Check the daytime running lights module. This item was defective in some vehicles in the early 90's, and when it failed the result was lights that would not turn off or they would be very dim when the vehicle was running. You can check for recalls at the dealer.

This is a common problem with disk brakes. Give it some mileage and 9 times out of ten it goes away. If not you could trying lubing the rear of the pads and the slide pins so make sure that they are releasing easier. This usually takes care of it. There is a grease that is used for just this thing available at any auto store. Good luck.

2nd answer: Yes, BUT, your engine will run hotter. Reason, the thermostat helps to slow the flow of coolant and therefor give it a chance to actually cool in the rad. thus letting the engine run cooler.

Put it in neutral by moving the gear selector forward one click. Crank the key to start the engine. Put it back into drive. If done correctly this can be achieved without stopping. DO NOT PUT YOUR CAR IN ANY OTHER GEAR THAN NEUTRAL WHILE MOVING.

A Ford Tempo will have no brake lights if the bulb has blown or the wires have come loose. Alternatively, the brake sensor in the dash can fail and stop sending power to the lights.

The car needs a tune-up, or the motor mount(s) are bad.

first of all before you cut any wires or plugs....aftermarket alternators are just to push more current to your battery. it should hook up the same unless u have the wrong alternator for your car...also if there is an extra wire try running it to your distributer cap but only if ur running an aftermarket cap as well preferably and msd power cap...the only real use for a better alternator is if u want to do competition level sound or racething with msd ignitions wires.. etc but other then that u shouldn't need one.

The front wheel bearing need to be pressed by a press. Unless you have a press, I suggest you take it to a shop that has one and have them do it.

The bearings can be found at autozone, or advance auto cheaper than any garage can find them for.

The steering knuckle is the irregularly shaped solid piece of steel behind the front wheel. If you take away the wheel, brake calliper, disc, tie rod end, strut, sway bar, control arm and drive axle what's left is the steering knuckle. The steering knuckle should contain a bearing or set of bearings that are usually pressed in at a machine shop or garage.

On Fords, they are usually behind the passenger side kick panel. Sometimes called an inertia switch.

The timing marks are located on the flywheel and are visible through the access hole in the transaxle case. On manual transmission vehicles, the timing cover plate must be removed in order to view the timing marks and adjust the timing.

Felpro makes an excellent retrofit gasket for this application. Follow the provided instructions, but also use a thin coat of High Temperature RTV on both sides of the gasket prior to assembly to maximize sealing. Valve cover and head surface must be clean and grease free, and the cover must bolted down before the RTV sets to seal properly. Replacement is a simple bolt off/on operation and shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to do.

Air in the system

If you have replaced the master, you have to bench bleed it first to get the air out. That done, master bolted on, you will then have to bleed the 4 wheels, till all the air is out. If you need more info, send me a msg. and I will go thru all the steps.

Headlights don't work on 90 tempo L, fuses are all good.Filements are also all good in headlights. New headlight also does not work...

I have a 1992 Tempo that was stalling all the time after it warmed up. I found out there was a class-action lawsuit against Ford for defective design/location of the TFI modules because they malfunction when they get hot. By court order, Ford extended the warranty on these TFI modules to 100,000 miles, regardless of age or resale. My local Ford Dealer ordered a replacement from the Obsolete Parts department at Ford and installed it all at no charge. Be sure to have the car warmed up, running at idle, in park when you check the automatic transmission fluid.

Find the blower and locate the electrical connector on it. Using a common volt meter, check the wires for voltage and play with the switches inside the vehicle.....Good voltage usually means a bad blower. No voltage means you need to find another problem. You did check the fuzes first, didn't you? :)
