This is a temporary fix for about a year or so. what causes it to malfunction is carbon deposits. gasoline will break it up when you brush it with a nylon brush. do not!!! use a wire brush as this will damage the sensor and could cause a spark and catch fire in your hand. not a good thing to happen. hope this helps
