Why would a heater fan only work on high in a 1999 Mercury Mystique?

On the Mercury like a lot of other cars, what happens is the relay for the fan control goes bad, somtimes you may just have low and high no medium but a lot of the time you just get high speed, thie is also very common on a lot of GM's. There is a resistor pack located on the heater core housing just below the glove box. When this goes bad, the fan will only function on high. It's an easy repair. Just one screw and an electrical cnnection. it is called a blow motor resistor it cost about 20 bucks from the dealer itis easy to install just one screw and a plug

Where are the headlight adjustment screws on a 2000 Celica gt?

Well, as far as I remember, the adjustment screws are where they always are on a Celica, which is next to the light itself on the top and the side of each light. You may not be able to easily see them for the trim around the light. they are often lead colored. The single side screw and single top screw have a spring loaded mechanism which maintains the pressure when you screw them in or out on a pivot (like opening or closing a door)to adjust the angle, which is up/down or left/right. Just remember to be cool and adjust the lights (on low-beam) to "level" or lower and do it at night. It helps to park in front of a wall or garage door if your driveway is LEVEL. If you get them too high, it may be illegal in your area (= ticket) or you will constantly suffer people "brighting" you in protest! Hope this helps, Taylor

Why might a '99 Grand Prix GTP misfire intermittently?

Hey George==A lot of times it is the injectors. Put some injector cleaner in the tank. also try spraying the plug wires and coils with WD40 with the engine not running. GoodluckJoe

AnswerA common problem for forced iduction engines is a fluxuation in combustion chamber environment. This includes mixture ratio, the degree of atomization of the fuel in suspension, heat and pressure. The bottom line is... change your spark plugs. I highly recommend NGK Iridium, especially if you are running a smaller pulley on you supercharger. They are very expensive, but worth it. I actually tried Bosch platinum and lost performance. If you have access to an Autotap or another scan tool, you an see which cylinders are misfiring. If you get a check engine light, the codes will tell you as well as long as the misfire set the code. AnswerIf your acceleration is weak and sluggish at times I would also check the catalytic converter. It can cause the engine to spit out misfire codes if the vaccuum is not right and it has to rev the motor to high to make it shift. As far as the spark plugs I agree with the NGK Iridiums, my Grand Prix GT has a very noticeable difference in power.

I agree with both and ig none of them are the problem check the egr valve. Mine was doing the same thing and putting up the 1404 code which is a misfire code. Good luck hope it helps.

Where can you find Detailed Instructions on the internet on installing a performance air intake system on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT2?

It depends on how much modifying you need/want to do. To put a cold air intake on, it is (supposed to be) a "bolt-on" part, so the instructions that come with the part should suffice. Essentially, simply looking at how the cold air intake will attach will tell you what needs to be removed. "Bolt-on" literally means once you have removed everything it replaces, just bolt it on. Some might suggest that you change you mass-airflow sensor too. I have not researched the original equipment compared to what's available. Still others might suggest upgrading your throttle body (intake?) but again, I would research the effect this will have on power and fuel economy before attempting this. Doing all three would result in some significant improvements in horsepower (I am not sure whether fuel economy would also be preserved or improved with each). If you do all three, you may as well get some performance mufflers, and maybe pipes too (again, if the stock pipes don't provide enough flow as is). Each modification costs more or less than $300, so you do the math, $300, $600, $900, $1200 and eat my dust! I just installed a K & N Air Filter, while I research all of the above to see what the best fuel economy result is. Of course, having it haul astronimically quickly is cool too!!!

How do you fix the windshield wipers on a 1996 Nissan Sentra when only the intermittent setting won't work but the other wiper speeds work fine?

it seems to me that you are having issues with the body control module as this module controls your intermittent wiper speed and the rest of the speeds are controlled directly by the wiper switch . regards , ashish

How do you manually close the sunroof on a 1998 Grand Prix GTP?

The motor for the sunroof is located under the ceiling panel between the sunroof and the overhead map lights. The motor has a manual override that you can turn with a "star" wrench. Mine had a red plastic collar, the "star" wrench female end was in the center of the red plastic collar. Gaining access to the manual override required either the removal of the interior ceiling panel or cutting a small hole and pushing the wrench through. Make sure the wrench is the right size and turn in either direction until it goes the direction you are looking for.

Windshield wipers will not shut off 1999 Isuzu trooper?

You have to replace a relay switch for the wipers this sholud be found under the hood in the engine compartment fuse box.

Why might the windshield wipers in a 1993 Chevy Suburban not work?

There are a number of possibilities. Wiper motors often fail and you'll get nothing. Check to see if power is getting to the motor when you turn on the switch. Understand that there are two wires that go to the wiper that can have power. One is powered any time the keyswitch is on, the other only gets power when the wiper switch is on. If both are working right, it just about has to be the motor. There may be cracked solder joints in the wiper motor/controller assembly. this was a common problem recalled by GM. If you remove the cover from the wiper motor (no need to dismount the motor from the vehicle) you will see a circuit card. Check all the solder joints for cracks, parcticularly those on the connector for the wiring. The cracked joints can easily be repaired with a soldering iron.

How do I remove the back speaker covers on a 2001 Grand Prix GT?

okay, here's how it goes, i did this 3 days ago.

first you need to remove the butt part of the seat.

in order to do that you must look under the front rim of the seat for a couple of black pull tabs. pull on the tabs gently and lift the butt seat thing and it will pop up, but make sure that you don't press down on it again or it will lock back into place.

next you will have to remove the butt seat from the car, and under it you will find like 4 bolts, two are attached to the seat belt holders and the other two are kinda hidden by the bottom part of the fabric, remove those, and you might need to beat up the seat belt holder a little to get it to move.

after removing the bolts you need to lift that back seat off, to do this you need to lift up and out wiggling it the whole time, make sure you don't try too hard as you don't want to break anything.

after you get that off there are two black tabs that are holding that carpeted rear deck thing down. use a flathead (in my case two flathead) screwdrivers to pry them out, and then you're gonna need to wiggle that deck out also.

the speakers are head in by 4 bolts each and are decently hard to get to if you don't unlatch the two placements from inside the trunk.

good luck!
