The easiest way is to purchase an o2 socket from your locar parts store. Then you unplug the connector, put the socket on it and turn it counter clockwise to loosen it. Be sure to ask if the new one has anti-seize compound on it and if not, put some on it before installing it. That way if you ever have to do it again, it'll come out a lot easier.

The Prizm originally came in three trim levels Base, LSi and the short lived GSi. The LSi version came with more standard equipment than the bast model it also had colored bumpers instead of the black ones the base model offered. The GSi model was pure sport oriented it offered a beefed up suspension, four wheel disc brakes, alloy wheels, rear spoiler, red decal graphics, sport steering wheel, optional four speed automatic not available on the base model and the engine had a lot more grunt than the base model 130hp vs 102. The GSi model is very rare and was only produced from 1990-1992.

Not without major modifications. Totally different engines, as the Geo engine is a Toyota.

If You Are Asking What Brand, That Is Up To You. The Viscosity Weight, A Good 10 W 40, Would Be Just Fine For The Engine.

If a shop did it probably about 3 to 4 hours. I have not done this yet but I recently changed the water pump on a 1994 1.6L Prizm. It took me 5 to 6 hours. The steps are similar (lots of stuff to take off) but to change the timing belt you will need to remove the crankshaft pulley and lower timing belt cover. The hardest part might be getting the pulley off since you may need to take off the tire and go through the wheel well. I may do this in the future. For me it will probably take 6 to 7 hours.

I think just 14 in. That's what the factory ones are, i don't know if you can go bigger.

Either jack the car up and put it on jack-stands or pull it up on a set of ramps. On the lower front side of the transmission there is a plug. Remove it. If fluid runs out, you are okay. If not, you need to take a syringe or something similar and add fluid until it starts to come back out. It's now full and you re-install the plug.

As yet there does not appear to be an international standard for dashboard symbols. The best source of information for the symbols used in this vehicle would be the owners manual, failing that an email to the motor vehicle manufacturer may be warranted.

I have a 93 but believe it would be the same. Under your back seat you should find a cover bolted down with 4 screws and some wires going through it. Remove the screws and lift up the cover and you will have access to the fuel pump assembly. Disconnect the wires from the assembly. Depressurize the fuel system by cranking the engine over and loosen you fuel cap on the fuel tank. Disconnect the fuel hoses. Remove the screws holding down the fuel pump assembly - being careful not to break or drop any of the screws. Carefully lift the assembly up (be sure not to drop any dirt in the tank). Now, if you are replacing the whole assembly, just follow the process backwards to install. If you are replacing just the pump motor, you will have to remove the motor from the assembly and replace it with the new one (you will probably want to replace the filter also attached to the motor also).

I would check the fuel filter first (could be clogged), If ok then check out the fuel pump (may be producing enough pressure at idle but not during acceleration).

In my 1995 Prizm, just pop the hood, and the washer fluid tank was to the upper right. Pop the top on it, and fill to 'full' line.

You can obtain a full list of computer troubleshooting codes from most General Motors dealerships. You can also obtain the codes from a certified mechanic.

Get under car near the rear wheels and you will see a cable coming from each wheel; this is your E-brake cable. Gently tap the pivot points and you should be able to free it up unless you are dealing with a rusted cable. Once you free it up, spray a lubricant at the points of the problem. 50,000-60,000 miles. Whoever changes the timing belt, recommend buy the kit (not just the belt) and be careful to keep timing marks aligned.

Disconnect your ground cable from the battery,get under the car, remove the wires from the starter and remove the two bolts holding it in. One bolt can be accessed from the top and screws into the engine. It's much easier to reach if you remove the air cleaner and air cleaner tubing. The other must be reached from under the car and bolts into the transmission. You will need about two feet of extensions.

Trying to list the steps here would totally explaing the process. Your better off if you just buy the Haynes repair manual for that vehicle. It has more pictures words for this procedure. Good luck!
