Are you able to file Chapter 13 10 days after your car is repossessed in Georgia?
yes, it will generate an automatic STAY of legal actions and you may be able to reaffirm the loan with FMC if you choose.A b/k attorney will be able to advise you on this.
Can you back out of the deal if you signed a contract for a new car but gave them no money?
Not legally. The auto dealer may agree to cancel the contract, but they are under no obligation to do so. Once you sign a contract, you enter into a legally binding agreement. There is no 3-day cancellation clause or anything else that can get you out of it.
Probably not. You'd have to ask an attorney.
first the law is not a law its called 'bill'. The minister discusses the idea at the cabinet meeting. The cabinet discuss whether this is a good idea and if the people will like it.
The bill in written by the minister, this bill is read in the house of commons to let all the MPs know the government wants to make a new law.
The MPs think about the bill and then discuss it. They vote whether to accept the main idea.
Then the bill is discussed by a small group of MPs who represent all the parties. They read the bill line by line and suggest changes.
How do you determine whether a 1986 corvette is a early production car or late poduction car?
cast into the top rear of the block is a four-symbol code indicating when the engine was built
I have looked at their website. It is unique to the repo industry. One of a kind. So its either the greatest thing since sliced bread OR................ You fill in the blank. It shares a lot of characteristics of a business concept that is better known to the BBB and state Attorneys General. Does it offer any training at all??? Does it offer workmens comp to its employees?? Does it meet the 4 tests the IRS uses to determine if you are really a "subcontractor"? Please let the forum know what you decide.
Yes our company has been working with repoplus for 8 months. Yes they are a real company. Yes they provide training. I am not an employee so I don't know about the workmen's comp insurance but I know they have 2.5 million in general liability and we are very happy to be affiliated with them. If you need any information send an email I would be happy to answer any of your questions.
I have filled all the paperwork and mailed it today...I will let you know if they live up to their end of the bargain!
Does anyone else have any information they can share? I would like to get some more information from someone who has a current or past employment history with Repoplus. Thanks, --Kath
Go to RIPOFFREPORT.COM and type in repo plus in the search engine and you will find a few people have shared some experiences with them...hoped it helps
Repo Plus is a fraud!
And anyone posting here that claims they have made money with this company is ASLO A FRAUD because they will not meet face to face with anyone who wants to verify it!
On another very reliable website I found this.
QUOTE: REPOPLUS LLC ADVERTISES THE FOLLOWING:
Claim: Their office is located at 20902 67th Ave NE, Suite 387, Arlington, WA 98223
Fact: The above address is only a mail forwarding business. There is no such "suite" in the building. The owner is MoneySaver Stowaway Storage & Mail Center with a phone of 360-435-3866.
Claim: They conduct business in the State of Washington
Fact: There is no business license and no corporation listed with the Secretary of State in Washington for the name of RepoPlus LLC.
Claim: Their parent corporation is filed in the State of Delaware:
Fact: No corporation is listed in the State of Delaware under RepoPlus LLC
Fact: They are listed in North Carolina, which only gives them the authority to advertise and do business in North Carolina
Claim: The Managing Director is Paul Smith.
Fact: We contacted Paul Smith to offer an endorsement of his business opportunity based on verification of the company and its claims. Two emails from "Paul Smith" were received from Amsterdam, Netherlands and not the USA. Mr. Smith declined to provide us with any information at all, which included the following questions:
1) Where their toll free number of 800-205-6512 terminates at?
2) Verify that RepoPlus LLC is licensed in the State of Washington?
3) Where their company office is located?
Claim: They conduct Surveillance, Fraud Investigations, Repossessions, Arson & Fire Investigation, and other types of investigations.
Fact: RepoPlus LLC has no private investigative license to operate in the State of Washington. Nor do we have any evidence they have a license in any other state where regulated.
Fact: RepoPlus LLC has no repossession license to operate in the State of Washington. Nor do we have any evidence they have a license in any other state where regulated.
CAUTION: Acting as a RepoPlus Agent in your state places direct responsibility and liability upon you when advertising, promoting, or performing any state regulated private investigation assignments or repossession services. Nearly all states require repossession licenses for agents. Nearly all states require a PI License for surveillance and other advertised services that RepoPlus promotes.
Claim: They claim to have 240 agents nationwide, and that each agent has a protected territory to solicit and conduct business on their behalf.
Fact: There is no evidence to support the claim that RepoPlus has 240 agents.
Fact: There are only 100 cities in the USA with a population of 100,000 or more. Therefore, it appears RepoPlus has oversold their major city business opportunities in the protected areas where they continue to promote more protected areas.
OTHER FACTS:
There is a Better Business Bureau Report in Raliegh, North Carolina which indicates RepoPlus LLC used to have an office there, under the same contact name of Paul Smith, with the same toll free 800 number that terminates to somewhere unknown.
They advertise for employees. However, the documents received all contain a business opportunity contract at a cost of $450.00
They do not accept business checks, personal checks, or any credit cards. They only accept cashier checks and money orders, which can be cashed anywhere in the world, including Amsterdam where Paul Smith's emails come from.
The four (4) contracts applicants are required to sign are authored in a manner to protect RepoPlus LLC from any criminal complaint pertaining to promising employment and income to an agent. The agent applicant, at his/her own expense, is required to establish a business name and business tax identification number before RepoPlus LLC will accept the $450.00 fee. Business to Business Agreements generally do not fall into the category of a criminal complaint as long as both parties sign. Therefore, the Business Agreement should be read very carefully as it spells out RepoPlus LLC duties of collecting a percentage on every case handled by the agent, with no guarantees of how many cases (if any) RepoPlus LLC will provide the agent. Further, their money back refund of the $450.00 is only available if the agent performs ten cases. We have no evidence that anyone has received their refund.
CAUTION: One of RepoPlus LLC requirements is gathering personal identification of the applicant when the fee is mailed in. It includes the applicant's driver's license, social security number, date of birth, and last seven years of residency.
1) All of the above information may be delivered to Amsterdam, Netherlands.
2) All of the above information is necessary to access a credit report.
3) All of the above information can lead to identity theft.
RepoPlus LLC requires a Bond Disclosure. However, there is no evidence of any bonding company issuing bonds to RepoPlus LLC for it's agents.
SUMMARY:
We cannot recommend this company based on the refusal of Paul Smith refuses to allow anyone to meet with any employee at any office in the USA and refuses to participate in verifying any item of the above; and based on the fact that no one to our knowledge has ever met Paul Smith; and based on Paul Smith's procedure of requiring his agent applicants to blindly mail in their $450 payment to a mail forwarding address without the benefit of the applicant meeting anyone at their office (wherever that may be); and based on the fact we cannot find any authorization that RepoPlus LLC can conduct business lawfully in the State of Washington; and based on the fact that RepoPlus LLC is clearly advertising services that only a licensed private investigative business in the State of Washington has the right to do; and based on the lack of evidence that their toll free number terminates in the USA when the evidence suggests it terminates in Europe; and based on the lack of evidence that there really is a commercial office where potential applicants can present their $450 fee to RepoPlus in person; and based on the company's requirement of providing personal identification to be potentially given to those in Europe where the major news organizations have reported widespread identity theft rings -

You can talk to a phony name on the phone when they CALL YOU. They use something called a spoof phone. But you NEVER MEET ANYONE TO VERIFY anything. And no PI License in ANY State and NO Repo license in ANY state.
They have been reported to Homeland Security because one of their contracts requires your SS and Drivers License and Date of Birth!

What items can they repossess?
Any item that has a "note", or a contract that you are paying on, can be repossessed if you do not pay. These can include:
Also, a repossession can be initiated if it is illegal for you to drive. For example, one person is not allowed to put a car in their name with the purpose to allow a non-licensed driver to have possession of the car. The person who is legally named on the title can re-possess the car to rectify the wrongful decision to circumvent licensing laws.
Does the repo man look for the car at your family and friends house as well?
He will try to find out where you are hiding it if that is what you are doing.
Your lien holder wants to be paid before releasing the car. You should consult with the attorney who is representing you in your bankruptcy. You cannot transfer title because you don't have clear title to transfer.
Are your ESPP Employer Stock Purchase Plan protected if one files for bankruptcy chapter 7?
Assuming you mean Employee Stock Purchase Plan, it seems to depend on whether you have purchased stock under the plan. In that case, it is an asset and if you have no exemption that applies to it, its value must be included. Some ESPP vest only on retirement and becomes part of your retirement, which would be exempt.
I recommend consulting a local bankruptcy lawyer with experience in this area.
Decrease in CRP count it was 68 now 38?
This is difficult to answer without knowing other details and blood results. CRP is an infection marker. It is raised if you have an infection. 68 is only a mildly elevated CRP and it has further decreased to 38 which indicates that the infection is healing. If there are no other clinical signs of infection, I would not worry.
If you find 100 dollars is it yours to keep?
Just keep the money until someone gives you proof that it is theirs then if they have proof run...:)

Answer
Social security disability is protected from garnishment in judgments. The only unknown I have in answering this is if the debt is for a student loan, or IRS related and or related to child support payments. Those types of loans/are not even protected if you file bankruptcy.
But if your social security income is put into a bank and you deposit other funds then a judgment can be made against the funds in that account as it is not virgin SSI money it is mixed funds and can potentially be seized. Or will cost you time and money (lawyer fees) to prove it is only SSI money.
If you need to protect you SSDI funds open a fresh account and set up automatic deposits into that new account, the NEVER, I repeat never ever deposit any non-SSI funds in that account. Never transfer money into that account from another account either (also important). This is very important i you need to cash check from time to time open a second account to deposit funds into, then spend down those funds while leaving you protected funds alone, worse case if a company gets a judgment against you and is allow possession of your bank account they can only touch the non-ssi account. Pay you rent out of the non ssi account, pay for food gas et.. until those funds are spent down then go back to paying you bills using you SSI account.
You may be required to open the account with a minimum deposit, you can open it with an actual SSI check or in my case I opened the account with $1.00 and the next funding was a direct deposit from Social Security. Worse case scenario if they claimed mixed funds, sure they can get a $1.00 from me....it will cost them a lot in legal expenses to get that buck though.
More Information
Your question suggests you're asking whether a commercial creditor can garnish your Social Security check for the outstanding balance on an auto loan.
The answer is no. Only the federal government can garnish your Social Security check, and only for limited purposes, such as payment of child support, alimony, delinquent taxes, and debt to other federal agencies.
The problem, as the first contributor mentioned, is that collectors may freeze and levy your account after the check is deposited (or direct deposit posted). The Treasury Department planned to implement new rules in 2010 preventing banks from freezing an account that receives federal benefit deposits without evaluating the past 60 days deposits. They would be required to protect any amount equal to the non-attachable deposits (whether that money had already been spent or not). Unfortunately, there's been little mention of the procedure since May 2010.
Barring voluntary cooperation from your bank, you can file a "waiver of garnishment" with help from your nearest Legal Aid Society and get a court order stopping the action. You can also notify the creditor that the income is from Social Security, and protected by federal law, and ask the bank to unfreeze your account (all in writing). The process can sometimes take awhile, but you do have legal recourse, so don't allow unethical collectors to take advantage of you.
Your Legal Aid Society will not cost you a fortune in legal bills; if you can't afford to pay, they will assist you for free.
For more information, see Related Links, below.
When a creditor wins a judgment in court against a debtor, the court will issue a judgment lien that can be recorded in the land records against the debtor's real property. Once the lien is recorded the property cannot be refinanced or sold until the lien is paid. In the case of multiple liens, they get paid off in the order by which they were recorded. That is important when there is limited equity in the property. The senior lien gets paid first. Junior lienors are often out of luck. Therefore it is important to record a lien as soon as it is issued by the court.
There are other types of liens such as tax liens, mortgages, liens for municipal services and installation of equipment and betterment liens by towns for installation of betterments such as sewer lines, roads and sidewalks.
How do you get a title for an abandoned motorcycle in Virginia?
Title for abandoned motorcycle in Virginia
How do you obtain the title for a used motorcycle in Pennsylvania?
Most individuals don't bother titling their dirt bikes, but rather rely on the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin or Importers Certificate of Origin they were given when they purchased the bikes.
In Washington state How long do you have before they can come repo your car?
One day late. I live and own 2 repo companies in Washington. Sorry, but that is the law.
Can a motorcycle be repossessed from a closed garage in New York City?
no, but you better keep it in there. Let me revise that, check your contract and make sure it says nothing about giving up your rights to let them come on to your property
