How do you remove a Geo Metro transmission without an engine hoist?
the only way i can see you could is if you take each individual piece off but that would be really time comsuming provided it could be done. Your best bet would be to see if you can find someone who has an engine hoist you can borrow or for sale, perhaps try Craigslist, you can find many things there and even barter if you need to, sometimes you may get lucky enought to find one for free but a hoist......... I doubt that. or you could go rent one at a rental place, it would cost but at least you have the hole thing up on the hoist which makes it mutch easier to work on. The hoist is the best way to go for removing a transmission. good luck.

Where is the transmission dipstick located on a 1996 Geo Metro?

Is their two flasher relays on a 1990 Geo metro if so where is the one for the turn singal?
Answer---- On most cars there are two flashers. They are usually in or near your fusebox. Just use the process of elimination to determine which is which. One is for the turn signals and the other is for your emergency flashers. If your turn signals are not working, try your flashers. If they work, the problem is most likely the turn signal relay. Just put your finger on one and if you can't feel it clicking, it's most likely bad. They're usually round and silver in color and are light aluminum in composition.
What is cause of rough engine idle?
A bad spark plug, a bad spark plug wire, a bad distributor cap, a bad rotor, a bad fuel injector, the firing order is mixed up, a bad valve or a vacuum leak could cause your rough idle.
How do you change driver side headlight on a 95 Geo Metro?
just take a quick look to the front of the battery, and you should see a little plug right behind the headlamp; this is where your headlamp's bulb is located, it pops right out if you move the battery aside a bit and wiggle out the bulb. it's much easier to do it this way than to remove the plastic casing from the outside of the lamp (i spent a good hour or two trying this, never got it out that way!!)
Can you put a 14 inch tire and wheel on a 1994 Geo metro?
yes.... 195 60R14 or 185 65R14 or 165 70R14
Code 46 is the trouble code for the Idle Speed Controller which is that big black box thingy on your throttle body. A lot of Chilton-type manual books omit that code because the ISC isn't found on pre 94 Metros. The ISC is a computer controlled auto-adjuster for the engine idle. An important note: code 46 is often caused by misadjusted distributor timing. As you probably know, timing affects the idle, and if improper timing moves the idle beyond the ISC's adjustment range, the check engine light will come on and diagnostics will return code 46.
Why does your 93 geo metro air conditioner fuse keep blowing?
If the air conditioner fuse keeps blowing out on a 1993 Geo Metro, one possibility for this is that the serpentine belt is too tight. The motor for the air conditioner is not turning as freely as it should. The blower motor resistor could also be bad which taxes the air conditioner pump.
Where is the relay for the fuel pump on a 1994 Geo Metro?
I'm not absolutely positive, but I think it's in the fusebox under the hood. It should be labeled if it is.
I had a problem where the end of my key 'fell off' inside the ignition. I'm not sure how this happened, but it did and the ignition was rendered useless. As far as I know, you cannot actually change the cylinder inside the ignition. I settled for removing the entire unit. The rivets you mentioned are not actually rivets, but bolts without the hex head, presumably that way for theft prevention. If you're desperate you can take a dremel tool with a cutting wheel and either make a slice on one of the bolt heads so that you can use a screwdriver to remove it, or cut the strap holding it to the steering column - it's probably an easy replacement.
You could have and electrical shortage in your wiring somewhere in your vehicle.

What causes a 1994 Geo Metro engine to stall when the AC compressor cycles on?
Maybe you just need a tune-up. If that doesn't work, make sure the a/c clutch is actually working and not froze up. If it's not spinning and is locked up, it could cause a load on the engine and stop it.

Where is the sand key in Geo Land The Dream Traveller?
In Bhava remains there is a chest that you can't reach in the begin.
After you beat the big monster in Bhava remains, you will be able to reach the chest where you will find the sand key.
(Or you also first had to beat the bos at Bhava hideout, I'm not sure about that)
Good luck.
1996 geo metro lsi will shift to 1st and 2nd but not to 3rd it is a automatic?
this could be a transimision sensor. Make sure your tranny fluid is full while it is running. A would recommend a product called lucas transmision. It revives trannys. Make sure you pull out tranny fluid, then replace with lucas so you do not overfill your transmission
I changed the water pump and now I cant get the timing set on 91 Geo Metro?
use 17 mm wrench to put crankshaft at top dead center, of course you have to remove belt pully and timing cover, there is a dot stamp into the bottom timing belt pully, and there is a projection that also lines up with the dot. and if you observe the area directly above the crankshaft timing gear of pully , there is a vertical projection that is about a 1/2 in long line up the dot or projection with the line.
Second there is a indent in the top of the camshaft[timing cover and you should notive a line or something on the camshaft gear it needs to line up with the indent on the timing cover. When you have both lined up, make sure the idler pulley is loose. put timing belt on and tighten belt with the idler , belt go to the left of the pulley. there should be a spring tensioner with a long 10mm wrench size , loosen bolt on pulley and tighten belt and recheck you timing marks so that they are in time. use 17mm wrench to turn over by hand to make sure everything turns ok . replace timing cover and install crank pulley and water pump pulley and water pump belt first and then air conditiloning comp. belt.
PS I have found it easier to work on it i put a floor jack under oil pan and then remove the two bolts that are the passenger side front motor mount , so you can get to the bolts in the crank pulley and the timing cover from under neath.
Also it is a lot easier to work on the car it you jack up the front and put jack stands under the body just behind the front wheels. I know i own 3 geos and
have been working on them for 4 years. Larry Stephen Adrian Oregon
