Pull the E-Brake up one click and the lights should turn off.

The first thing I do when I purchase another used car is clean out the EGR valve of all carbon, if it cant be cleaned find a new one and use a new gasket when replacing the cleaned or new one. Hesitation could be anything, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, map sensor, tps, and the list goes on. your going to have to do your homework and give a full blown tuneup and check out a few things to get the problem narrowed down first. I also go to the bone yard and pick up spare sensors to swap out so I can find/fix the problem cheaply.

The lights on the Sidekick simply twist out from the rear of the fixture. Open the hood, unplug the wiring assembly, and twist the light bulb assembly about a 1/4 turn. You can then pull the light from the headlamp housing.

take car not to mix Ft/lbs with INCH /LBS.

above left knees is small box. with a brown plastic lid.

remove lid .

look at lid.

It says 11 gallons on my owners manual.

The A/C idle compensator solenoid is not functioning. This should be located next to the carb.

cable is demand

vacuum modulator is vacuum which translates to LOAD>

last is governor ,and this is speed bases (rpm at tail shaft)

Probably in a panel in the rear of the vehicle, or like on many fords, in the passenger side kick panel. When you find it, you're likely to see a red reset switch. This pushes a heavy ball bearing back into place and completes the fuel pump circuit.

The PCV Valve on a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick is located on top of the manifold. There is a small plastic cover that can be taken apart by pulling sideways on it. It has two or three hoses attached and is sometimes colored blue.

OK ....the , N is a 600 .... the 7 is a four-stroke four cylinder...and the 23 is the twenty - third development version of this engine .........sorry I don't have the year info . You might want to check with your dealer for that..I am still trying to find that out....

you may be starving for fuel or it is flooding

looking as sparks will tell you if it is dry or wet.

if dry, try to see if test fuel starts it.

in not , the timing belt might have snapped

compression below 150 is bad.

you said it is good so ok.

jump all over test fuel and if

car is flooding

do this.

hold gas pedal to floor WOT, and crank this activates secret unflood mode.

car may start if motor is good and has too much fuel.

fixing cars is an interactive process. simple questions and simple answers have no use. exception, where is my gas cap. bad, my car wont run right. 1000 possibles . simple answers are futile. all the best to you. (oops the dont like salutations here for some reasons) funny huh?

i use, Penzoil syncromesh in all mine... easy to find in brick stores.

the hood release lever is in the glove box...then opens like any other vehicle

From inside, you remove the foremost part of the console,Two phillip screws one on each side,lift and pull to the aft, you will have to remove the shifter and 4wd knobs, there will be a plate on the floor remove the 4 12mm. bolts and Voila, its right there.

These are as detailed instructions as I've found. I'd love a work-around if anyone finds it but it's no small job, according to my research:

Not sure why you would want to empty your master cylinder...but if you are going to be bleeding your brakes and don't want to force old brake fluid through the lines before new fluid reaches them, you can start by sucking out the old brake fluid from your master cylinder by using a turkey baster (just don't let your wife know...or better yet, buy one at the dollar store just for this purpose.)

OR, if you have a mity-mite hand vacuum pump to help bleed your brakes, use THAT to suck out the old fluid from the master cylinder.

Just be careful once you've sucked out what you can (if flushing system w/new fluid) to immediately put fresh fluid in before the brake pedal is touched...otherwise you risk getting air bubbles in your brake lines, that will mean a lot more pumping and bleeding until all the air is forced all the way through the brake lines and out past your wheel cylinders.

If you want to drain it because you have to replace it, just suck out all you can, put an old towel under it before loosening the brake lines that lead from it, and any residual fluid will leak onto the towel as you disconnect the lines and master cylinder itself.

BEWARE: Brake fluid is death to car paint! Drape accordingly, and if any fluid DOES leak onto a painted surface do not pass go, go directly to clean-up mode.

This always works for me.drain aquart,litre of oil from motor & top up with transmission fluid (automatic).Has great cleaning ability. I would recommend you purchase a product called Seafoam Motor Treatment. I have seen this product work wonders on sticky lifters. It may take 2-3 treatments to solve the problem. It is not cheap, but excellent products rarely are.

It sounds like there is a leak inthe evaporator section of your air conditioner. If this continues, the air conditioner will no longer cool and you may have to replace several components of the system. The smell is that of atomized esther oil.

I just did this today on a 1995 Suzuki sidekick and I do not know if this applies to other years or models or variants ,First disconnect the negative side of the battery. Remove the emissions vapor can just above and to the side of the alternator. There is an electrical harness that runs close to the alternator that goes to several sensors above it. Disconnect the harness from those sensors so that you can get to the alternator. Mark all connections if you need to. Remove the wires at the back of the alternator. Remove the upper bracket used to tension the alternator. Now this as the toughest part for me, loosening and removing the Two lower bolts that mount the alternator, there is one that goes straight in from the back and one from the front, these are the bolts that it pivots on. you may need to get that buddy of yours that has the girl hands cuz there is not much room there. I was able to get both bolts with an open end wrench. One the bolts are out swing it around till the pully is pointed down and work it out through the top. now replace in reverse order.

I had oil on the sparkies on my old saturn... my valve cover gasket and the inner rings were toast try replacing them... |-|3x@|_07

The firing order for a 1997 Suzuki Sidekick SOHC L4 is 1, 3, 4, 2. The number one cylinder is at the front of the engine and 4 is closest to the passenger compartment.
