheels will only have power --unless you stop your truck and manually go and turn the manual locking hub to the lock position on your front axles. The down side people may have with the inconvience of manual locking hubs you have to get out and turn them in yourself when the weather may be worsening or turn them in and let then in at your leisure,The up side is when they are set to FREE--the only thing turning is just your wheels and tires-the axles and front differential and the front drive shaft DOSEN'T turn-which can save you fuel, wear and tear on these critical componets, less maintenance on the componets of your front end.The down side of having the front axles and differential and drive shaft it does rob you of some fuel mileage and it does wear these componets out faster. The UP side is when you need 4 wheel drive all you do is push your button or pull your manual lever and you have it.Hope you find this helpful--God Bless.
What could cause a car to shudder upon acceleration?
I have not had experience with fuel injected vehicles, assuming yours is, but I have experienced such a thing on many occasions with carburated vehicles. On such, plugged jets in the carburetor actually cause the vehicle to shudder when under load. If the vehicle is fuel injected and hasen't been serviced recently you may want to have this checked out.
Another AnswerIf an automatic vehicle and feels like you're driving over a cattle guard, good chance it's the torque converter that's going out. If so, it doesn't happen so much if you take off from a stop and continue a constant and somewhat aggressive acceleration. It also happens every time if going through a school zone at 35ish for a while, then trying to speed up. That's a torque converter unable to lock up. When you feel it, back off the gas! If that torque converter does come apart inside, your car is going nowhere. How do you remove the oil plug on a 1995 Mercury Tracer?
If you mean - "where is it", follow the dip stick down to the bottom of the engine and detremine which pan it goes to (this will be the oil pan). Find the plug on that pan. If you mean - "how do I remove a plug that is stuck and won't come out with a socket or closed end wrench", I would offer two options: (1) vice grips, if the problem is that the hex bolt has rounded corners. (2) drill through the center of the bolt with increasingly larger diameter drill bits until you approach the threads. Then use pliers/vice grips to turn the bolt if possible, or, simply crush the remaining bolt material and work it out of the pan. In either case, replace the bolt and don't overtighten. In an extreme case, it may be necessary to remove the oil pan to work on the oil plug.
What is the proper spark plug gap for a 1994 Mitsubishi mirage?
The proper spark plug gap for a 1994 Mitsubishi Mirage is .030 thousandths of an inch. The Mirage has a 1.5L engine.
With these madern engine, everything is computer controlled. Your best bet is to get it to a competent mechanic. It'll will save you from buying parts you don't need while someone tries to "guess" what's wrong with your engine over the internet. Nice car. We are on our 2nd Escape and will probably buy another when we're ready.
Where is the rear hatch sensor located on a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder?
Test the theory by applying pressure to the outside of the hatch back lock. If there's a short circuit, often the extra pressure will close the open circuit. Also try adjusting the hatch lock striker hook backward and forward to adjust closure tightness (12mm socket and three bolts to loosen/tighten).
To fix the problem permanently (without major hassles), try the following:
1. Remove rear hatch panel -- Two plastic screw fasteners, the rest are simple panel pop rivots. You may need to remove the two screws securing the window release lock plastic cover, too.
2. With the interior hatch panel removed, close the hatch.
3. Open the rear window.
4. Standing at the rear driver's side of the hatch, fish your left hand through to the back of the hatch lock mounting plate.
5. Locate the pigtail connection attached to the mounting plate: One ground (wire) connected to the mounting plate, the other (red w/stripe) connected to a wire connector just fore of the locking mechanism.
6. Disconnect the pigtail.
7. Tape off the open pigtail and secure to prevent rattling.
8. Reassemble hatch panel.
This should not affect the rear hatch power lock, rear window release, rear wiper, rear defogger or Tire Carrier Ajar sensor. It's simply a way to disable the 5th and only unseen "Door Ajar" sensor which could short and cause such a problem.
Food for thought.
Notes:
1. This was the solution for the floor lighting frequently staying illuminated when all doors were clearly closed on a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder.
2. The pigtail mentioned in the solution is about 6" to 8" from the latch mechanism. Mine was covered in gray foam to minimize rattle noise and was somewhat hard to see inside the dark rear hatch door area. It was also against the "inside" side of the sheet metal. I'm telling you this because I was about to Cut the Red/White wire and make a new ground by attaching it the metal on the door with a self tapping screw and new wire terminal end. I'm never in favor of cutting any factory wiring when you can disconnect a harness. There are lot of reasons why cutting is not the best option if you have another option to choose from.
3. The existence of this problem was discovered because the alarm system was going off during all hours of the day and night. It turns out that the alarm sounding problem happens to 1987 to 1995 Nissan Pathfinders when the battery is discharged

How long does it take car to breakdown if someone puts water in the gas tank?
The water drops to the bottom of the tank immediately, so you may drive a mile or so before you have trouble. This would also depend on how much water was poured in.
ANS2:My car got hit in the rear end and it folded the trunk lid into a funnel that filled my gas tank with water. Overnight, the water froze and I was able to drive the car for at least 34 miles the next morning. If you fill your tank with ethanol, you can run the car on around a 80% mix of alcohol and 20% water. It isn't going to give you good performance but it will run.
What sensors effect gas milage in a 2002 3.0l ford escape engine?
THE no. 1 sensor to affect are the oxygen sensors. They heat up to be able to take proper readings just after the catalytic converters. If they are out of calibration , just not working, or your cats are clogged, they will run in a "looped circuit" and give horrible mileage because of the bad readings. This is a major circuit for fuel/air mixture. You can only imagine ....

How do you change-replace the fog light bulb on a 1994 SAAB 900 S?
The first step is to take out the headlight for easier access. Then you have to take off the very bottom most plastic under bumpuer peice. From their you take out the two bolts located on the top of the light and then there is one under the light. Then you take the screw out of the round peice on the light where you will find the light bulp that just snaps in and out.

How do you change a tail light bulb in a 2001 Acura TL?
It's not as easy as it should be. This is how I did it. Pop the trunk lid. You will see one or more black knobs in the area of the tail light assembly holding the interior surface. Unscrew the knob closest to the tail light assembly. You will see also a plastic strip running along the latch sill. It is held in place by four plastic screws. These work like anchor screws for drywall. First unscrew the screw and then pop out the screw housing. I removed all four. You might get by by removing the two closest to the tail light.
Pull the interior wall away from the tail light assembly. There will not be a lot of room and you want to pull the interior away just enough to get your hand behind it. Locate the blown bulb/s and twist the bulb holder. It will come free with the bulb. The bulbs are friction fitted, just pull out of the fixture.
Assembly is the reverse of this.
