How do you replace the inside drivers side door handle on a 2000 VW Beetle?

Is the VW reliable?

Yes, if properly maintained.

I would add to that answer that the VW's have historically had occasional quirky electrical behaviors. Such as, if I drove my 98 Jetta into a large puddle, making a big splash, my engine would quit. The problem was finally fixed with a new coil. That same car was on its third fuel pump relay when retired.

I had a friend with a Beetle who would slilcon spray his ignition wires to prevent this same "cut-out" ignition problem above.

How do you replace reverse gear in 1974 vw bug will not back up?

Changing the reverse gear is not an easy task. Transmission needs to be removed, disassembled partly ( 50% ). I would highly suggest that you attempt adjusting the shift rod collar under the rear seat first. When reverse is engaged, the rod slides forward in the tunnel, pulling the collar forward as well.As time and miles add to the wearing out of all the related shifting parts, the collar may need a simple adjustment. Remove rear seat bottom, and the oval access cover at the rear of the tunnel.Put transmission in neutral. Loosen the lock bolt on the shift rod end of the collar and be sure to see that the shift rod does in fact slide further into the collar just a little more than it was when you first started ( about 1/8 inch more ) retighten lock bolt and test reverse ability. if it still fails you, it is time spend the $$ on a rebuilt trans. These can be as little as 350.00 or as expensive as 2000.00 depending on who you shop.

What turbo does a 300zx have?

That depends on which model you have, but it either used a Garret T3 ('84-'87) or T25 ('88-'00).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the 1990-1996 Nissan 300ZX (Z32) the stock turbos are two (2) T25 turbos. Note: The automatic transmission models come with a smaller Turbine A/R than the Manual transmission. So, the automatic's turbos might spool a tiny bit faster, but will die off sooner in the higher RPM's I have no knowledge of the previous model 300ZX's turbos, sorry.

This is fairly easy... however: DISCONNECT NEGATIVE TERMINAL FIRST!!

# Make sure your car is off # Keep your oem head unit codes handy in case you need to reset it

# Disconnect you're negative terminal (use a rubber coated socket wrench to loosen the screw holding it in, make sure you wrap it in a rag to avoid it touching any ground on your car, and tape it off or hold it somewhere) # Disconnect the positive terminal # Reconnect your positive terminal # Reconnect your negative terminal # Then secure your battery covers and start your car and you're done!!

The gas gauge on your 1984 300 ZX doesn't work how do you fix it the rest of the panel works just fine?

it could be one of a couple things. First, check the connections to the gauge at the back of the cluster bezel. Second, it could be the float on your fuel pump might be stuck or the sending unit might be damaged. Lastly, if it is not any of these you should just replace the gauge with an after market one, if you are concerned about making it look stock/original, go to a junk yard and get a new gauge or cluster bezel, if they try to charge you to much at the junk yard, eBay it.
