Turn Signals and Hazard Lights

Hitch the trailer. Connect the lights. Start your car or truck. Turn the turn signal on. Get out and go behind the trailer. See if they blink. Repeat for the other side.

Flashing RED: clear the active runway.

There isn't a flasher box. What you want is the flasher which is located near the fuse box, or is clipped on to the underneath edge of the dash near the steering column.

Turn signal flasher relay is mounted on the top side of the fuse box under the drivers side of the dash. The relay will be the largest, may be blue in color if original, and will be located toward the passenger side of the vehicle on the assembly. You will need to remove the fuse box in order to access this. Fuse box can be removed by unscrewing the 7MM(as far as I remember) bolts attaching the black plastic mounting brackets on the sides, and the 10mm bolt attaching the large wiring harness, unplugging the other plugs, and pulling down / sideways. Warning - It may be much harder to get back in!

The turn signal relay on a 2001 Chevy Tahoe is located behind the lower dashboard on the driver's side. It is just to the left of the cigarette lighter.

Try checking the turn signal flasher. Not to be confused with the hazard flasher.

Please consider the fuse box to find the flasher relay. Owner's Manual will give the fuse box's exact location and may have a list of which electrical function each fuse controls (in top-to-bottom, left-to-right order). Try looking under the hood near the windshield for a rectangular plastic cover (may be labeled "fuse") which may also have a list of each fuse's function and maximum electrical current number (probably also color-coded). Turn signals may be called "position lamps", "turn signals" or "warning/emergency lamps/lights", and they may have separate fuses for lamps on right- and left sides. Fuses are easily removed with tongs or thin pliers, and you should see a single thin strip of metal inside each fuse. When you find no such piece of metal, or two separate pieces, the fuse must be replaced. You probably have a set of extra fuses in the fuse box or glove box. Fuse box may also be located under the dashboard, somewhere between the steering wheel and driver's door. Good luck!

It's actually very simple. There should only be 1 screw holding each turn signal enclosure in place. It will be exposed at the top of the enclosure when you pop the hood open. Just remove that screw, and pull the enclosure towards you. The wiring will now be at your finger tips. Install your new bulb, then replace entire assembly.

It is located on the drivers side, under the dash, mounted on the drivers side of the steering column.

odds are its the flasher, its a small silver can somewhere under the dash, its the thing making the clicking sound when they did work

The light bulb is probably burned out. Take it to a shop to have it replaced if you don't know someone to do it for you. Do it before you get pulled over by a police officer; you'll get a warning, a time limit to have it repaired and if you fail to get it fixed, you'll get a fine. So don't leave it.

Open and secure the hood with the support bar. Locate the black retaining bar that secures the turn signal lense casing located directly behind and on top of the lense case. The retaining bar connects to the car body. With a flat head screw driver pop up the plastic fastener. The lense case is now loose and is connected only by two snaps. One snap is near the left center and one is on the right center. Use the screw driver to pry the lense case from the fender side while pulling the lense case straight out and towards the center of the car. Little effort is required. Be carefull with the car's finish as you pry the lense from the fender. Once the lense case is off, twist to remove the plug. Remove the bulb and replace it using bulb grease on the bulb's base to reduce moisture related problems. Reassemble the lense case by following the steps in reverse.
