Yes, at least on the 3.3l engine. You'll need a shorter belt. Just ask for the belt for the non AC equiped car. There should be a diagram of the belt run in the engine compartment, but if not, the run is the same, except where currently the belt comes off the top of the alternator, goes around the AC, then back up to the idler, it will just go from the alternator to the idler.

It is RHT a good way to get it loosened is put a tire tool on the bolt let the tire tool contact the ground and give the starter a bump. Works great if u dont have a impact wrench. I have done it on several engines works great. Make sure you dont have the plug wire's on you don't want it to start!

An elevator typically uses a system of pulleys known as a block and tackle. This system consists of multiple pulleys that work together to lift the elevator car by distributing the weight and reducing the amount of force needed to move it. The stripped bolt might be able to be backed out with upwards pressure. Use a screwdriver under the bolt head and pry up while slowly turning the socket. This will be slow as the screwdriver will jump loose about every 1/4 turn.

There is a specific tool for this operation. It is a power steering pump pulley puller. This grabs the groove in the end of the pulley and pushes the punp shaft away from the pulley. Available at your parts store.

You will be best off safely jacking up the passenger front wheel. Remove the wheel for more work room. Loosen the 14mm nut on the pulley. Then back up top there is another 14 mm nut on the top loosen that. Now back under neath remove nut and replace pulley. Reverse for reinstall.

Anything that uses a belt tightens one of two ways. There is either a tension pully that is spring loaded and adjusts the tension. Some of these are always movable and some have a bolt in the face of them to lock them in place.
The other way is that one of the parts the belt goes over or around adjusts. In a car it is very often the alternator that moves to tighten the belt.
All cars and anything else that uses a belt are going to be different in where the adjustment is. It will be one of these two ways.

In the center of the drum/pully there is a bolt (or nut, depending). This is what is locking the pully in place. Loosen it (no more than it takes to free it) befor turning the adjuster. Be sure to loosly snug it down to check your final adjustment and if correct, then you can tighten it all the way. (If it is too loose when the adjustment is set then the drum/pully will move when you tighten it and throw off the adjustment.)

Growing up in Atlanta, the Pully Bone was the choice piece of chicken, wonderful tender white meat with the wish bone in the center.

My wife, a New Yorker. though I was making this up.....their chickens came from the butcher shop....no Pully bone.

I have heard there is a resturant southeast of Atlanta, that still serves Pully Bones....and you can even order a Pully Bone platter for take out.

Most idler pulley's are near the top and usually quite easy to get to. Press on the belt somewhere, enough to deflect it a couple inches and watch to see which pully is mounted on a tension spring. That is the idler pulley.

One useful trick for removing the crank bolt on the crank pulley is to place a breaker bar with socket (highly recommend a 1/2" setup in the minimum as 3/8" sockets don't fair well with high amounts of torque) on the crank bolt so as the handle of the breaker bar is resting against the frame of the vehicle and the socket is firmly on the crank bolt. Do bare in mind that the engine turns clockwise (some few motors do turn counter clockwise-- please check service manual to determine direction of rotation) as this will affect the location of the handle. Once the breaker bar is in place you will want to "bump" the motor or in other words start the car but only long enough to allow one or two rotations of the engine and absolutely no more. Once this is done the crank bolt should be finger loose. This information is provided in that the bolt may be holding you back and with the utmost caution as this is a risky procedure in which someone could be hurt by flying tools or that damage may occur to the crank bolt or frame if poor judgment is used in the correct placing of the tool. Otherwords, make sure the socket is firmly on the bolt and that the handle is not going to crush something weak such as a plastic piece or something of the sort. Good Luck!
