Your mechanic could not remove the the wheel bearing from your 92 Toyota Previa he used a specialized tool but said the axle was stuck and would not come out what can be done?

Try a different mechanic-- seriously. Everything *will* come out with the right technique.

hi- this sounds like it might be a rear wheel with disc brakes. If this is the case then there are also a set of drum brake shoes for the hand operated parking brakes, which probably need to be backed of with the brake adjusters. Also will need to remove the drum brakes and four bolts that hold it all together.

How do you install a coolant bypass hose on a 1992 Volkswagen Jetta 18L with air and manual transmission?

How can you test a fuel pump for your 2001 KIA sportage when suspect the connecter or wirering may be the problem?

One thing that may help is to check the ground on the fuel pump, the bolts get rusted and the pump will not work properly or not work at all. To find the fuel pump, just lift the rear seats (before this you have to move your front buckets all the way to towards the windshield) , there is a square piece of carpet under the seat that when lifted shows a black metal top with 4 bolts, one of them has a wire , this is the ground for the fuel pump. Check if the bolt and metal underneath is rusted, if it is, just sanded or scrape it with a screw driver as you would with your battery terminals so they allow the electric flow again and try to start again , they may solve your problem.

Why would a 1994 Chrysler Town and Country crank but not start?

I have a 1994 also, and mine did that all the time. It acting like it wanted to crank, but wouldn't catch. Turned out to be the fuel sensor. It was giving a false reading that the van was out of gas, therefore the fuel pump never kicked on. I got the sensor fixed and haven't had the problem since. Good luck!

I have a 1993 T&C, I had that happen to me once and tried every option I could to repair it with no success. I decided to try and put a new battery in thinking that maybe there wasn't enough voltage holding in it to feed the electronic fuel pump. As I pulled the battery, I noticed a wiring harness under the battery with a wire that was pinched and cut through. I pieced the wire back together and hit the key and the car started. I then went to a boneyard and pulled one out of a junk T&C and replaced the one that was faulty. The car has run since and now has 231,000 miles on it. Hope this helps.

Why would a 1996 Ford Windstar have a squeaking noise from the front end when turning?

It usually indicates warn tie rod ends. My 98 was doing that same thing. They can't be greased, only replaced. My 2000 squeaked when I turned. The power steering fluid had become as thick as glue. Cost me $300 to clean it out. Apparently they produce a lot of heat and cook the stuff. I now change it once a year. BTW-transmission fluid gets thick faster on these too. The squeak you describe could be another expression of the same issue addressed here http://www.cartrackers.com/Forums/live/fordwindstar/1892.html where the upper strut mount gets a spacer per a ford recall, or just a complete replacement (due to wear). Enjoy, Ben you can make a small hole with a screw drive pick and put some tri flow i had the same problem and since then stop... My '98 had the same issue on the right front wheel (passenger) when turning to the left. There is a flat plastic panel attached to the suspension rail. It bends down toward the wheel with use...probably due to heat. when the panel touches the wheel during a left turn, then you get an ungodly noise coming from that side which gives you the impression there is a steering issue. There is no steering issue...just that plastic panel. take it off and throw it away or replace it with a new straignt one. or just heat bend it back into shape with a torch. I did this last year and it was fine for a year and am doing it again today.

What can you do to stop car paint from peeling?

The best way to prevent peeling is to regularly wash and wax your vehicle.

When you see dirt clinging to painted areas, that means all sorts of nasty stuff like pollution from exhaust (washed out of the air/off from road surfaces by rain) and salts from the roadway, et cetera are clinging to (and doubtlessly harming) your paint at the same time. Waxing helps keep a barrier between your expensive paint job and harmful substances.

What does it mean when your ford wind star makes a clicking noise when you go to start it?

It means your sulinoid is bad. Is part is sometimes built in the starter or separate under the hood. Likely under the hood, mounted to the passenger side wheel well somewhere. Sometimes it will do this because of corrosion on the battery. Or a bad starter. You can try tapping the sulinoid or starter temporarily but it won't work for long.
