Buick Rendezvous

The A/C pressure switch is located on the driver side towards the radiator. It is installed on a tube that the refrigerant runs through on its way to the evaporator. It screws in and has a connector with 2 wires coming out of it.

I believe it is screwed onto the side of the receiver/dryer unit. It has a two-wire electrical connector and if replacing the switch, use a new o-ring lubricated with ester oil. After you screw the new switch on, it will probably leak. Remove it, reseat the o-ring, and screw it back on and it will no longer leak.

Without the model year, I cannot give you very specific informtion but trust me, its very, very easy to do.

they are two separate fuses. so two separate chimes. look at your fuse box.

The coolant temperature sensor, which is located behind the engine block near the firewall, senses when the coolant temperature reaches a predetermined temperature so that the transmission can shift into overdrive. This sensor and the hose preceding it can get gunked up with cystallization from the coolant (red Toyota coolant is notorious for doing this) and can prevent proper flow to the sensor i.e. your transmission may take longer to shift into overdrive or may not shift at all depending on how constricted the hose is.

It sounds like the steering wheel is locked, try to wiggle the wheel at the same time you turn the key.

First you have to remove the bar above the battery [It has three bolts] one behind the fuse box and two above the radiator. Then Remove negative and positive cables. The battery has a battery hold with one bolt located at bottom behind the battery. finally lift and replace battery.

I believe you just hold down the H and the M button till they change but it should be in your owners manual.

Use the wrench that came with the car. Turn counter clockwise.

This is not a good thing to do. If you are having difficulties with your brakes, you should take it into a mechanic.

Not sure why, (might have something to do with leaving my cellfone car charger plugged in most of the time, whether the cellfone is connected or not) but this happened also on my 2005 Buick Rendezvous. I thought I'd checked all the fuses, but turns out the fuse is in the under the hood fusebox, not the one inside the car - passenger side left - console. I found the correct fusebox under the hood, passenger side close to the windshield. A 20 amp fuse was blown, the one for the 2 cigarette lighters. There's another cigarette lighter (or power outlet) at the rear of the 2005 on the left side of the hatch opening interior. This one was still working! PS - dealer wanted $138 for diagnosis when I asked this question, I did a little research, bought mini-fuses (which are the right ones), replaced the fuse, everything working perfectly now - not bad for a 68 yr old great-grandma with big curiosity about how things work!

I have seen this before more than likely your coolant sensor has a internal short and needs to be replaced.

The sister of a friend of mine had a similar thing occur and discovered that the little flap for the gas tank had fallen off or was not closing properly. It's that metal little thing that pushes aside when you insert the nozzle for the gas.

Buick Rendexvous Spark plugs change: 3 of them of are in the front so thats easy and the other 3 are in the back of the engine thats not easy but can be done! To do the 3 in the back you,ll need to watch a video on youtube showing one how to roll the engine forward to get to those 3 plugs.. watch it again on youtube... have Fun!

The gas cap light will go out automatically after you tighten, or replace the gas cap.

Most likely they share the same bulb and you have a bulb burnt out.

One of the lines has a valve color coded blue. You use a refill can (from auto parts store) and it works like a tire valve. Instructions will be on the can. Get one with a guage so you can tell if it even needs more and look for a leak when you fill.
