How to replace 1988 Toyota pick up heater core?
I have '89 pickup, and my advice would be get a couple estimates cause its a b----! Currently in the process, and if you are not prepared to totally remove all dash components, drop steering wheel, remove reinforcement bar just to get access to the core, then you may want to rethink! Its going to take time and a lot of patience to get it back right. I have about six hours so far, so I,m sure at least double to get it back. Wish I had gotten estimates! Goo Luck!
Where are the fuse boxes located on a 1992 Toyota pick-up?
There is one under the left dash and one in the engine compartment.
IF>.....you have lots of mileage and wear on your tranny,,,then it sounds likely that the "brass synchronizer rings" on your 1st and 3rd gears are worn. These brass rings ride on a machined smooth surface on the front end of your transmission gears (look in a tech manual for visual descrip.). they have teeth on them to match the synchronizing teeth on the front face of your transmission gears. Their function is to create a smooth shift from gear to gear in your transmission without creating any grinding or wear on your transmission gears. The shifting is done with a shift fork in your transmission that is attached to a shift hub that grabs the brass rings and synchronizes them to the teeth on the gear you are shiftin into..smoothly. The reason it is able to do this without any grinding, is because brass is a softer material, and yields more to create less resistance. However, brass, being soft, will wear easier than the case hardened steel that the gears are made of, thus the teeth on the brass rings become worn after time, and need to be replaced. The worn teeth on the brass ring are unable to hold the main gearshaft and gears in the tranny in place, so the shift hub and brass ring "jump out" of gear. Now..the big problem is,,,,now that you are thoroughly confused due to my inability to write effectively in short simple answers...how in the world will you be able to even understand this paragraph of jumbled, monumental and technical B.S.!!!!!!!! ( i hope you can though, and that this answer sheds some light...even if it is the wrong diagnosis!)..good luck!

How do you replace the heater core in a 1993 Toyota pick up 22r?
You'll have to drain your coolant and disconnect the two coolant hoses that go to your heater core at the firewall. Remove the 2 bolts you see between the hoses on the firewall. Inside, you'll have to remove you entire dash. The support bar that runs from door to door needs to be removed. From here, the linkage from the controls needs to be removed, the screws securing the heater core housing to the rest of the ducting and A/C core need to be removed. There are a number of nuts that must be removed at the inner firewall as well. The heater core housing is 2 piece. Unscrew the retainer screws and separate the 2 halfs to expose the core. Good luck!
Is there any one who has a vacuum hose diagram for a 1988 Toyota pickup 22Re 4x4?
Try autozone.com They have a good "Emissions" section, that breaks down into componets. They don't have everything ever invented, but they have the biggest slection of vacuum diagrams, all on one site, that I have ever found.
Where is the fuel filter located on a 1986 Toyota 4X4 pickup?
Most sites will say that is is located, Under vehicle, passenger side, below seating area, near fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line". This may be true but on some Toyota's I have found it to be located drivers side, under the intake manifold. It is a black filter and extremely hard to see and hard to access and replace. If you find the filter located under the intake, you can access it by removing the left front wheel. You will see a rubber shield just above the frame. Pull this shield back and you can see the filter and be able to access it. Very hard filter to remove and replace. Good Luck.
What causes the check engine light to come on in a 1994 Toyota pickup?
Pull the codes from the computer, match the code to the troubleshooting procedure, follow the procedure to find the source. Repair the source, light will go out if that was the only problem. There are "monitors" or self test the computer runs the car through, if a problem occurs, it may not run all of the self tests until that problem is taken care. Therefore, another problem may exist. It is emission related. We just found out that the check engine light on our 1993 Toyota Pickup is due to a bad "knock sensor".

Should there be oil leaking through your carburetor mount if not what can you do to cure this?
You Should Not be getting oil leaking ANYWHERE in the carb(urettor) /fuel feed system
1: If by carb mount U mean the manifold/head joint then a: Possible Head crack b: Leak may be from bad tappet cover gasket c: Major Valve/Head problems ( engine will run rough if at all) 2: If U mean the rubber mount under the carb itself then: Most likely cause is an unusually high condensation of oil blown up the breather pipe into the air filter enclosure which is dribbling down the side of the carb. This is fairly common in worn engines (worn compression rings at least) Otherwise provide more detail (try to pinpoint exactly where the oil is coming from, is Air filter housing oiling up inside, Car Running rough, poor starting even after tune up, etc) or Get a Professional Opinion Either way closer examination is required, it sounds like U're in 4 a minimum of an engine split (head off at least) Good Luck
The above refers to golf/Jetta Mk 1 models. I have no idea if the carb layout is similar in any of the higher Marks.
If what you mean is oil in the carb, then maybe you have a PVC valve problem. When the PVC valve gets plugged, oil from your exhaust backs up into the air filter, then gets drawn into the carb. Check to see if this is the case. A PVC valve and a filter is a lot easier to handle for repairs than a block or head gasket. Good luck.
Where is the thermostat located on a 1992 Toyota truck?
On my 92 Toyota Pickup V6 4X4, it is located in a different section than on the 4cyl. If you are looking straight at the engine, look to your right and down into the engine. Look for the LOWER radiator hose and follow it into the engine block. Romove the housing and this is where the thermostat on my truck was located
The tail light bulb is the bottom one and is a 1157 that has two elements. One element can still operate for the signal but the tail element is broken. Replace this bulb with a new 1157. Fuses don't control left or right, they control both together. Fuse goes, both go. Check pigtail for corrosion (white looking powdery substance) and clean it if needed, and check for voltage at the pigtail. If no voltage, trace wiring from bad light socket, toward fuse box, checking every few feet, for voltage, until you get a good voltage reading. From that point, back to the tail light socket, the wire needs to be replaced. Don't forget to check the ground, also.
