I have a '91 RS with a 2.2 4 cyl engine and came across the pcv valve by accident- it is inside of the valve cover. Look at the top of the valve cover on the passenger side. There will be a hose- one end goes to the intake manifold and the other to a plastic fitting (with a nut) on the vlave cover. Take off hose and unscrew plastic fitting. Fitting will have 3 prongs on it and a "O" ring. Take needle nose pliers and reach into the valve cover to pull out the pcv valve.There should also be a "O" ring on the pcv valve which holds it into place. Put "O" ring on new valve and push back in by hand- you will feel it "snap" in. Screw back in plastic fitting and connect hose.

Wheel bearings and allignment. Can be tires as well and sometimes even a bad motor mount.

usually, fan sensor is on block water outlet. that's where the hose leaves the block and goes back into the raidiator. you 'll find two sensors at that point. more than likely tho, if your fans not owrking its the fan relay that's bad, I'll bet on it.

on a 2.2 you just need a 3/8 drive rachet or 15mm wrench to release tension from tensioner.2.4 liter is about the same but you must remove the motor mount.gm Jim

If you are referring to the low pressure valve for charging the air, I found mine (1988 pickup) somewhat deep in the lower front left of the engine. The low and high pressure valves on my pickup were very close to each other and the low pressure valve points inward (toward the driver). There is about 2" of clearance above the valve port which makes it immensely frustrating to charge, especially with a R134a conversion kit. The conversion adapter cuts your clearance down to about 1", and almost all recharge cans have a hose so short you can't even turn the can upside down or shake it. Plus, everything around the port gets hot enough to burn your fingers when the engine is running. I found a R134a extension hose at Auto Works but it didn't work with the conversion nipple, the freon wouldn't go through. I finally located a R12/134a angled converter from Napa Auto Parts for around $7 bucks, but I noticed the R12 screw on doesn't have a pin in it to open the valve. Apparently you have to remove the valve core stem on the port. I can't find any article on the web that says yes or no on that, and nobody at any auto store knew either. I bought a valve core removal tool at Napa just in case also and am going to try both ways tonight. Going on my 2nd week attempting to charge the air. What a nightmare.....at least its been under 90 degress out lately. Hot and Burned

the CD player has 2 little black covers on the edge of it, 1 on the left and 1 on the right. take them off(don't loose them cus u'll never find a replacemnt for them) then use 2 DIN tools(or just use a hanger cut 2 pices of and bend them into a "U" shape) and insert into the 4 holes that are revealed after taking the little covers off. push the DIN tools away from the radio and pull the radio out at the same time.

I had a 1991 Chevy Cavalier and I needed to replace the flasher bulb as well. It took awhile but I found it under the drivers side dash. It's a circular shaped aluminum fuse.

There is no pcv "valve" on the 2.2 but the pcv "system" keeps oil from getting into the intake. I'm trying to fix my 2.2. Oil everywhere.

The throttle body is getting iced up, put on a different style air filter, or eliminate the warm air return on the intake hose. On a different note, It could be the ignition coil failing when it gets hot, Quite a common problem . Check for spark as soon as it stalls .

I replaced mine about a month ago .. i have a 94 chev cavalier 5 speed... As you can see its not exactly with the rest of the fuses.. but its not far from them.. it is located about 6 inches below the actual fuse box located there in the lower dash... actually you will need to remove the lower half of the dash cover ..then.. as you are looking up with the regular fuses to your right... it is located also to your right ... right against the outside 'wall' ... If you mean the car not moving when you say "run" then the answer is yes

The main effect you will notice the car stalls and goes dead. The computer shuts down the fuel injectors. If you have problems with the theft system and "NORMAL" procedures dont reset the theft system, check the plug on the wire harness under the battery and there are a couple of "ground wires" under there ,too.

It's on the relay panel under the dash, on the bottom right. It has a number 387, 389, or 192 printed on it, depending on the features your car came with.

The oil capacity for the 2.2L engine is specified as 4.0 qts.

broken thermostat would cause this. depending on how much the car has overheated, and how often, you may need a new engine block/head/gasket, due to the irregular heat cycles of this engine. if the heads or the block are warped bad enough, you can check your engine oil. if it looks like chocolate milk, or has a watery film mixed with the oil, you have a blown head gasket or a warped cylinder head. this will cause major problems with your engine, requiring it to be rebuilt or replaced completly. also, check your coolant level. if the coolant is low, you will have problems opening the thermostat. the only way you should be loosing coolant is if you have a leak somewhere... this leak can be caused by a loose hose connection, a blown head gasket, a warped engine block, a wapred cylinder head, or a couple other problems. no matter what, check your oil for coolant.

Should be at the bottom or rear of radiator or remove lower radiator hose
