look under the bonnet!!

pop your bonnet and top right corner next to your battery you have your ecu glow plug relays and fuses and cables ... its there lol

Remove the engine cover (3 bolts) and air box (the screws to take out are numbered or arrowed - can't remember which) and then you can get to the plugs with a plug spanner on a half inch socket extension.

No 4's abit tricky to get back in - don't drop it or it's hell to retrieve.

i would call a dealer 1st. 2nd does

You will need to run a diagnostics test on it. If you don't have one take it to a garage to reset it.

It may well be faulty but most of the time its just dirty sensors that result in a misreading ECU. Another common fault is the 40amp fuse on the ABS circuit - this is under the bonnet next to the battery, NOT in the dashboard fusebox. After a number of years this can crack, leading to an intermittent loss of power to the ABS pump (which the ECU if read will report as an ABS Hydraulic Pump failure). So check all the strip fuses there and replace if necessary. Note that even if it's something simple like the fuse, you may still need to reset the ABS warning light either at a garage or with your own diagnostic tool if you have one.

change the temp switch first and if its the same as before then someone has taken the thermostat out which causes the engine to stay cool.

Open the Bonnet, And Remove the Grill Look at the back of the Badge and seek the Holding Points , Turn or Pull in Correct way.

There is one reversing light. There is one reversing light.

The standard spark plug gap for a Volkswagen Polo 1.4i is 0.045 inches. The gap represents the space between the tip and the electrode.

The 2003 fall ball Polo door panel is held in place by eight retaining clips and two screws. Remove the two screws. The screws can be found near the door latch handle. Remove the retaining clips by prying outward.

Buy replacement bolts and rubbers from vw dealer - £25

cut away old rubbers to get at old bolts, they are hex key types but are probably rounded off so either drive in slightly larger spline fitting, or go directly to bolt splitter. Tighten on and you have enough space to tap loose with hammer. Replace with new suff. Terrible design & poor quality for vw.

My car is a 2000 VW Polo, I just power on and off the radio about fifteen - tewnty times and it comes out of safe mode.

It's normal condensation. That's why you can see your exhaust more in the winter when the air is cold. Just a little side bar fact: people that usually drive short distances periodically (like if you work a couple miles from your house) have there mufflers rust a part quicker due to the fact that the condensation doesn't get blown all the way out of the exhaust so it causes internal rusting. It's condensation unless it smells 'sweet'. If it has a definite anti-freeze sweet smell then this would suggest a leaking head gasket. If it's just a little water, especially during short drives, don't worry about it.

There is a set sequence to reset the light using the indicators and trip comp button search google and im sure ull find it

We have recently had this problem fixedon our 1999 1.4 Polo. Its my wife car and the car would drive fine for 95% of the time but when she slowed down at a junction or traffic lights it would suddenly cut out. It would restart immediately and continue to drive ok. Some days it wouldn't cut out at all and some days it would cut of 5 times.

We took it to a garage and they found 2 pipes blocked. Since the pipes where changed it has not cut out at all, however it idles very high, about 1500 revs, so they have got to have another look.

I had this same problem before with my Ibiza (same car different name). Is it when you clutch & break at the same time? Be careful clutching & breaking going around corners because you loose the power steering too. I never got mine fixed but I think its the airflow meter. One friend has the problem & diagnostics told her nothing. Another payed 800 to get it fixed. Common problem.

got my polo 1.4 l fix for £35 same problem working like a new car , my polo is 11 years old hope this helps .

its quite simple just remove your seat and fairing and almost directly below where the seat is your battery is sitting upright. just disconnect the cables and pull it out.how do you remove the seat on a vfr 400

I believe I read somewhere of a suggestion that the answer can be found in the owner's manual. I would try and find out by looking it up in a repair manual at the library, buying a repair manual, or having it reset by the person who services the vehicle (if they have the diagnostic hardware to read and reset the onboard computer). Hope this helps!

Let's think about this one...use a diffrent door,or go to your nearest VW store and buy yourself a new lock!

Electronic Pedal Control

i have a polo 1.6 manual transmission mod 2005. I change oil at the company's garage, they are using castrol full synthetic 10/40 for this model since 2008, they used 15/50 in 2006 and 2007. Hope it helps

The air tube that connects the pump to the door that isn't unlocking has a leak somewhere and needs to be replaced.

very simple, never.

the 2.8 and 2.9 vr6 engines do not have cambelts, they have camchains.

the chains do not have a reccomended change interval however they may start to rattle slightly after many years of abuse then they could do with changing other than that they should outlive the car.

It is on the left side driver,s board panel (you have to open driver,s door fully) just put a screwdriver into small hole and open the hatch.Inside you will find fuse layer and players for them. don't mention..........

For the 8 valve I believe its 60,000 miles however would recommend it at 40,000 as mine was pretty ropey at 55,000. Does depend on usage so would always go at least every 3 years.
