If you don't already have an oil filter wrench, pick one up at your local parts store. They're cheap and usually work well. Failing that, an old remedy is to drive a screwdriver through the filter body and use it's leverage to loosen the filter. I'd use this ONLY as a last resort. You're better off with an old filter on the car than a damaged one that leaks oil!

When mine went out, the only option from anywhere I found was to replace the entire assembly, at a cost of around $450. The actual problem is a small gear in the odometer. (it's red if I remember correctly) I searched for the gear through suppliers of car radio parts. I was unable to find one there, so I went to the stack of radios in the garage. One of them had a gear that had the correct pitch, and was about 2mm to big. So I sanded the diameter down, cut the teeth a bit deeper, and installed it. That was 3 years ago. Been working fine.

what year, and which engine? Note: if it is newer year, there are two 3.0 liter engines, a 24 valve and a 12 valve. 2000 3.0 liter engine 24 valve

You don't, they have a tension pulley that does that automatically. If the belt is too loose, the pulley most likely has to be replaced.

Thecommi ::: The serpentine belt is held by tention with a automatic belt tensioner. If the serpentine belt is loose, you will most likely have to replace the entire belt tensioner assembly. the assembly comes with a new pully.

95 Saturn was in accident and where is the fuel restart button

if your belt tensioner's spring is getting tired the belt will slacken. you either have a very very stretched out belt (unlikely) or your belt tensioner needs replacing. I recommend that you replace the belt at the same time anyway.

First, it cannot be repaired, however, there are lots of automatic seatbelts on e-bay, so find one there first (or at a local salvage yard). Remove the body trim panels carefully so as not to damage them (you may have to remove part of the dash, the body trim piece over the door, the rear trim piece over the rear door on the same side, the pieces covering the bottom of the doors and the side panel running down the side of the car (B pillar). Then, you can see the motor and track, there are three screws to unscrew the motor and two to unscrew the seatbelt track. Remove all screws being careful to mark/remember positions for reattachment. Remove the electrical connections from the old track and motor and install the connections on the new track and motor. Reinstall the body panels in the reverse order of removal.

It may be that the pump has quit. Have someone get in the vehicle and hit the washer and listen at the bottle for the pump motor to work. If nothing, replace pump motor.

Iam having the same problem with a 92 SL-1, the door locks dont drain battery's but the relay does because it is basically an electromagnet and they need juice to operate, where as a switch is just on or off. The problem I am having though is where in the world is the relay for the door locks. I paid $26.00 for it, but cant find where the bad one is to replace it. If you have this problem and you unhook the door locks, the battery will still drain. If you unplug the fuse to the door locks, your car wont start because with Saturns dumb stretegic marketing ideas, the fuse is also tied in with the fuel pump. I hope this helps both of us so we may both possibly find out where the door lock relay is.

No not a chance All mounts are WAY different not to mention the PCM and wiring and sensors
