How do you install an engine block heater 2004 Chevy trail blazer V6-4.2L?
First check and see if there is a pouch located directly beside your battery. If there is a pouch it will contain a plug that is for the factory engine block heater. If there is no plug then you can pursue an aftermarket type. There are several types. If you want to use a freeze plug block heater, you'll need to have someone help you remove a freeze plug. That usually requires that you remove a lot of the peripheral equipment until you can get a clear access to one of the freeze plugs. Measure the freeze plug then go to an auto parts store and purchase a freeze plug block heater of that specific size. Once you have one that will fit into the hole, you can drill a hole in the freeze plug, then use a prying instrument to remove the old freeze plug. The block heater freeze plug usually goes in with a nut to tighten the freeze plug into the hole. BTW, you'll get a lot of antifreeze all over when you do this, and plan on taking your time since it will be time consuming.

Is it normal for a 1996 Saturn SL1 to only have 17 pounds of manifold vacuum?
according to my service manual, the manifold vaccum should be like this:
Intake Manifold Vacuum (no load) --- 51 - 21hg at idle
Air Inlet restriction (no load) Between air filter and Throttle body 20hg at 4000rpm.
51 - 21hg roughly relates to 25 -10 psi
I also found this:
Crankcase Pressure/vacuum -- No load positive pressure
standard 4in H2O at 4000rpm
Service limit 10in H20 at 4000rpm
never knew you would need a water scale to diagnose a car :(
... its all the information i could find
Just to add an important note.....vacuum will only be measuring in inches of water column....you will NEVER see vacuum measured in pounds for a car. This may be helpful to you if you are looking for a vacuum gauge and none of them use a pound scale. (It will also help when explaining your problem to a mechanic)
Where can you find an exploded view of the engine in a 1999 Chevy blazer?
any of the DIY auto repair manuals will usually show an exploded view of the engine.
How can you find out the horse power of the engine?
Need to know yr/make/model of the engine and then it could be looked up. Due to wear and tare, a more accurate way is to bring it to a chassis dyno and find out what it is putting to the ground now. Most cars rated from the factory with the same power, actual don't put the same amount of power to the tires.
What would cause the engine to rock while idling and when it gets to between 55 and 65 MPH?
motor mount? I suspect you have a broken motor mount.
An ignition miss would occure at those times. Especially at 50-55 mph, I would suspect secondary ignition components... Plugs, wires, etc...
What causes banging engine noise when accelerating?
The most probable cause is poor fuel or water in your fuel. This could also be due to the timing being out of proper adjustment.

How can you tell when your engine is gone?
high mileage 100k-200k or more, smoke could also be an indicator but not for sure.its some times cheaper and makes more sense to have an engine replaced with a low mileage engine.instead of continually dumping money into your engine and the incovience of break down.
What are the symptoms of a bad closed position sensor?
You have to describe better which sensor you mean.
The oil pressure is low. Drop the pan and replace the oil pump. The screen on the pickup could be sludged up, indicating poor service habits. VWs will sludge up if you neglect to change the oil at the intervals recommended. VW will generally not honor any warrantee in this case.

Where do you find the bank 2 sensor 1 on a 1997 Ford Taurus with a 3.0 liter overhead valve engine?
It is in the exhaust pipe nearest the front. If you jack the car up it can be found by looking just behind the plastic underbody shield that extends back from the bumper and looking up along the exhaust pipe. It will require a 7/8 wrench. The connector is located up at the top just below and to the left of the fuse box. Be glad it isn't bank 1. That sensor is between the engine and the firewall on the pasenger side and is almost impossible to see let alone replace.
