How do you replace the check valve for the air suspension on a mark 8?
The Mark 8 does not have a check-valve in the air suspension system. Each air spring has a solenoid valve, which controls fill and vent of the spring. There is a fifth in the suspension compressor itself, which controls venting the system. I discovered that the seat for vent valve was corroded in my compressor, which would then leak when the system was trying to fill. This resulted in the compressor running, but the car lowering. I was able to clean the seat up for a temporary repair, but ultimately replaced the compressor.

How can you replace starter of your Lincoln Continental?
You did not mention what year your continental was, but as far as I know it doesn't matter when replacing a starter. I have replaced many starters on many different vehicles and it is all basically the same. First you will need to locate your starter. It should be below your engine and if you find your transmission you will clearly be able to tell. One way to find it if you are lost is to follow your red battery cables and two of them should run into it. One bigger wire, and a much smaller one. Start by unhooking your battery to avoid being shocked. You can just unhook your negative cable but I prefer to unhook both just in case. Then locate the two or three bolts that are holding your particular starter in place. The number of bolts varies by make and year of each vehicle. Remove these(they may take some work to break loose) and then remove both wires from the starter. Take care to remember how each wire was placed and where and if it included a washer or other attachment. Then simply reverse this to install the new one. Attach the wires and then hold the starter in place and attach the bolts. Make sure they are tight but don't break them. Hope this helps. Kyle
