Is it bad if you accidentally shift your car into Park while you are driving?

It could damage the transmission. Normally it will break or damage the park pall gear. From your question, I have to assume you have doen this. If there appears to be no damage, then don't worry about it. You may be ok. You bet it is! If you actually manaqged to get it into park - then you would have had to go from drive to neutral to reveres then park - Have no clue how you maanaged that! Unless you have a manual xmission. However, there is also a parking pin that goes into the transmission that may now be broken off - bad!

Were can you get cheap tires but are good tires?

Cheap tires that are good tires is a misnomer. You get what you pay for. But you can get inexpensive tires that are pretty good tires. Walmart & Sam's Club has some good bargains at times on good tires. Watch for sales on tires in your area. Pep Boys also has good sale prices. Tire Rack is a good source of reviews on tires.

There are a few brands that you can look for Uniroyal, Hankook, Kelly, Starfire, Kumho to name a few are brands that may not be the cheapest out there have developed a reputation for quality without being too expensive

Not hard at all. 6 bolts for the sway bar, and depending on how many links 8 bolts if it is a 4 link, figure 2 bolts per link. ues jack stands to hold the rear axel in place and do it one link at a time. The sway bar cones off in one piece so do that last.

How do you find out what size engine does a 1963 Pontiac catlina has?

Open the hood and stand in front of the engine. On the front of the block on the passenger side you should find a two letter engine code. Cross reference that code against this web site.

How do you change the combination for the glove box?

The combination for the glove box can't be changed until the glove box is opened. The factory code is "000". You probably have a used car with a different code set. The first step is to find the combination. This can be rather tedious as there are 1000 integers from 0 to 999 if you allow yourself to write leading zeros and you can repeat the same digit three times. In other words they are:

I did manage to find the code for my lock in this fashion. I had my teenage daughter do it while riding by setting a number then pushing the release lever to the right to see if it opens. IE "000 push , 001 push, 002 push", etc. We did not have to change the first two number until it was necessary in the sequence.

Next to change the code per instructions in the manual are as follows:

"Push the glove box release lever to the right to open the glove box.

# With the glove box open, hold the release to the right and slide the yellow tab up.. This locks the release open and permits you to reset the code. # After resetting the code, write it down in case you forget it. # Slide the yellow tab down and the release will return to the closed position. # Close the glove box and move the dials off the code you set to lock it.

Lost Combination If you should lose or forget your combination, there is a small key which will allow you to find the combination. The key looks like a feeler gauge which notches in one end. To find the combination you should: # Insert the notched end of the key into the right side of each dial, then rotate the dial until the key is seated. # Repeat this procedure for each dial in turn and you will have the forgotten combination. # The glove box should now open. For obvious reasons the key should not be left in the glove box. The dealer will provide you with this key when you take delivery of your new Pontiac" This is all of the info in the manual about the glove box. You may or may not have the key. If not revert back to the first steps above to find the combination. I don't believe the keys are still available. I learned that the locks have been discontinued and you would have to scrounge around to find one.

Does a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8 liter v6 have a timing belt or a timing chain?

My local dealer says the vehicle (mine is the GTP with the supercharger) has a timing chain. He quoted me an estimated price of $1100 for the chain, sprockets and seals. The sprockets should be changed because they support the chain. The recommended mileage is 60,000 miles.

It's a good time to do a tune up also, if it's been a while. Some people opt to change their water pumps, if they are part of the timing chain cover. I don't know if that's the situation with the Grand Prix, however.

How do you disable the car door bell?

this is a good question worthy of a simple plan. my door bell is loud and I must silence it. so far I've come up with:

1) a fuse? I checked the manual and no "bell fuse' is listed on about 5 pages of fuse stuff. 2006 Lexus IS 250. its not in the manual.

2) where's the bell at?!?

3) break it? yes this is probably the best idea. if i can find it. its probably buried under a mtn of plastic tho.

Where are the spark plugs on a 2002 miata?

Right down the middle, on the top of the engine. You'll see 4 wires right on top, each with a small black box, which is the ignition coil. Remove each of these by the single bolt, and when you pull them off, you'll have access to the spark plugs.

If done right it's probably ok. Plugs are technically meant to be a temporary repair, the best way is a plug patch combo, its a little more expensive, but much less chance of tire failure in the long run.

What is the problem if the heat doesn't work in the 1997 MARK VIII?

Sounds like the dreaded BLEND DOOR broken, a real pain to do yourself, like part of the dash has to be taken out and the part is only a few bucks but pretty expensive if taken to a repair shop and then you have to hope they know what they are doing and put the stuff back where it belongs without screwing up something else. Hope this helps but not a easy fix. does the blower fan blow? does it blow but blow cold, do any fan speeds work?
