go to auto zone web site, register your truck ,year model and engine size, then look up starter, then to the right side of screen, click on repair guide,it will tell and show you how to remove and replace. OR:
Remove the negative battery cable. Loosen the passenger side lug nuts. Raise the passenger side of the truck enough to remove the front tire.

How do you replace the water pump on a 1993 Dodge Spirit?
Depending on engine it is pretty simple... I have a 2.5L 4Cylinder Dodge Spirit...
First u drain the coolant.
Remove Serpintine belt
Remove the A/C Compressor and keep it out of the way with someone such as rope or a bungee cord, whatever you might have to keep it up and out of the way...
Remove Alternator.
Remove the main mounting bracket that holds the AC Compresser and Alternator on.
Remove the 3 bolts holding the water pump housing to the engine block.
Now all you have to do is remove the water pump from the water pump housing then do this in reverse. Installing the new gaskets and such.
Important: you have to remove the pump pulley from the old pump and install it securely on the new pump. Chaeck that the new pump copmes with the large "J" figure plastic gasket included. While it is possible to form a gasket with silicone sealer, it is better and easier to put a smaller quantity of silicone sealer on both sides of the plastic gasket to ensure no leaks result. It took me about 4 hours to replace the pump, but I also cleaned the radiator and changed the hoses, flushing the system. Amclaussen.

This is too general to answer. We need to know the kind and year of car. GoodluckJoe
Answer2001 Chevy prismBad news, sounds like a head gasket. The coolant is blown out because the exaust is going into the water passage. The heater is cold because there is not enough water to reach it. Your temp. gauge should be hot very quickly. Take the radiator cap off, stand back, and crank the motor. If water shoots out, it's a headgasket, cracked head, or cracked block.
How hard is it to change a distributor panel on a 1996 Chevy silverado 350 Vortec Z71?
Distributor panel?? If you mean distributor cap, you first move the air intake going to the throttle body. Mark all spark plugs wires with the correct plug and unplug each one at the spark plug. Next you will find 2 screws holding the distributor cap. Remove both screws and and lift off the cap and wires while the wires are still connected to the cap. Take the spark plug wires off and place them onto the new cap in the same position you removed them. Put new cap on and tighten the screws and replace the wires to the correct spark plug. You should replace the wires and rotor button when you do this also.

There's a grinding noise when cornering right or left what causes it?
I would suspect bad wheel bearings. It can also be worn brake pads that you hear grinding, especially in a turn or while applying the brakes. If you find the brake pads are good, inspect the wheel bearings. Our 94 Pathfinder was making a noise when we sharp-turned right. Turned out to be the front right boot was broken. Hope this may help. Since 87-95 Pathfinders only came with auto hubs, the front axles do not spin when the transfer case is in 2WD. Therefore, having a broken boot would not cause any noise even when turning. Nice attempt though. -88pathoffroad
How do you replace the cam sensor gasket on a 2000 Malibu?

How do you change the points on a 94 Nissan Pathfinder?
they havent used "points" in a long time.... they all have electronic ignition now. best to leave that job to a mechanic if you dont know what your looking for.....
The cheapest route is to go to take it to a transmission shop or dealer and have the shift solonoid replaced. The shift solenoid is an internal transmission part, so the transmission has to come out for the repair. So unless you've got mad mechanical skills, this isn't something you want to tackle yourself. This repair will run (in my city) from $500 to $1000.
Wrong! 1994 -1996 Lexus ES300 1-2 shift solenoids are replaced by moving the transmission pan. You do not need to remove the transmission! 1 and 2 are wired together. You should replace the filter and the gasket since you have the pan cover removed. And unless you want to get bent over, don't take it to a local transmission shop or dealer. Find a mechanic who has transmission experience if you want to save at least half.
When do you need to replace your car's struts?
Usually when they or shocks go bad then the vehicle will bounce more. The shock/struts are supposed to cushion the road surface impact. When bad then you start feeling every little bump in the road.
