A snowy one; animals need to survive and a white wolf would stick out like a sore thumb if it came to a forest that didn't have any white in it and sticking out against your own surroundings is a hard way to survive because they need to camouflage themselves to hide from animals bigger than them. (White wolves are actually just a subspecies of grey wolves; there are only a few types of species of wolves in the world. Grey wolf, red wolf, and the many subspecies of the grey wolf. The only white wolves recorded that I found were subspecies of the grey wolf.)

There are Arctic wolves way up north, above the Arctic Circle.

More precisely, wolves live north of the 15th parallel (North) in North America, and above the 12th parallel (North) in Eurasia.

Considering the facts the A) wolverines are rarely seen and even less often captured and B) out of the 11 wolverine pups born in captivity in 2009, only 1 survived, a wolverine pup could possibly cost upwards of 20,000 USD. That sucks though, they'd make one hardcore pet... they'd catch on with bikers I'm sure.

You would have to check your local laws first, and see if they have any language governing wolf hybrids. Saarloos Wolfhonds may be a recognized breed, but they would still be considered a hybrid in most cases. Make sure you're on good terms with your neighbors before you bring the dog home, as some would likely throw a fit at a "wild animal" moving in next door. And it goes without saying, but make sure you're prepared for the prospect of owning such a dog, as they are not suitable for most homes. Other than that, I would think you could find a breeder who would be willing to export a puppy to the US. The colours, i think, are to do either with their personality or their hair / skin colour. For example, Jacob Blacks wolf colour is a brownish colour, which is the colour of his skin. Sam, who I believe we saw at La Push Beach in the movie, I think his colour was black, which is the colour of his hair. Seth Clearwater was Sandy coloured, I always thought that was his hair but i may be wrong, and Leah is silver or grey, i think that ones personality.
