If you are asking will the car run with out it? The answer is yes. Will it run well is another question. Also depending on the state it could also be illegal. Some issues is that the designers have accounted for the converter being there and know it has back pressure and flow issues they take into account. So removing it can cause issues you would also need to deal with to get things running good again.

After checking the manual I dont see any differences. It shows differences at 89 and 95 but noe from 90 to 93. At least not in my book.

You might want to look at a splash guard removal first and then go from there. I know that on a 1997 4Runner you have to remove splash guard and other items just to get to the motor. I know that on the 1997 it does not go straight down. It goes down then makes a hard bend to the middle of the vehicle in the firewall. There is no access from the inside of the vehicle.

The 4 Runner is not a drive by wire system. Meaning the gas pedal is Mechanically connected not Electronically connect via a computer. It's still connected the old fashion way. (Thank You!)

you need to pull your timing belt set your cams to zero they have timing marks and crank your engine to tdc and put your timing belt back on make sure everthing is at zero or you will not be able to get your timing right by moving your distributer.

On the 1996 Hombre it is in the glove box on the passenger side of the car. They may not have moved it that far in 2 years.

Should go something like this. 1. Purchase new parts.
2. Follow the upper Radiator hose back to the block your Thermostat should be there.
3. Get a 12mm socket and extension if you need it and the Ratchet.
4. Turn the Ratchet Counter Clockwise to loosen them and then remove them.
5. Now get a puddy knife or something from your toolbox to clean and remove the old gasket.
6. Place new gasket and thermostat on the engine (sealant may be required) and replace the bolts.
7. Tighten the bolt Clockwise to the required torque. For correct steps and other detailed info

I was told the same thing....There IS a pcv valve and it can only be purchased from the dealer. Go to the normal spot for a pcv valve (passenger side valve cover near the firewall) There will be a hose connected there, follow that hose to where it connects at the other end. That is the pcv valve. it also has two smaller coolant lines attached and is held in with two screws.

For a Toyota Pickup?? You do not have to remove the rotor to change the brakes, for that matter you do not have to remove the caliper either. To change the front brakes: 1) Remove cover on brake master cylinder. This will relieve pressure in the system for step 2. 2)Remove tire. Leafing the original brake pads in place C-clamp on brake pad and outside of caliper. Lossen the bleeder valve. Turn c-clamp to squeezed caliper pistons back. Fliud should squirt out of bleeder valve. Once the calipers are all the way back inot caliper, undo brake pad clip and pull pins back. 3) The old pads will slide out the back of caliper, insert new pads in and replace clip. 4) Don't forget to bleed the brakes. A chiltons manual will walk you through it step by step.
